However, the Defense is bringing witnesses to the stand who claim that alleged assault was just Kendy Howard falling and hurting herself, one year before she was found with a gunshot wound to her head.

It does happen. My niece did it. She was doing better than she had ever been doing in her life. The happiest woman (we all thought). Then one day, she went in her bedroom she shared with her husband, shut the door, and pulled the trigger.
She had recently gotten married within that year, bought a new house and car, got a great job. Was moving on from the horrible marriage she had previously. He caused her to lose custody of her children. She was getting them back. But something was wrong. Nobody knows. Only she did.

That is the most likely time a spouse or partner will be murdered by their abuser, the abuser does not want to lose control of their victim and would rather see them dead than free.

Victims never seem to learn the truth about their partner until it is too late. The grief and sheer suffering it causes is beyond measure.

UPDATE: As of early Saturday evening, Former Idaho State Police Trooper Daniel Howard is no longer listed as an inmate at the Spokane County Jail. He is being extradited back to Kootenai County and will be in court Monday.
SPOKANE, Wash. - Former Idaho State Police Trooper Daniel Howard, who is currently on trial for the murder of his wife, was arrested at the Spokane International Airport on Friday night.
According to jail records, Howard was booked into Spokane County Jail at around 10:40 pm on Friday. He is being held as a Fugitive from Justice pending extradition.

So I'm kind of agreeing with the prosecution on this one. He's making an assumption. He heard curse words, he didn't see her fall, he didn't say what she injured. He's coming to the courtroom stating the fact that this could be a reason why she had those injuries. But you don't even know what injury she had or what she did to even bring it up into courtroom in the case to begin with.
She could have just dropped what she had in her hands and cussed then bent to pick it up. 🤷♀️

Some law enforcement tend to run their personal relationships the way they treat criminals. It’s tough to mentally clock out at the if of a shift for some. I do believe this trooper was abusive and controlling by nature.

The first coroner that saw Kendy, didn’t seem incompetent to me 🤷♀️. His testimony was just fine. He didn’t have any memory lapses or anything. I was watching for any signs of incompetency. Nothing. The state definitely wanted their own hired gun. Not saying the dude is innocent OR guilty. This one is a hard call, even since he has tried to take off. Trying to flee doesn’t make a person guilty (don’t make ya look good either!)

These "friends" would get a woman killed. As she was. My ex's friend contacted me after I left, I had been battered. He told me he was disgusted with my ex and anything i needed he would be there etc. At the court case, my ex's lawyer read a character witness letter from this man, praising my ex, and trying to discredited me. You cannot trust abusive mens friends or family. Birds of a feather flock together. Tell them nothing. Trust your own side only and get out in silence. Then go to the police.
The attorney during the cross examination was putting way too much pressure on the neighbor. The neighbor was speaking well on behalf of both sides. But the attorney was acting like he wanted the neighbor to say the perfect words and phrases, almost demanding that the neighbor say things the attorney's way.
