The Vibrants sound good on camera, but I'm sure the Flowmasters or any other quality muffler will have a more "open" sound....

The Flowmaster was louder but way too “Boaty”, Vibrant much more refined. Now get rid of the mids!

Not sure about that. One thing with Vibrant resonators is that they deepen the exhaust tone, but real mufflers have a more open sound....
At the end of the day,I prefer the stock sound.Once you remove the mid mufflers,you get that raspy Mustang note,and lose the stock deep tone, that Dodge is known for.
If you want to improve the stock sound, without chopping up the exhaust,with crappy welding,that can eventually lead to rattle and leak.Leave all the stock mufflers on,mid and rear.Remove the cats, install catless pipes,or long tube headers,that go all the way to the X pipe,and retune it.Or put O2 sensor spacers,if you only removed the cats,the cheap route.It will sound more open and throaty,without the rasp.You will lose much more weight off the car,and you might get a little hp and torque increase,granted it's retuned.

I was thinking Flowmasters or Borla for a more open sound. Vibrants tend to deepen the sound, but the Flowmasters in this case give the sound more range....

Prefer the subdued sound of the Vibrant. Inside, it seems easier to live with. But I'm old and in need of comfort most of the time 😅

Those mini mufflers or resinators that you cut off of these sound really good on other vehicles. Got a pair on my truck and enjoy the sound

I have knockoffs of the Vibrant ones on my Scat. Replacing the mid mufflers. Sounds like the black cat. Sounds so damn good. Mine are TotalFlow brand.
I will go with flowmaster outlaw because it's louder than the second one in the last clip in my opinion
Why were the rear resonators replaced with the vibrants over the mid mufflers?
It’s almost universally agreed on vibrants sound best replacing the mid mufflers - both my hellcats were done that way and the sound is a lot nicer 🤷♂️
