Geto truly is such a well written character. I’m glad y’all pointed out the extra weight he has to endure because of his ability- and how he copes with it alone. The rise and downfall of Geto Suguru’s life is one of the best parts about Jujutsu Kaisen and it shapes the story in unique ways moving forward.
I love geto all the way up until his death. One of the greatest characters in the series
Gojo is really an amazing person. His students mean everything to him, he really became a sensei to guide the new generation to a path of light so that no one is alone again like geto, someone he couldn't save.
He really reminds me of Kakashi not just in looks
And Gojo has saved 2 people who have assimilated with evil things (yuta and yuji) against the higher-ups, contradicting the mission of saving Riko who will be assimilated by Tengen by the orders of the higher-ups.

This entire arc was amazing, Geto is fr one of the best written characters in all of Jujutsu Kaisen. He reminds me of a Shinobu Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho, they’re both great villains.
Also Toji is another great villain who really moved the plot for JJK. He’s not only Megumi’s father but he’s the main reason why Geto went downhill and why Gojo is as strong as he is currently. He literally made them switch sides.
Haven’t seen anyone make the connection between Toji doing what he did and those actions being one of the biggest reasons Jujutsu Kaisen is the way it is. Toji pretty much gave us the show lol
And toji change megumi fate cause originally he was supposed to be sold to the zennin clan at young age but basically made Gojo raise him who knows what type of character megumi be if he was raised by the clan but theirs more things that toji actions change in the story that we haven’t dived in yet I’m not gonna spoil what those things are tho

It's sad, really. A lot of people were watching these five episodes, waiting for the eventual turn and snapping of Geto through some event. But it wasn't just one event. It was a combination of different things. What happened to Riko, the trauma Toji inflicted on him, his conversation with Yuki about non-sorcerers and what their existence means to the world, the premature death of Haibara due to the inaccuracies of their mission(and how teens are losing their lives without even knowing why thanks to the higher ups), Gojo being able to take care of all of the problems and what he offered to Geto about getting rid of all of the people even if they were innocent, and the straw that broke the camels back was seeing how two innocent girls were being treated all because of who they were. We saw the story of how Geto went from a sweet boy to the Geto we saw in JJK 0. Hater of all monkeys. It truly is a tragedy. So many bad things continued to stack up and no one saw how far Geto had sunk until it was too late.

Well I mean, the thing with Haibara dying to a mission assigned out of his league could've been portrayed better, because I didn't get that AT ALL. If maybe he got mad at the seniority for how they assigned that mission & reflected on it, I'd believe that.
And what "trauma" with Toji...? He simply lost to him, I don't see how it was traumatic to him.
@@TheGloryXros Well, he thought his best friend was dead, saw the girl who they were supposed to protect shot in front of him, then because of Toji's actions had to witness people applauding for the death of an innocent girl, AND to add insult to injury, Yuki said Tengen allegedly received another vessel and stabilized in the end anyway. Which essentially made all of that suffering meaningless. She was willing to give up her life, her existence, her very being and then was given the chance to live. Only to have it snatched away. And then the choice didn't even matter anyway because she was replaced. I would say that would be very traumatic. Geto is trying to find meaning in life. And that series of events is like punch in the face with no meaning at all

Yeah, I don’t think it was even rotoscoped, just pure animation. What sucks is there’s people on tik tok that are claiming that mappa’s using AI to animate scenes, which is pretty disrespectful to the animators who are obviously working their asses off.

In JJK 0, Geto said he couldn't wear a genuine smile in this world. Now we see why.
Having the shower and the rain sound like the claps whenever Geto had the negative thoughts its just crazy. This ep reminded me of is that we never got the chance to experience Villain Geto. He had some solid motivation but we only see him in JJK 0.
In the entirety of jjk there's only one time were Gojo was truly angry with someone, Geto is the ONLY ONE who was important to Gojo, the only one.

