After watching the sport of motocross and Supercross for over fifty years I have come to the conclusion that staying healthy is more important than being the fastest rider. Perfect example... JS7 James Stewart the fastest man on the planet during his career only won one 450cc Premiere class motocross Championship.

@@Lou-eye that’s just how it is man. I raced pro flattrack with bikes twice as loud as standard muffler 450s and we still couldn’t go too high. There’s houses and business around most tracks

Yea…okay. That is the line every fanboy uses but his bias in the broadcasts is obvious. Watch every broadcast and most of Pulp stuff. I would say that’s fine…except on a national broadcast you shouldn’t be able to tell who an announcer wants to win. Just listen to last week again. I’ll give you a specific example, although I could give dozens. Watch the pass Chase makes in moto 2…with the sound off, and think of how you would describe the battle/pass. Then watch again and listen with the sound on…. It’s so bad his comments are not even factual. That happens all of the time …as well as JT offering excuses if Jett doesn’t win ….in his questions. No way can Jett ever be beat on raw speed! Just ask a question JT and let the rider answer…Don’t answer for them in the question….before they can even talk. He fanboys…..hard!
…also…as far as giving credit where credit is due?? What about Chase? His excuses for why Chase could ever beat his messiah of motocross are the opposite of giving Chase any credit. Chase out conditioned Jett and was straight up faster…and that is what won moto 2….and he deserves a ton of credit for working his ass off to be the most fit rider. Credit?
….and yes, JT mentioned Chase’s fitness. After excusing why Jett could possibly loose. Not that maybe Chase was just faster than Jett that moto. Period.
Gonna have to agree with rufuss on this one. Watching the race my gf asked if JT was Jett’s agent….lol. But other then that JT does a good job.

Totally agree. JS7 is a natural in the booth. Enjoy hearing “why” something is happening not just “what is happening”. I can see what’s happening, tell me what I don’t know to look for. JS7 is great at that.
I agree with what David Bailey said about Ricky, he was great when they had him on the floor/track, but for some reason it didn't transfer to the booth. It's like he isn't as comfortable as someone like James Stewart, Grant Langston or Emig when they were there, or even Bailey himself he was really good in the booth
I agree with all 3 of you, James’s insight is actually insightful. James teaches me things about the track, bikes and riders. Also when he predicts something, it happens.
RC fumbles over himself while repeating the same crap over and over. He adds nothing to the race. I leave the race feeling dumber whereas with James, I typically leave the race a little more knowledgeable, and if not he at least made me laugh. RC is a terrible representative of the sport. He’s also arrogant and is an ass to people. If we want the sport to grow RC has to go. RC is the goat, he makes sure everyone says it, we know, he has earned respect on the bike, but that doesn’t automatically mean he’s a capable announcer. He’s not. He’s one the worst.

@@OneSon744 So far mostly. But he is starting to get tattoos. Heck, I had to go to a hospital, and many "professionals" are inked up today. I will ask the local police patrol officers in the hospital, if they got their tattoos in prison. Tats seem to go hand in hand with people who do not think. I expect Deegan to be a bit distracted from now on. I thought he might be "RC serious", but I see he is not. Glad my Surgeon is tat free, and she is "top notch professional".

Red Bud 4th of July weekend is going to be insane! I can’t wait to see if Chase and Deegan pull it off!
Have fun. But I am not paying that much, to be treated poorly. you should have been there in 85 when I first went. You would not believe the freedom, and affordability it once was,--before the FIM took over our racing. I would spend about $300.00 to see 4 motos, and about a grand to see the MXofN. I guess I will just remember the pace that I usually raced at and could afford making $4.00/hr. with a new bike in a new mini truck. I guess I will never go to a pro race again. The FIM made it unreasonably expensive.
I really wanted to see the greatness of Deegan and the L. Brothers though, (Jett will not be there though now), because I know they bug the FIM by being dominant. :)
@@EarthSurferUSA I bet those times were amazing. I hear you about the price.. Everything is just getting so expensive these days, it’s to the point where it makes you not have fun. For example San Diego Supercross it cost me $50 just to park! I spent $150 to go to Pala National this year. It’s not like it used to be. I believe I still have my ticket stub from 2000 Glen Helen for $20 bucks. Those “were the days” for me. I took a break from motocross from 2017-2020ish. I needed the break cause I was burnt out missing the old days. But now I’m able to relax and enjoy it again.

