I lost my wife , 66 years old last week. We have been married since 1989. I sat in the hospital with her 12 hours a day for almost two weeks. Toward the end she started hallucinating, contracted a condition DIC where the body clots and bleeds, watched her body core temp drop to hypothermia , I looked at my daughter as she wept and told her, I'm sorry it's time honey, turned to the Doctor with a nod, he replied you are so right Sir we are doing her more harm than good. So proud of my daughter as I told her this is the hardest thing in her life she will have to endure, all else will be fine. We have yet to find out what caused her illness as she was fine prior to all of this. While taking care of matters this week I was reminded how all of our gained material wealth that we work so hard for has no value what so ever, only the time you spend with loved one's is the upmost importance as one day we all will take our turn for that "cycle of life." Her date of birth December 25, 1956 ❤️ 😥
@@Metamorphica2 I cannot recall how many times that question was asked of me, yes she had all the covid vaccinations, Transported to the number one hospital in California, top rated ICU in the Nation, Cedars and as a teaching hospital seen by over 50 physicians. A professor even asked permission to write full literature on her case for his lectures. Something was breaking down her muscle tissue which is very toxic to the liver and kidneys. All I could do was hold her hand and let her know how much she was loved and so sorry. Hoping her autopsy will reveal the cause. When did we get old?
I’m a 74 year old lady and I get irritated when someone reminds me that I’m old. I feel 40. My body sometimes reminds me I’m not. I’ll live to 100. I’ve always felt that way. I’m super active, still lifting 50# bags of horse feed with a bad back. I’m building and filling garden beds, and about to build a house, my 3rd. I think that staying off the couch, staying active, and eating properly keeps me young, and NEVER letting someone else tell me what I can’t do.
I'm 45 yrs old, I sit here listening to this and reading all of my elders posts. I respect the hell out of all of you! The hardest workers, most responsible and dedicated humans that exist. I'm younger but I have an old soul. My heart goes out to you all.
Someone said, "We blinked and we are here. We are old. It goes that fast." For all of you young folks out there, if the good Lord lets you live to an "old" age, take note. Life goes by very fast. You probably don't give it even a second's worth of thought as you go about your busy days, but you will be here before you know it. Slow down, cherish every breath you have been given, get off of your phone for a few minutes, and just enjoy being alive. And even more important, get to know Jesus as your personal Lord and savior. Without Him, all else is worthless.
i knew at 15 there wasn't enough time and raced thru time, crammed more than most into its preciousness and now i'm 80, grateful yet hungry, just so much to this life worth the adventure. even going for it isn't enough. defeat and victory grow the same. its in the doing that matters, bumps wake up calls to a calling . . . there's more.
I just turned 78 last April. I thought I was "Forever Young". Worked out at the gym. Did weight training. Ate healthy, took my vitamins. No liquor, no drugs. Lived a pretty clean life. Loved the same person for 40 years until they passed away in 2017. How did I get to where I am ? The one thing that has made me old is being alone. Society is pretty sickening right now. All the things I fought for my whole life seems to be slowly taken away. It's almost all behind me now and in a way, I'm glad. One day soon, I'll be free........
Thank you for sharing. Please read the gospel of John and Romans and ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you. Eternity is certain. For proof google the latest evidence on the Shroud of Turin and the chariot wheels filmed in the Red Sea. Signs and wonders that were promised by God to the end times generation . In regards to society read 2nd Timothy 3: 1-4 or just google it if you don't have a Bible. God bless and keep you.
Sounds like you’ve made a good fist of growing old if you ask me and younger people (60,s) can learn from someone like you so share your knowledge - I’m sure there’s more life in that old dog yet - take care my friend and stay safe !
Cry out to the Savior cause you’re close to the point of no return. Jesus is real and His word tells us what we need to do before we take our last breath. Jesus has changed me inside and out so I know He is real and alive in 2023.
Yes one day we all will but you could feel real proud of how much you have accomplished and made a difference in this world you are a very unique human being no one else can take that from you bless you!! Just so,you know l believe that all,of us in the 70+ group tend to,feel hurt and forgotten and yes we have been in many different ways but hell am going out by having the time of my life and I don’t give a stuff about this age anymore but until l found this wonderful site l smiled and thought I DONT FEEL ALONE ANYMORE ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I guess I remember more than most I remember Vietnam. Nixon, Reagan. Bush and 911. Anthrax in the mail. And now Trump and his attack on our capital and constitution, we have lived thur some bull shitt. I'm mid 60s and I never expected a past president to say he wants to be a dictator and remove our constitution, Trump has set a new low and the Republicans think that's a good deal , just remember that the 14th amendment section three disqualifies Trump and Republicans involved in the insurrection from holding office.
