Tbh I think at this point they already prepare a finale. They give characters final relationships and end their arcs solve their problems and stuff. I think at this point they are just trying to reach Season 40 and then end it.
Which is still a long time till we reach it but I think if they need to end it they would try to get to season 40 but half is already done with 35 so why not make it full

@@user-bi6vy3tr1b Oh no, you _definitely_ don't want Nancy Cartwright, or Yeardley Smith for that matter, taking over for Marge. For one, you want the voices to be able to "play" off each other; for another, you never want any one person to have too many roles... like say, Dan Castellaneta does. If anything were to ever happen to him, the show literally could not function.
Anyhow, if I had to guess, I think they'd hire Tress MacNeille, since they seem to be favoring her in Futurama and Disenchantment, and even in the Simpsons... Homer even says her name at one point. Of course that's also a point against her, she's a little too popular as a voice actress; and while her old woman voice is very iconic, it certainly isn't Marge.
I think the best bet would be to go with an unknown. Do what Frank Oz did and train an intern for years, and mix in the performances of the new one and the old one, so when they do leave no one can be sure exactly when it happened.

Though, if I had to guess, it's because Gothel is _technically_ a spoiler, so they didn't want both people who haven't seen the masterpiece that is Tangled to suspect anything.

I said they don't want to spoil the movie... and even though you literally see her kidnap Rapunzel in the beginning, you don't know that she's the "final boss" so to speak. Maybe there's a "Hans" asspull? Anyhow, to keep that underwraps, they have the characters stand next to each other, and not react.
Either that, or it was merely a mistake. Honestly, I could go either way.
