Maddy spot on regarding Ambiente Friendly jockey change
YES ITS A NO HOPER NOW, I, M AFRAID
its gone from the horse everyone would love to see win to the horse no one wants it to win
i will take "voyage" if he runs, around 33/1 with hills
If you don't have your horses cherry ripe for classics you ain't going to be winning too many of them. Some of O'Brien's talk recently has been quite baffling.
Are we to believe he has been using the guineas as prep runs for what is to come later in the season? That's pretty much what he is saying thus far and as we know it's classics that matter to "the lads". Breeders Cups, Dubai and Hong Kong are nice but they really aren't that important in the grand scheme of things.
i thought that...classics are everything
Absolutely, I find the excuse for O'Brien's horse not being "cherry ripe" a little hard to take, considering that these races have always been there at those times of the year, the season still basically ends at the Breeders Cup and restarts afterwards, these hongkong and Dubai aren't as important to breeders as the European races.
@@nightowl7459 who do you fancy for the derby??
@@Pmrace1960 I'm torn between Ambiente Friendly and Los Angeles, maybe Ancient Wisdom would be a consolation if it came up on the soft side? But there's no stand out fancy.
@@nightowl7459 i backed AF at lingfield so i like the horse but dont like the jockey change.....i am actually hoping the 2nd in that runs but it doesnt look likely...........i dont like the 2 shortest prices of aidans........i liked ancient wisdom but missed the 14s so i would hate to back at 5 or 6\1
Speaking from a personal point of view, Sunday evening racing was a step too far .even punters need a rest from looking at races .
Why are there so many ads during this show? Also, I like DJ, but could he please pronounce "Derby" properly? It's pronounced "Darby", not "Derbee".
How many times do we need to shout this out - there is too much racing!!!!!!
too much bad racing
Agree but we all know the BHA haven’t a clue .
Too many group races also
Jonathan Harding is too posh for this world, he should be standing as a conservative in July
It's not broken, so why try to fix it ..especially the derby n oaks ,
What excitement ?
Its just a fact the classics are nowhere near as important these days. Thats actually good as more horses running later in season and as older horses. They will go on tv saying otherwise but fact remains look at stud fees. Long gone are the days when won the Derby and be worth too much. Winning Top all aged 8-10f races now thats what instantly makes a stallion. Sad in a way for Derbies etc but they are restricted 3yold races that are often quite poor.
Even had a 7 YEAR OLD Epsom Derby Winner running last weekend in Australia and by the way he is now a GELDING
Serpentine.
anthoney van dyck and wings of eagles were poor derby winners in the last 10 years
but i agree serpentine was poor
Excitement for what? It's a terrible Derby. I can't honestly remember a time when Flat racing was as bad as this
I'm not sure yet if it will work out as bad as the 2020 Derby which to me was the worst. It's unfortunate that some promising horses won't be taking part for various reasons.
@@colinanderson7384 they have gelded the winner which probably proves your point
don't watch then
Is it a terrible derby? The race comes so early in the calendar that I think it's difficult to call it already a terrible race. The future really decides that question.
Sad to see the demise of the Derby .
Do you people never leave your bubble. Pay at the gate and speak to punters. The ones that are proper racegoers. They are killing racing and you are all complicit. We'll give this a try and that a try when the answers are blindingly obvious.