I’m 80. Retired. Bored stiff. An old friend called me and offered me a job. My own hours. I sell something I get paid a commission. This is the best Christmas ever. Thank you Lord!!
Amen 🙌🏻 🎼 When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there When the roll, is called up yonder When the roll, is called up yonder When the roll, is called up yonder When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there 🎼
I once had a boss who could have easily retired comfortably, but he still drove 40 miles to work 6 days a week. One day I asked him why he didn't retire, & he said something that's stuck with me to this day. He said John, "you need a reason to get up in the morning". In other words, staying busy doing what you love is the key to a long life. I "retired" from the outdoor power equipment industry at age 62, & started a auto detailing business 15 years ago. I'm 76 now, and still work 6 days a week at my own pace doing what I love. Yeah, I have my share of aches & pains, but I have never been happier. I always say, I'd rather wear out than rust out! I encourage anyone our age who is feeling down on themselves, to do some soul searching, find that thing you love to do, turn off the TV & get the hell off the couch! Find a hobby, volunteer, mentor young people, make things, repair things! That is my prayer for you 🙏
Good advice. Love the phrase, I'd rather wear out than rust out😊. My mother Iived to be 87 and eventually wore herself out, got Alzheimer and dementia, but still remembered me, thank God.
I agree. I was a jogger until this morning, and realized with a tear in my heel, i have to return to fast walking, which I resisted for the last 3 months, The pain levels were too much to bear. I am 66 years young, i always told myself, and the truth is, never stop working. There must be a purpose to wake up every morning, mine was to go for a jog for 10 kilo each morning, it keeps me alive. Keeps the depressing away, because one is not so busy with the mind anymore, that is still dangerous for me. Too much time to think, too much time to feel lonely and too much time to feel the pain of losing so much in my life. So i keep myself busy and healthy by being active as much as possible, There is nothing like nature to draw nearer to the Lord. But if one has the opportunity to continue to work as long as possible, one must grab it and hold on to that, otherwise you grow old much too quickly.
I’m 74, my husband 76. We started “going steady” at 15 & 17. Just recently we realized we are at the end. It’s a very sobering thought. Sooner or later, every human being will have this realization. Memories are made when you aren’t even aware. Enjoy life, and as they say… don’t sweat the small stuff!
I hear that, cindy. I keep planning for next year, and assume there will be more of them. I try to picture my life alone here, and it's a bit daunting, then I try to picture HIS life alone here, and that's equally daunting. I'd much rather be the last one standing, for whatever it's worth. Not that we have much say in the matter =)
We are almost the same my wife is 75 I am 76 Married December 21st 1966, My wife was still in high school I was on 2 wk leave after basic had to go back Jan 1st . Christmas is still a big happy time for us. We did not have a wedding just our friends and immediate family being our friends and family the feelings we had at that time get repeated every Christmas season, my wife would not have it any other way. Everyone thought we made a mistake , glad they were wrong. We are at the end too but death won't happen in our lifetime so why worry.
So sad about you losing your longtime friend and husband. I married my high school sweetheart. We eloped and married at age 19 and 17 in 1975. Still together and had 3 children and 6 grandchildren. We can’t take anything for granted as we never know when the Lord will take us home . God bless you Cindy ❤
@@user-rh7uk9uv2h You will know that you are old when your friends start dying all around you. I know this to be true as I have lost 6 very close friends in the last3 years. Voids in your life that cant be filled.
Dam straight you young men and women before you know it your gonna blink and this song will hit you like a sledgehammer! Thanks for the great song boys you helped me go back in time and back again. I’m 61 and can’t believe it …. Time caught me but this song says it all thank you!
At 73 years old, I am one year into a two-year cancer treatment plan, just had my fourth mini stroke in the past twenty years and was just diagnosed with an aneurysm. Having already lived longer than I thought I would, THIS SONG WILL KEEP ME GOING! Thank You!
please keep going ,my dad had an aneurysm, cancer ,bypasses, bleeding in the kidneys. He was in hospital for over three months this year they called code blue on him over three times and he is still here. Never give up. thinking of you and wishing you all the best.
I'm 70 years old and my grandparents pretty much raised me. This life ain't easy you've got to come out fight'n and go out fight'n. The Lord never promised us a rose garden down here but He did promise we could be with Him up there. Just make sure when your time comes you accepted Jesus and been born again.
