@@rippersubmissionwrestling2704 based on your username I’m guessing your a fan of grappling. People said this about Gene when he was around anyway. Don’t be naive. Noticed how similar his story is to the one of supposedly chocking out seagal? It’s the same story repurposed.
I suggest you watch the full video on my channel for context. John is saying it simply didn’t happen. There’s no need to get upset about it. Bruce learnt judo from Jesse Glover, Fred Sato, and Japanese Jujutsu long before he ever met Gene. He was always credited for something he never was, that he taught Bruce Lee grappling . He didn’t.
Easy to criticise someone who isn’t around to defend themselves? You should say that to all the people who have slandered Bruce Lee ever since c including his own supposed friends. Gene claimed Rhonda Rousey could beat Bruce Lee, do you really believe that? How do you think Bruce’s family and friends feel when they hear things like this?

If they sued everyone who told lies about Bruce they’d be bankrupt. Maybe they should have sued Tarantino for character assassination of Bruce Lee in once upon a time In Hollywood but they didn’t. The film was banned in Hong Kong though.
Family and friends know the truth and that’s all that they care about. It’s down to you to do your own research.

Why haven’t you bothered doing any other research? Why did you believe him?
Bruce knew a few judo guys when he arrived in Seattle in 1959. Judo and karate were the most popular martial arts at that time.
It’s common knowledge his first student Jesse Glover taught him judo.
But did you even know who Jesse Glover is? Maybe you knew only of Dan Inosanto? Because everybody knows him but don’t know about any other Bruce Lee students.