The 2 girls were being blamed for the deaths happening in the village bc they had powers but it wasn’t them. That’s why Geto gets mad that that’s how the humans he fights for, treat the Sorcerers, and kills the village

Geto is basically the Magneto of Jujutsu kaisen in a world of only jujutsu sorcerers and the eradication of non sorcerers
When he tries to justify that those two girls were innocent but the villagers still think they are the cost and geto finally snaps & goes full massacre mode
i think he really snapped when he realized the normal people were causing curses to form with their anger
@@consumev I’d say that’s a big part of it. Geto and his comrades are suffering and dying to save these bad people form problems they are causing. That pushed him a lot but the breaking point was those girls.

Undoubtedly my favourite episode. Gojo and Geto's internal conflict was mesmerising, two opposite changes in mentality but for the same reason of "being the strongest is not enough".
What many seems to overlook is that Gojo is the strongest, but he's nos infallible. He's still human. There's just as much he can do on his own and change things. And he knows that, that's why he chose teaching. In s1 he said it himself. Killing the higher-ups would be easy for him, but they'd be replaced by new ones and nothing would really change. They need a revolution, and for that he wants to train and raise the new generations of sorcerers so they can be his equals
Toji is the whole reason the Jujutsu Kaisen world is the way it is. The reason Geto turned and the reason Gojo pushed to become stronger. There is no jjk we know and love without Toji.

Wow… Geto sort of reminds me of Eren from AOT. Yeah, their methods are different, but Geto is still trying to protect his comrades and jujutsu sorceres, but is willing to wipe out everyone else… wow. I feel for Geto, but homeboy wrong. Ughhhhhh I love that I’m not a manga reader and have to anticipate what’s to come 🫡🔥
I have been dealing with a vitamin d deficiency, I have night sweats and electrolyte imbalances I can’t remember much of my day or anything with brain fog, I feel like a zombie I wake up as if I didn’t sleep I feel hazy I have numbness and tingling and doctors aren’t much help but I’m doing vitamin d and magnesium as well as some potassium and b12 it’s 1 am for me rn and my hands got tingly and a sticky feeling that is mostly gone now and I feel weird with anxiety but watching RT TV has been such a huge impact on my life and I always talk about them to my friends and they know when im watching you guys because they can hear you getting excited or yelling through my headphones when we all on discord and this channel helps me so much since 2021 I love Pat, Rob, Evan, Wellz , and Jerry. I feel like I’m a part of them and my friend noticed I would watch their reactions after every show I’ve watched and that’s true with Star Wars, anime and Netflix, I love pop culture it brings everyone together
From the Rei gun pose last episode to his character and change of perspective being very similar to that of Shinobu Sensui's, Geto's character felt like a walking YYH reference to me and I absolutely love it. Definitely one of the best written JJK characters. (you guys should definitely give YYH a try imo)

After seeing the reaction of the reactors to this season's Jutsu Kaisen, I was reminded that Jutsu Kaisen is a difficult anime for foreigners to understand.
I also checked the English subtitles, but there were a few things that I wondered, "Is this how it's supposed to be understood?" I was a little concerned about the English subtitles.
It is difficult to understand everything in the anime.
But that doesn't mean I can't be spoiled in the comments section.
I am sure that Jujutsu Kaisen will continue to be a difficult anime for reactors.
Few people understand words like bind, open curse technique (revealing information), reverse cursed technique, domain.
I love the casual insanity that be going on in JJK
Geto’s life is tragic honestly his cursed technique is truly one you could view as a curse. Having to consume the results of all the negative emotions of humans would literally drive anyone insane.