Fantastic song. I am still going at 68. Had my share of health issues and surgeries. Joined a retirement group from my former employer. On Facebook . It’s been there for a couple years now. And got to seeing who’s passed on and who’s still around. You bet I think I started to age. 8 has left the past couple of weeks. Thanks for the song it’s a good one
SO true, I was strong, young full of piss and vinegar, then I awake at 60+. Albeit I found love, God, children, and grandchildren, I have found the key in keeping the demons at bay and there is peace. May you all be blessed.
I'm a girl that just celebrated my 77 birthday. The exterior may show some wear and tear the chassis is a bit run down, but the engine is still running and humming right along and for that, I am more than grateful. Kindness, the best medicine.💞💞💞
I recently almost lost my husband. Married 36 years. Together 39. As I was following the paramedics to the hospital I thought, this is how it happens. This is when I become a widow. In the ER watching the staff cut his clothes off and trying to save his life was a surreal experience. The physician said he had a few hours left at the time I called 911. His illness came on quickly and was out of the blue. He survived. I am grateful of course. But it was a wake up call. That we are at the end of life and need to prepare. We’ve started getting rid of the belongings we’ve lovingly collected. Things that hold memories. But it must be done as we have no children and I don’t want strangers sorting through our things. The end of life is strange. Very strange. Be grateful folks, for every minute. Make as many beautiful memories as you can. Have fun. Get outside and breath the air. Take in nature. Move about while your body lets you. Because it was yesterday it seemed that I was a young girl who met a young man. We blinked and we are here. We are old. It goes that fast.
I wouldn’t give up getting old for anything. Youth was very very hard for me, but now I know and follow Jesus! It’s the best life , going through pain or not, knowing Jesus is highly recommended!
AMEN!!! I just met Jesus 6 years ago at the age of 61 and I feel like I just started living every since!!! He has literally made me a new creation and I will live every last day I have thanking Him and praising Him in anticipation of meeting Him face-to-face one day! I pray for anyone that doesn’t know Him that they will get to know Him & rock their world! In Jesus name I pray. Amen. 💜🙏🏻✝️
Serving my savior Jesus gives this gettin’ old thing purpose here on earth while I look forward to my new body in Heaven!❤ No pain and no sorrow, Amen!
This life will end for us all one day but there is a better life to come which will never end and is promise by Jesus Christ, “He who believes in me shall have everlasting life..I am the Resurrection.”
I'm 76. My husband died last July. I've decided no more grieving. I don't want to live in the past. I don't know what my destination is, but the journey is always exciting! Just being alive is exciting!!❤😊
I'm 82 and still looking forward to each day until there is not another. I've had a very happy life and thankful. Looking forward to next day as the page turns.
I am very sorry to read you lost someone so dear to you. It may sound trite since it's said so often by people that don't know either of you but "he would have wanted you to move on and be happy." My father often said two things about this phase of life. He spoke Greek so the rough translation into English of the first is "give flowers to the living, the dead don't need them." His meaning was don't wait until someone dies to heap flowers on their grave showing how much you loved them. Once they are gone, they are gone. Show them that you love them while they are alive since they won't see or smell those ephemeral flowers on their grave. The other thing he very often said was "life is for the living." It has two meanings, really, but it boils down to "while you are alive, you should live!" Don't sit around waiting to die or wallowing around in grief or self pity. Live! Life is a precious gift, use it!
Anyone the wrong side of 50 can relate to this song. Growing old is hard to accept but what choice do we have? Be kind to yourself, age gracefully. And maybe, just maybe you can die with some dignity.
'wrong side of 50'? Plenty don't ever get close..tomorrow is not promised. Everyday above ground is a good one. How old would you be if you didn't know the day you were born? 60 hurts more but I am here and I show up everyday! Make it count.
Growing old is not for amateurs. Never ever regret getting old because it is a privilege that has been denied to many. Any morning you wake up, it is a pretty good start.
My granny always said "It's a good day when you wake up." I am almost 62 and I think of her saying that in my mind every day ~~ and I laugh! O my, it feels so good to laugh. Even on the worst of days, try to belt one out. If you have to .."fake it til you make it" ! Ah! Another quote, with another story ~ for another day
I’ll be 70 in October! Man, this song hits home. It’s funny how things that bothered me in the past aren’t even in my thoughts anymore. Fuck it, I’m going to live what years I have left doing everything I can to live the rest of my life the way I want! To any youngsters reading this, believe me, life passes by at a high rate of speed! Be kind and enjoy every day you have! 😉🎸
I am 82 and still can't say for sure when I grew old, still going, doing the things I love to do, mostly good hard work is what I still enjoy, I miss the days gone by as they were much better times than now, grew up in the 40s and 50s those were good days to be young
Being alone in life , for 12 years, without my husband of 47 years is what has made me feel older!! Without the good Lords provision and protection I would not have been able to keep going!! I am blessed with many happy memories , And with God's blessings I continue on lifes pathway.