If I had to say which one of these riders is more like JS7 out of Jett and Haiden, I'd say Jett even though most of the time he doesn't hang it out.
If i had to say which of the two were more like RC, I'd say Haiden even though he has more bike skill.
RC never lost a championship to James that both of them started and finished. I'm not saying it will be thay way, but I do believe Haiden will end up with more 450 titles than Jett. I get how people see Jett right now, amazingly talented, a generational talent with perfect technique. Well, never underestimate heart, intensity, determination, and an insane will to win and that's what Haiden has.
Tomac, Coop, now Jett all out with the same injury..... which is also a pretty rare injury is just crazy!! Best wishes and speedy recovery to them all 🙏. This is Hunta's title to lose now imo, but Chase might be reinvigorated af now with no Jett, so im excited for the coming battles!!

It's all Bidens fault
When you ride a bike your thumbs go under the grips and when you fall you either jump off or try and push the bike way from, therefore the many thumb injuries.
I wonder if the team's did not cheat a little bit on sound.Because they needed to increase the power output of their bikes on the notorious , tough sandy southwick track.
The track is easier than it used to be, and they have to run a bit rich for the sand because of increased engine load. More power would be nice, but running a bit rich loses a bit of power, so they don't seize like Hunter did last year. Mechanic picked the wrong map.

I think I read that 1 dba is 10 times as loud,--but it sure does not sound like it. Where did you get your information? It sounds more likely.

The 250 class should have been a barn burner. But in the week that series was going to begin, the class lost three heavy hitters, McAdoo, Hampshire, and Hammaker. All three have the speed to run up front every week.
I just don’t think they are the level riders haiden is… haiden turned 18 at the start of the year and is working people, those dudes you mention are all mid twenties or older basically… haiden will be long gone from the 250 class by then, there’s a difference. If those dudes were as good as haiden will be in his prime, they wouldn’t still be riding a 250 as harsh as that sounds
@iillestrs2153 That's doesn't sound harsh. It's the truth. But three guys with that level of speed would have made it more exciting. All three f them have beat Jo, Chance, and Haiden. It has nothing to do with the age of the rider. Just how fast they are when they're on the track at the same time. Hampshire just won the 250e SX title. Not because he's twenty- something. It was because he was faster, more often than anyone else. Haiden has definitely come a long way in a very short time. If we're lucky, he won't have to spend his career chasing a 250 title like some guys have. If things keep going like they have been, he'll check off the 250 outdoor title in a few weeks. I just hope he doesn't spend next year defending that title. By then, he'll be ready to get on a 450.

I am not taking the 4 hour trip to Red Bud like I did so often in my racing days. The FIM made it cost too much I believe. We can't get into the pits freely after the races anymore (charge more money and sold out tickets). The place is like a Police state now, with Police all over the place and searches with no probable cause. The vendors are all picked by the FIM/AMA and no competition is allowed, and a shirt probably cost $50.00 bucks today, can charge what ever they want with no free market competition. Every dollar that goes through the place is controlled by the FIM, and our track construction, and I am not forking over a grand to see another MXofN or $300, to see 4 motos of a national.
Looks like I will never go to a pro MX race again. This sport is now out of reach for many who participated in it with business that actually grew the sport.
Have fun, but I think you are suckers to jump through all the hoops today, and pay out the nose for a few live motos.

Nobody cares about the SMX "world championship" (3 more races make a work championship?), other than the promoters. Real racing fans will only recognize the SX and national series. Not even the champions really give a crap. It will just be history repeating itself with the FIM series failures.

You could have so much more credibility instead of tryin to make up irrelevant drama like Anstie running 6 secs faster and then backtracking to 4 secs. People who actually know moto can clearly see that just wasnt true and we saw that last Saturday regardless of the great sources u so call have.
Two things can be true. Anstie could have been faster than Deegan in that practice sessions and Deegan could have turned it up for race time. The riders who win on Saturday are usually not the fastest riders during the week.

Well last year was Jetts first season outdoors on a 450 so it def hasnt been 2 yrs?!? And not every race is won on fitness anyways.
And as someone thats driven Laguna Seca, on cloudy days stock cars with stock exhausts will fail sound. Literally anything that a sound wave can bounce off will make a meter read higher. Yamahas are notoriously loud and star def pushes the limits with their bikes, and it was a bunch of fmf pipes that failed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh, you can't bring your own beer anymore, but have to pay "the selected" what ever they want to charge you. No beer, except from the dictatorship.

@@theread3480 I learned during the 2001 promoters scandal, (that allowed the FIM to be directly involved with our racing, as they teamed up with Clear Channel, and illegally (lost in court), closed up the venues for the AMA and Jam Sports entertainment (the new AMA contract with the new promoter who would air it live for the first time), that the AMA is not independent of the FIM, but actually an arm of the FIM. The FIM rules the AMA, weather the FIM logo is on the banners, (as they were, but not now) or not. I know the history of it. it was published in 2001.