not a biggest Gojo's fan but when i see that scene where he woke up from the long ass flashback & lift his eye patch to look at his students and with that smile yeah i really like it.... that scene hit me alot and just make me felt like eternity even though we've just been through 5 episode also feelike watching some different anime 😂 and now we are back to Jujutsu Kaisen officially season 2!
So basically its just …jujutsu sorcerers has to protect non sorcerers risking their lives while ironically the curses are born from the cursed energy of same non sorcerers … and the fact that due to the haibara ‘s death geto probably would have thought if its for non sorcerers curses would have never born and in the end if anyone one of his comrades or jujutsu sorcerer die its just for saving non sorcerers and then those clappings from those people who were non sorcerers celebrating riko s death …

i think a lot expected this to be the whole season 2 and we had to wait for the next arc. but now i look at it they handled the pacing perfectly and set it up even better then the manga in that it "felt like Gojo remembering the past"

Gojo is OP but he has a lot of flaws and this flashback shows us that there are ways to take down Gojo.. with a literal one time opportunity. if it's not perfectly planned out and it fails you'll never catch him off guard again.
Great reaction as always! I personally think the absorbing of the curses and their taste is the least of it for geto. If def sucks; I think everything is a cherry on top of everything else like Jerry said. I think he feels extremely unappreciated by the masses. It’s rough because most in the universe don’t understand or even know about those things which is a good thing imo.

when we first see Gojo domain expansion he says " its ironic, when granted everything, you cant do anything, except die slowly ", that is Gojo himself, he is the strongest yet we never saw him winning, wasnt able to protect Riko, yes he killed Toji but for what ? he already lost his reason for fighting, wasn't able to kill Geto, in the first season his fight agaisnt Jogo ( the volcano head ) he wasnt able to exorcise it or extract info, on the exchange event, he finished the fights but the cursed spirits still completed their mission, Gojo has everything he is the strongest, but can never do anything, he never wins.
Finally! I get to see Geto’s snap and finally flip. Things from the first season and the movie make more sense now. I know he wants to rid the world of monkeys, but his goal will also rid the world of curses eventually. So I wonder how that will go being that he eventually ends up teaming up with curses to reach his goal. Also, I saw Haibara’s death coming a mile away. Wish they showed more of what happened and we also got to see more of Yuki, which is cool. Now we’re back in present day and I cannot wait for what’s to come.

Btw, Megumi and Geto have pretty similar philosophies.
Megumi saves unequally, he thinks about wether a person deserves saving or not because he thinks not everyone deserves to live.
As he told Yuji: "What would you do if someone you saved killed someone else in the future?"
Ofc Geto is more extremist, but their way of thinking is essentially the same. Not everyone deserves to be saved, the world would be better if some people died.
And honestly, Getos thinking would definitely create a better world. It would take countless sacrifices, but in the end, a world without curses ever being born would eventually, over time, save far more people from dying to curses than Geto had to kill to create that world.
It's also not like Geto hates all non sorcerers. His parents were non sorcerers, he still killed them out of principle. Because he really believes in creating this world devoid of curses.
The path is far from perfect, but the end goal is a better world. That's the source of all terrorists or dictators, they believe they most often think of an end goal that justifies the means and then lose themselves in the process.

Gojo not only didn't kill Geto at that moment but was delaying it for 10 years despite being the only one able to execute the order. He only did it when Geto didn't leave him any choice and Yuta did most of the job. Their last convo this ep is what made Gojo think of what he's doing with his power. He knows the system is corrupt and that sorcerers are suffering. He couldn't go the extreme path Geto chose because he's not as idealistic as Geto but he decided on his own path to change the system from the inside and raise a stronger generation of sorcerers. So he understood why Geto did what he did in the end, just not the methods.

Interesting analogies you guys had. I got one and please anyone in the comments tell me if this sounds like an analogy to how Geto was thinking. Could it be like “There’s all this crime in the world so to get rid of crime, let’s just kill all the criminals, and then crime wouldn’t exist”. But I’m wondering how far one could take that? Like even people who do petty crimes like breaking the speed limit would have to die? Then after that people would be to scared to commit any crime, thus crime would be basically eliminated in fear of death. Idk if that sounds similar to how Geto was thinking but I just thought that was an interesting thought.