Hey Rattler! You ain’t old! You’re just getting warmed up! I’d like to tell you how much I appreciate you and our other fellow patriots for your special military service. Men in my family were Army, Navy and Air Force and I understand (somewhat) separation from your family and friends. I hope life always treats you kindly! Thank you for keeping them folks in Nam busy! e.conboy
From 50 on , life speeds up! Know, that, as you bury your parents, that you are the NEXT GENERATION ! While young & healthy live life fully, joyfully & gratefully ! EVERY DAY FROM BIRTH, IS A GIFT! Save tears for children list in childhood, or for parents who don’t get to see their children reach adulthood ! I’m 75, in terrible health, & I wake up thankful every day that I’m still here to watch my grandchildren’s milestones !😊 Hauser, Leonard Cohen, & ballet on CZcams just round out my beautiful end of life times! ❤️🔥❤️
Listening to this on Remembrance Day. Remembering those who have fought for our countries, and didn't have the opportunity to grow old. Let's count our blessings. Lest we forget 🔥
I have been a saved born again Christian for 49 years and am 68 years old. I've had my share of ups and downs...but for the grace of God and Him getting me through hard times I would have fallen into deep despair. And the best is yet to come when I leave this earth and go to my heavenly home...that I know is really what life is all about. 🌹
Born Again since 1976. A long time now. I was a drunk but free from that moment on. Best thing that has ever happened to anyone. Trust Jesus time must be short now.
Yes we do get old and death is the only thing that a single person cannot change. No matter the amount of money. But family and children and grandchildren are your true riches in life.
Thankful i realized at 63 i can get a new start in life. Watching the Lord turn back the clock to renew my health and restore my youth. God is truly good.
I realized at 58 the office walls were "closing in". I retired (2019) & now spend most of my time alone at my rural family home place (still keeping my apt in the city). I call this change -- my second chance at life. I'm grateful I've had a lot of new experiences. The wonderment & work of country life has kept me physically young & young at heart. But country life is hard. There's no Kroger just around the corner and people are kind but not too welcoming into social circles. I'm leaning towards accepting I'm a converted city girl and am ready to return "home" (city). Simply hate to give up something I started.
I could use that same age, this year has been taking a huge toll on my teeth, my skin, everything. I'm active, I eat, lots of spring water, vitamins?? I think the emotional toll has a physical effect.....
I'm 76 and finally feel old. Even with the aches and pains still happy to see all my 11 great grandkids. It's a good life. Still with my wife of 55 yrs.
" WOW " THIS SONG HIT ME RIGHT BETWEEN MY HEART BECAUSE EVERY WORD IS SO TRUE. I LIVE AND ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERYDAY UNTIL THE VERY LAST DAY THAT I HAVE ON THIS EARTH. ( NEVER GIVE UP )
Just turned eighty, am more thankful now about my life than I have ever been, feel good (almost better than before), I give thanks daily for a good life, amen:)
I used to take my elderly mom to her doctor appointments. At one appointment- she jumped up onto the examination table she told the nurse "you know I never felt old until I turned 91" 🤯❤️ Bless her heart-she MEANT IT!! I'm turning 72 this month and I have wondered these same thoughts in this song, as my health declined. I keep her words in my heart and try to stay positive, but this song speaks to me and ABOUT ME. Thanks for a song many of us can relate to!! 👍🏼
At 74, my health started to be an issue. Breast cancer, Covid, Trimalleolar Ankle Fracture needing two surgeries, C Dif, and now a hand problem that has extended to my shoulder, yet to be diagnosed correctly at 78. Depression and anxiety over a moving added to the mix. Life is no longer fun or satisfying with my 59 year marriage.
I'm 65 we're did it all go, I have Jesus ,l have always had Jesus. My brothers and sisters have nothing to do with me , it's ok they don't have Jesus in there life , l forgive l forget . But I'm still there sister. I love this song because they are getting older ,they better forgive and forget .Get Jesus in there life . Help them God before it's to late.
