It's a shame they didn't use new gameplay footage for the VC and SA intros. Even the Original Xbox remaster for Vice City used new footage.

Goes to show just how much "effort" they put into this. It's like they focused on upscale textures/environmental upgrades and better lighting and called it a day. Didn't even bother to polish it

The Rockstar North part of the VC intro is forever my favorite arcade tune
They should've also included LCS & VCS in the remastered versions since it belongs to the 3D Universe.

You know what? I’m actually genuinely grateful that Rockstar didn’t change anything in the Intros...
It would serve as a Memorable Reminder to how the Games Originally looked like so we won’t be able to forget them through time when we play the Remastered Trilogy, and might even take the opportunities to even compare them for fun. The Original Classic looks of the Trilogy is still there to remind us of the *REAL* GTA Trilogy which will forever have a place in our Hearts and in our Memories. I might be wrong, but there’s a REASON why Rockstar didn’t change anything, but still made a bit of enhancement on the Intros to represent the Remastered Appearance of the Games.
Stop making excuses for them, they were too lazy to change it

Just in case most people misunderstood me, in short, i’m just glad they didn’t change anything on the intros, at least that’ll remind people that the old gta trilogy, will always be gold. I’ve already seen how much people have lost hope and faith from Rockstar for what they’ve become over the years, and i already have too, to the point that i only wanted to at least appreciate even just a little bit of Rockstar’s Release of the GTA Trilogy Remaster, even just the intros that they didn’t even bother to remaster with the gameplay footage from the remastered gta trilogy. If what I said is absolute bullshit and offends people, feel free to hate me, but you guys are only antagonizing someone who’s already on your side, with those fans who fell into despair and lost faith for Rockstar too... *making excuses?* i’m not a dumb naive toxic rich kid with a horrible mic who’s been playing GTA V for the past 8 years and still haven’t been aware that Rockstar has been milking GTA V to feel the Pleasure of getting those sweet sweet money and have done nothing but do the same thing with their fat lazy ass over the past 8 years... that’s why i was at least happy ’cause for once, rockstar actually tried to do something different, and actually did it even if it still had flaws, and bugs. The GTA Trilogy Remastered is the only thing we got and we have right now after 8 years of no new content from Rockstar’s lazy ass, the least thing I can do to cure my immeasurable disappointment and despair from Rockstar, is to appreciate it and have no expectations from the first place ‘cause there’s nothing else we can do to convince rockstar to start listening to their loyal fans who are losing hope and give us gta vi who might haven’t even started it’s development yet.

Yeah, but apparently after GTA 4 they gave up those balls and stuck with the same game for 7 years, then proceeded to hand the best 3 games in the franchise to a mobile game company (That also made the 2nd version of SA, the first ‘mobile’ version that was literally PORTED OVER with the mobile touchscreen controls still in the code) and allowed those 3 games to be heavily violated and destroyed, and got backed up but fans and made bs apologies to try and cover their ass

Kind of ironic that Video killed the radio star is still on the intro at 2:11 but not on the radio stations in game as rockstar couldn't be bothered paying for the licence.

I’m only 20 minutes in and I’ve found so many problems with this game. No gas pumps at the gas station. The music in Salvatore house stops playing after 2 seconds and it rains inside the house . And many more. He doesn’t look down at dead bodies, he doesn’t look back at prostitutes walking by him. He doesn’t flip off cars honking at him or when people walk into him. the camera doesn’t follow behind you so you have to constantly move it yourself. He doesn’t turn his head when you look behind you and there’s no way to look around in first person like the original which would have been cool to have for making screenshots

For everyone complaining in how they didn't use new gameplay to remaster the intros as well, Rockstar probably did it on purpose to bring back that nostalgic feeling at the same time we have a little reminder on how the old graphics looked like so then we start playing and they improved a lot
I don't think that's the case tbh. The same impact would have happened if they used new footage. The old intros mixed with the new gameplay would have showed how these truly are definitive, outshining all others before it. Using the old footage doesn't represent the new gameplay. I think the reason was also because they were mp4s and the original project files were possibly long-gone so they thought that they'd just upscale the video
I highly doubt it was for fan service considering that it has been hinted the reason this trilogy was made was only for financial reasons caused by the GTA V Expanded & Enhanced delay.

@@namedclaiming821 I don't have any issue with the original footage upscaled for the intros, but Rockstar didn't do these remasters. War Drum studios aka Grove Street Games did.
The lack of new gameplay capture in these titles is editorially poor. And here's another thing, WHY oh WHY are the San Andreas menu sound fx being used in GTA III and Vice City's menus? Get - a grip Grove Street Games / R*! It's just sloppy decision making. GTA IV had the best menu sound fx imo and if that gets a remaster some day I would be fuming if they were changed!
