Dominick Reyes has HORRIBLE striking defense. It's almost like he's dumbfounded when defending against looping punches. He also gets backed up wayyyy too easily. He tries to be a counter puncher but then ends up taking just too many shots before returning anything. His cardio is a huuuuuuge problem for him and I can't see how anyone can call this guy an 'elite athlete'. He'll lose to both Jan and Rakic in embarrassing fashion unless he improves his game.

@@arifinrohan8595 Trash talking is bad enough, but when you don't know what you're talking about it's even more disrespectful. Reyes is unquestionably an elite fighter, if you knew his fights/track record you wouldn't speak so foolishly. The problem is 'elite' is not good enough anymore, in addition to being elite you have to bring animal spirits and superhuman conviction to the extent of it being a religious fervor; that is what champions are made of. Some bloody scary people in mma now.

That's the point though. Reyes fought his heart out with everything he had and.....Jiri had much much more. He wants one perfect fight and a flawless victory.

Man jiri is a problem. Hes got some tightening up to do but he almost reminds me of a striker version of khabib. Just non stop relentless, great cardio, super strong, great chin. Basically a machine. I still think jan is going to be a tough go for him. Jan has a great ability to slow the fight to his pace and land big bombs. Either way this guy is exciting and that was a crazy ass fight

Jones left the division right in time lol. The fact that he almost lost against Reyes and now Reyes gets destroyed with ease by Both Jan and Jiri says enough to me that Jones would have got beaten at light heavyweight sooner or later

Ehhh I think about half his wins are against cans or compromised opponents, the dudes ego is gona get him killed in their. He should retire, cause the ufc will keep feeding him to killers.
Edit: to be fair he has skills, and his confidence or ego whatver you wana call it has gotten him to wear he is, but his body can’t take this level of damage. He couldn’t leave the cage after his last 3 fights, 2 of which he was KOed savagely after sustaining multiple broken bones (Nose and ribs against Jan, plus nose and possibly jaw against Jiri)

He beat Jon Jones. The judges said otherwise and it mentally beat him. Then he lost to a legit champ. Then got beat by a future champ. There is no way Jiri Prochazka isn't winning a championship in the future. Reyes looked great this fight regardless.

I really enjoyed the fight, I hope Jiri learn to be more conservative and protect his face better. He ate a lot of strikes from Reyes. I don't know if he could absorb them the same if they' were Jan's. Btw, great fighter.
Reyes is a great fighter but I think he faces some problem hanging out there with crazy power punchers or Ko artists like Blachowicz and Jiri. He did a great technical battle with Jones but couldn't have the same success with Jan or Jiri, cause they came out to knock Dom with crazy knockout power.

I think Jiri would fight differently for Jan Blachowicz. When he pressures Dominick Reyes, it makes it harder for him to throw his straight left effectively. Watch Jiri vs Volkan Oezdemir, he was a lot more evasive and cautious in that fight. So Jiri would not be as reckless against Jan