Amen....my husband passed suddenly May 18th,2021 from an aneurysm and our adult children turned their backs on us during Covid because we wouldn't take the vaccines. I have God in my heart and life. I forgive them and I have left it in God's hands now
I’m 81. I look in the mirror and wonder how getting old happened so quickly. Then I remember all those my age and younger who are no longer here on earth. Aging is a gift of every day we are given. If we are relatively healthy, it’s another gift. Live, be happy, be as active as you can because we don’t know what tomorrow might bring.
Will turn 71 in a few days, I am blessed beyond measure, still working the same job for 27 years. I thank the Lord every day for ever step, breath and the strength he gives me to get through each day. I am the oldest of 6 lost 2 brothers in 2 years always through I should be the first to go but it's all about God's plan. Always think of this verse in the Bible, I will look until the hills from wench cometh my help,my help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Have you looked into Stockholm Syndrome? It sounds like an abusive relationship with a manipulative father figure. There is help available to escape the clutches of organised religion misrepresenting fear as love. I hope you find your way out.
Went to bed then got up listening to this song, It don't seem that long between yesterday & today! At 73, my body hears you friend!! Thank you Lord for bringing me this far, when i could have been taken out so many times before!
79 years old! I matured in the 60’s & the 70’s but the greatest times were the 80’s & the early 90’s. I was 10’ tall, everyone knew my name. I just need some help figuring out When I Grew Old! I love this song!!
Just found your song and love it. That line about pain, yes I have physical pain. But the worst pain comes when someone (many someone's) are gone and I still remain.
So true, especially when the ones who are gone were gone way too early in their life. I am not the healthiest person, and I wonder how is it that I am still here and my brothers, younger than me are not.
@@lizaC0001 I hear you. 2 of my Sister's passed away and then my hero, my big brother, died almost 2 years ago and the pain is still the same as it was the day's that they passed.
@@debbie4503 Yes Debbie, the pain just stays, and day by day we try to make the best of things. It reminds me of what Caroline Leaf, a neuroscientist said, that we never get over the loss of loved ones, we just get through it. Saturdays are difficult as the radio plays all the eighties music, and my mind is with my brothers. I often cry, it helps to feel better. Best wishes to you, may the pain of heart ease a little.
When we are young, our future looks so far out, and then one day, god willing, you turn around and it seems like time passed in the blink of an eye. Life is short, enjoy it and be thankful for the blessing.
My dad just sent me this song. I know this is how all you old timers are feeling but age is just a number just keep living your best life with no regrets till the good lord takes you home. Your still young inside I know yall feel it. The younger ones love you and look to you for guidance just remember even if we don't show it we still need you
Love this song,I'm an almost 89 yrs old woman, wondering why I'm still here Fair health and of course my family wants me here forever, they say.bless their hearts ❤
My grandmother was 97 when she passed and always asked that question. I told her God wasn't done with her yet. Someone else needed her smile, her hug, a kind word from her, her sound advice, her humor. She was such a sweet lady. So God isn't done with you yet. You have things to offer that others need! ❤
I'm old, but I'm more at piece than any time in my life. I'm 75 and I remember one of my HS friends died in a car crash two weeks after graduation and another died in Vietnam. They didn't get a chance to get old.
Great song ...I turned 74 this year...my body is falling apart......I played music (drums) most of my life.....That keeps me young..... This song hits home....Well written Derrick
I just heard this for the first time and it really sums up how I've been feeling lately. I'm 62 years old. I know my best years are behind me. Time is more precious than ever.
I'm 62 in 3 weeks, worked hard all my life, she 56 knee replacement then March 2020 got told I've got multiple sclerosis progressive, now totally disabled. This has hit me hard, listening to this song. God bless us all I say. Your 21 then before we know ot God now 62.
I'm 68. I nearly died last winter from Covid. But thank God, he kept me here a little longer. When you wake up every morning, thank God your feet can reach the floor and your seeing another day. Without God, we're nothing. Enjoy the rest of your life, enjoy everyday as if it is your last, and love your family every minute of the day! Good luck everyone and God Bless you!
71 years old and survived 2 strokes 2 heart attacks and 2 deaths in my immediate family..my 38 year old daughter and my husband of 46 years within a year of each other. Also had surgery to remove a tumor and my son moved me so I could be closer to him...I guess for my health emergencies. I am alone with my elderly dog now and this song surely says it all for me.
I will turn 71 next month. I just started a sesonal retail job. Being around young people has definitely helped me mentally not feel my age. However, when I get home from work , my legs and back bring me back to reality. This song is great, as is the performance.
