I left home on December 2012. I was eighteen when I took that fly from Cameroon to Germany. I thought that I will be back after 2 years, but no. It took me 10 years. Only after 10 years was I able to take a fly back to my motherland, only after 10 years was I able to see my parents and grandmother again, the whole family. Everyone aged, white hair was already there for everyone to see. My grandmother wasn't even able to walk, only with great difficulty. And only after one month, I had to leave again and only God knows if I will be able to see my grandmother again. Life has so much surprise for us. Here on Germany, for 10 years, I came alone, alone I fought, I fought everything with tears and sorrow, but I survived. And today I'm back again to start another chapter of my life with all the joy and difficulties that will come. But in Jesus-Christ, I know, again I will survive and conquer.

I’m living in California with my husband and son and I have a few family members here but it’s not the same. I still went home in February but it’s not the same I miss Nigeria 🇳🇬 and all that makes it whole to me. I get sad just knowing that some people won’t be there when we eventually move back home with the kids❤️ No matter what Nigeria will ALWAYS be home to me. Friday 8 December 2006 i left enugu Nigeria heading to libya with my friend ,i did not tell my mom i was traveling. I was 18 yrs old in 2006 .That morning mom thought i was going to school but unknow to her i was traveling with my friends to Italy via Mediterranean sea i only called after 6 months when i got to Italy, when i called her to tell her i am in italy my mom fainted .i spend 15 yrs in italy i left when i was 18yrs old but came back a full grown man in my mid thirties. My mom is still alive but my dad developed a stroke .i came back with my wife and 5 yrs old son

This song is so touching and emotional, since 7yrs I left Nigeria to United State, within this time period I lost my beloved younger sister, a year after her daughter also died. I went through my own section of pain, tough time, tears, rejection, seeking for peoples help, but thanks be to God Almighty who promised never to leave me nor forsake me(Matt 28:20) helped me come out strong and still helping me never to see shame. Although I still have not gone back to visit Nigeria, I pray God help me to go see my siblings and my elder sister's husband who has been sick for over 10yrs to a point vegetable, before he pass on too.
