Often when I'm listening to her, my throat tenses up and my eyes get all teary, and I realize her music is creating a wave of emotion from some deep and dormant place within. I feel wistful and nostalgic and hopeful and sad. She has an amazing gift.

I had brain surgery in late June 2021, and this is the song I listened to on replay as I healed. This song gave me hope and peace in my heart, such an amazing song. I just heard it today, September 3, 2021, and I am still alive and remembering more and more each day (surgery kind of caused me to forget things) and I am so grateful to God that I am still here to listen to my song. I need a road trip to sing along at full volume. I love this song even though I am not in love today, but one day, till someday.

Hey Priscilla, it's perfectly ok not to be happy sometimes/a lot of the time especially considering external circumstances most of which we have absolutely no control over anyway. People often talk about happiness like it's some sort of "thing" we can achieve which is total bs. It's a temporary state of being at best. Even when life is going great/almost "perfect" even, life will throw you a curveball/challenge that will test how "happy" you are. You have every right to feel shit sometimes, everyone does. Why should we pretend to be happy anyway, just to make other people not worry about us? Try not to pretend you are doing ok when maybe you aren't, true friends and family should stick by you through anything, and if some don't there are people out there who will help you without judgement, you just have to ask for help and it will find you.

I actually do that, umm my family has a very big reputation, all the rich and respected blah blah ( not trying to brag or anything) but at the end of the day I'm always sad or upset I'm not happy and everyone keeps telling me that I have a perfect life and you should be so happy and I have to plaster a fake smile on my face and fake being happy when actually I'm not, when I'm actually tearing apart inside and I've realise that it's completely OK to not be OK at times that's normal and that's what makes us basically us. Only half of the album has come out so far, but I think I can already say that this will be one my most favorite albums of all time! Every song that Maggie has released has been better than the last. I don't know how she does it.