So relatable. Our culture glorifies the young and healthy. As we age and our bodies break down, we disappear in our culture. 😢 We're ignored, de-valued and forgotten, mostly covertly. Very unhealthy for a society to thrive. It's a a sad, sad situation. Tx for this song good sir! 🙏🏼 🇺🇸 ♥️
Oh men! oh men !what a song !👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻we all get old but never loose that Kid inside of you . I sure didn’t have lost the kid inside of me . I am 57 . This Song should be in the country charts👏🏻👏🏻
I am 88 .Blessed with reasonably good health. Love this song. Although I am female I can relate. I.have not grown old gracefully, but grudgingly. This song helps me to appreciate my situation and change to a more positive attitude 😊😊😊
I've listened to this song tonight over and over, about 4 times. Reading the precious comments that others have shared here, crying my eyes out! Yet I am realizing how important it is to finish this race, even if we're walking or crawling to the finish line. I know Jesus also knows pain and suffering, and I find comfort and peace in reading psalms in the Bible and pray now for each one here who is going through really hard times. ❤️
Stumbled across this video tonight and love the music. I'm younger than some of these commenters (41) but still wonder when I got old, especially hearing songs I remember from when I was in high school on the "classic hits" station
Our life’s flash before us before we know it, one minute we’re 21 an can’t wait to get there and then the years just fly by, an when you start losing people close to you it really hits home what growing up an getting old is
I turn 60 next year and feel this song to the bones. I’m wondering after all these years about when exactly did I get old. It’s surreal. This is a fantastic song and lyrics. Good work, Derrick Dove and the Peacekeepers!
Thank you Lord, sllowing me to get old..older each beauty day. Dang! After singing along last night with this video before going to bed, I was singing it in my sleep all night, woke up with it on my lips ... I've just turned 83!
Lordy buds, you sure hit the mark. I'm a widow, my parents are gone, my sister is gone. My friends moved away and for 15 years I left my roots to start a new life. That is until hubby died. I'm 74 and still kicking back on the losses. I have taught myself new skills. But it sure gets lonely. This is a amazing song.

You are so right. I'm sorr for yalls loss.
At 80 years old, I’m still waiting for “old” to hit me. Yes, I’m slower but 29 inside my mind.
Old age is that special territory that many do not get to experience. I feel like you, still young in my heart. Bless you.
Awesomeness ❤
That's wut I worry about. My memory slipping. It started happening after a car crash. Physically and mentally hard on me. But I prevail! God is good
❤⚘👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I'm 45 yrs old, I sit here listening to this and reading all of my elders posts. I respect the hell out of all of you! The hardest workers, most responsible and dedicated humans that exist. I'm younger but I have an old soul. My heart goes out to you all.
You sir are the most respectful person I’ve seen on CZcams. This whole comment section is great.
I'm 47 and feel the same way.
Sometimes you feel old even in your twenties,to some extent its a state of mind
I hear ya…when did I get old?
Thank you young man, what we need are more young people like yourself! God bless you
Someone said, "We blinked and we are here.
Man…did you get it right….can remember years ago like it was yesterday to some extent, but the key will be if Christ judge us to be in His paradise.
Amen
i knew at 15 there wasn't enough time and raced thru time, crammed more than most into its preciousness and now i'm 80, grateful yet hungry, just so much to this life worth the adventure. even going for it isn't enough. defeat and victory grow the same.
its in the doing that matters, bumps wake up calls to a calling . . . there's more.
I am 80 yrs and I tell that phrase blink and you’ll be my age to my 30 yr old kids
Things seem bad but other's have it worse, go help someone who needs it
Cry out to the Savior cause you’re close to the point of no return.
At 64, I miss my younger days because this world today is not what I grew up in. Problems, yes but nothing like today.
You are so right I'm the same age as you 64
I hear you. It all changed .... Unfortunately not for the better
Amen I’m 64 also and I don’t know how to live in this world anymore
I will be 64 in a few short months. Your comment is so true. Life was not perfect when we were growing up but the world today is horrendous
Keep push'n and stay strong!
Congratulations on your new job!
I love this for you 💜
Keep on brother 💪
U Go Dan ,👍
Believe in Jesus. My husband's Heavenly Birthday is tomorrow, would be 71. Five years of missing him but know I will see him again because of Jesus!

🎼 When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there
When the roll, is called up yonder
When the roll, is called up yonder
When the roll, is called up yonder
When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there 🎼
I once had a boss who could have easily retired comfortably, but he still drove 40 miles to work 6 days a week.
