Mmmmmmmm, no. If you want very good clam chowder head to the Ferry Building and Hog Island; Boudins is standard flour thickened tourist fare. You can also get much better sourdough and other great bread at the FB at Acme, although some prefer Tartine Bakery, in The Mission. If that’s where you are then El Farolito , on Mission near 24th is one of our best super burrito (everything) places. There’s also Dandelion chocolates on 16th and Harrison, just east of the Mission. By the pound candy shops are a rip off everywhere in the world
Lived here my whole life and although San Francisco has some of the best views often accompanied by year round perfect weather, this city is a dumpster fire. Our homeless population is at its all time high. If you go downtown or the Tenderloin area, you’ll see a lot of closed businesses, blocks lined with homeless and drug addicts frozen in time from fentanyl, and drug dealers on every corner.