That is my prayer for you 🙏
great advise, we need to find our "Reason For Being"💞
Good advice. Love the phrase, I'd rather wear out than rust out😊. My mother Iived to be 87 and eventually wore herself out, got Alzheimer and dementia, but still remembered me, thank God.
Very very true

❤

I'm 70 years old and my grandparents pretty much raised me. This life ain't easy you've got to come out fight'n and go out fight'n. The Lord never promised us a rose garden down here but He did promise we could be with Him up there. Just make sure when your time comes you accepted Jesus and been born again.
I totally understand!
We are not old, we are older than some,
Younger than others
We are grateful for each day we awake and see the sun ☀️!!
Yes grateful...grateful, indeed!

I'm a girl that just celebrated my 77 birthday. The exterior may show some wear and tear the chassis is a bit run down, but the engine is still running and humming right along and for that, I am more than grateful. Kindness, the best medicine.💞💞💞

I'm a 75 year old boy and you just turned me on!!!
Happy Birthday! 🎂
It's weird being the same age as old people.
lol...:) It is.
But your heart will stay young p.s. on the inside .
I wouldn’t give up getting old for anything. Youth was very very hard for me, but now I know and follow Jesus! It’s the best life , going through pain or not, knowing Jesus is highly recommended!
We must have walked in the same boots. I can completely relate.
Only through Christ does any of this begin to make any sense.
AMEN!!! I just met Jesus 6 years ago at the age of 61 and I feel like I just started living every since!!! He has literally made me a new creation and I will live every last day I have thanking Him and praising Him in anticipation of meeting Him face-to-face one day! I'm 76. My husband died last July. I've decided no more grieving. I don't want to live in the past. I don't know what my destination is, but the journey is always exciting! Just being alive is exciting!!❤😊
My husband passed away in January of 2022 and he would have wanted me to have a good life without him
I'm 82 and still looking forward to each day until there is not another. I've had a very happy life and thankful. Looking forward to next day as the page turns.
Yes!!!🙏❤️🔥🙏
So very true! 😊
You speak the absolute truth my friend.
50. Get a grip.
'wrong side of 50'?
Plenty don't ever get close..tomorrow is not promised. Everyday above ground is a good one.
How old would you be if you didn't know the day you were born?
60 hurts more but I am here and I show up everyday!
Make it count.
Amen..
Growing old is not for amateurs. Never ever regret getting old because it is a privilege that has been denied to many. Any morning you wake up, it is a pretty good start.
This is one of those songs that just is right on... So authentic
I said almost the same thing you did!
My granny always said "It's a good day when you wake up." I am almost 62 and I think of her saying that in my mind every day ~~ and I laugh! O my, it feels so good to laugh. Even on the worst of days, try to belt one out. If you have to .."fake it til you make it" ! Ah! Another quote, with another story ~ for another day
Yeah, at 80 I figure that if my feet hit the floor first in the morning, it's all good.
Absolutely I lost my big sister in 1996 she was 35. And my baby brother in 2011 he was 34 😢😢😢😢😢
I’ll be 70 in October! 😉🎸
I woke up one morning and I was old. Turned 80.
My grandmother was 97 whenever passed. My 2nd mom is always saying she is old. She just turned 82. I told her she can't say she's old till she's 97! 😊
My daddy (rest his soul) used to say an old man wants only one thing. That's the chance to do it all over again. Man, aint it the truth!
and know what I know now!
I’m 70 years old I’m blessed God let me live this long.old age is not for sissies God bless you all.we might be old but we still rock
At 81 years old I can relate totally to this song. Don’t let the old man in!
Good song..if your young and reading this enjoy being young
As my 92 year old husband says getting old isnt so bad when you consider the alternative
😅❤
I am 82 and still can't say for sure when I grew old, still going, doing the things I love to do, mostly good hard work is what I still enjoy, I miss the days gone by as they were much better times than now, grew up in the 40s and 50s those were good days to be young
Being alone in life , for 12 years, without my husband of 47 years is what has made me feel older!! Without the good Lords provision and protection I would not have been able to keep going!! I am blessed with many happy memories , And with God's blessings I continue on lifes pathway.

At one appointment- she jumped up onto the examination table she told the nurse "you know I never felt old until I turned 91" 🤯❤️ Bless her heart-she MEANT IT!!

The younger ones love you and look to you for guidance just remember even if we don't show it we still need you
Amen
Love this song,I'm an almost 89 yrs old woman, wondering why I'm still here Fair health and of course my family wants me here forever, they say.bless their hearts ❤
❤
You are blessed. I am 86. Youngest so left behind. Not just family but friends. But God has a reason for me to be here.
My grandmother was 97 when she passed and always asked that question. I told her God wasn't done with her yet. Someone else needed her smile, her hug, a kind word from her, her sound advice, her humor. She was such a sweet lady. So God isn't done with you yet. You have things to offer that others need! ❤
I can’t quit listening to this, should have 100 million views
🎵👍🏼♥️
It's #1 on my chart. 😍
Well, at 64 I agree. But I look forward to the day I go home to be with Jesus. 😇
61. Same.
I'm 62 in 3 weeks, worked hard all my life, she
56 knee replacement then March 2020 got told I've got multiple sclerosis progressive, now totally disabled. This has hit me hard, listening to this song. God bless us all I say. Your 21 then before we know ot God now 62.
The best is yet to come = Heaven with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior = Love ❤️ God and love 💗 everyone 😮😊❤
Me too 😊
Thank what I try to do, as soon as I sit up, i like to say, This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice AND be glad in it, friend!
I absolutely love this song! It resonates with me so much! God bless everybody getting old!
Great song, If age is a state of mind I must be 900 years old.
This song hits home for all of us on life’s off-ramp.
Life's off ramp .I got to remember that 😅
"Life's off ramp." ❤
Now there's a song..."Life's off-ramp". Too late for u-turns.
True
At 81, I agree
I will turn 71 next month. I just started a sesonal retail job. Being around young people has definitely helped me mentally not feel my age. However, when I get home from work , my legs and back bring me back to reality. This song is great, as is the performance.
Be graceful everyday you feel those legs because of using them! Good sign 🤗
I'll be 71 on Thanksgiving. All I do is work on my old pickup and motorcycle if and when I feel like it. I have surely slowed down.
Yes being around the young and not stagnate your brain helps to keep you young!
Amen! My spirit tells me that I am 20, but my body feels like 120. I don't remember when I crossed that line.
DAMN! This song hit me to the very fiber of my being. And it hurts, it hurts, it hurts.💔
I was born in 1950 - the changes in this world are amazing. But I would have those simpler times back. 🎉
"I was so much older then, I'm younger then, than now" Great song
I was recently diagnosed with early onset dementia. This song really says it all...❤
prayers
❤❤❤❤❤
🙏
Sounds crazy BUT eat lots of mixed nuts everyday...two handfuls a day will do ( DO IT!).
Research it.
Here love 💕 to you
Oh men! oh men !what a song !👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻we all get old but never loose that Kid inside of you .
Just heard this now as well!! Stay young, stay well!! 🙃
@@francafran6565Thank you!
Ditto here. Come Lord Jesus, come.
Our body ages but our mind never seems to realize it! I understand my mom so much better now.
I don't know if this song made me more or less depressed, but as a guy feeling old, I liked it.
Stumbled across this video tonight and love the music. I'm younger than some of these commenters (41) but still wonder when I got old, especially hearing songs I remember from when I was in high school on the "classic hits" station
Our life’s flash before us before we know it, one minute we’re 21 an can’t wait to get there and then the years just fly by, an when you start losing people close to you it really hits home what growing up an getting old is
This song dropkicks you right in the feels and sucker punches you right in the reality
I am 80. This song helps because it speaks the truth. Thank you!
I turn 60 next year and feel this song to the bones. I’m wondering after all these years about when exactly did I get old. It’s surreal. This is a fantastic song and lyrics. Good work, Derrick Dove and the Peacekeepers!
Me too. I turn 60 in April 😢
Know just what he's saying. 65 in April. Thank God for memories!
Same here, 60 in April.👍Great song.

Me too! How the hell did I get here and where did it go? 59 and holding 😂

I'm 54 now, I don't Parkinson's, throat Cancer and now lung cancer I don't know where yesterday went and I'm not so sure about tomorrow,, but I'm going to be ok , this life has been amazing, but either way I have my faith my last breath here will be my first in Heaven, Thank You for the memories!

❤
❤❤ As a 52 year old Momma of 2 that had some good days and some bad and I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT I HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO STILL BE ALIVE AND HERE ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH AND THANKFUL AND BLESSED ❤️❤️🙏❤️
Dang! After singing along last night with this video before going to bed, I was singing it in my sleep all night, woke up with it on my lips ... I've just turned 83!
I blinked, and I will be turning 70 in 3 months! It comes at you fast.
And I wish you well, it's best to love. So get out there and start to kicking who's to know what may happen.
