I can still remember the first ever time I listened to this song, It was a recommendation from Her, my soulmate but in a friends way. I remember she text it to me telling me to listen to it saying, it won't cure your depression but it might help :) and I sat on my stairs and listened and at first I didn't like it but I found myself listening to It all the time, and eventually I fell in love with every single novo amor song. And then I lost her, almost 2 years ago now, not to death but to us growing up. We grew up together as we were neighbours but we were more than just fiends, we always said we were soul sisters/soulmates but then suddenly we weren't anymore. 14 years of friendship just gone. When it happened I stopped listening to novo amor, and every now and then ill get this song on my playlist and ill skip it, and then ill get it in my recommendations and ill try to listen, ill get like 5 seconds in and click off. But this time I made it to 0:41 before this pain rushes over me and I just break completely. I hope one day ill be able to listen to his music again, but in a way I want to keep his music attached to her, so every now and then I can listen and be reminded of her, even if it hurts. Because even though it ended, I don't want to ever forget her, or stop loving her, and sometimes I just read through the comments to see if maybe she wrote something similar to this, its something she'd do, what can I say we were soulmates. But if your reading this, Mary, I forgive you its taken me such a long time, and I still don't understand why you did it, but I forgive you, and I still love you, but that love isn't a " id do anything for you no matter what you do to me" kind of love its a "Thank you for being my childhood, I love you now because you used to mean so much to me" You no longer mean that much to me, but you did once, and that kind of love you never forget or loose, it sticks with you.

I remember the times when i listened to this song during my trips to and from the hospital when my Mum was in the ICU. The pain and misery she felt during her final moments on the bed suffocated me. I had to keep on lying to her, told her that everthing was going to be okay, and that she will be free from the pain, and she will get to see her dad again (my grandad who is still alive now). I had to repeat that more weeks till she took her final breath. This song really hit me in those times. I wished i could have done more for her. She left this world 3 months ago.

i found this video awhile ago and yeah it sounded calm and nice but it didn’t really hit me until i read comments about leaving school on a late winter night, where the air is so cold and crisp and your listening to your music and your hands and ears are dying red ahhahah…walking alone on the streets while you pass houses that are ready for dinner and see the warm light turned on and it gives you more excitement to get home. Or even going to school on a early winter morning and the sun isn’t up yet…so you stop by Tim’s to get hot chocolate with whip topping. I hope one day ill be able to listen to his music again, but in a way I want to keep his music attached to her, so every now and then I can listen and be reminded of her, even if it hurts. Because even though it ended, I don't want to ever forget her, or stop loving her, and sometimes I just read through the comments to see if maybe she wrote something similar to this, its something she'd do, what can I say we were soulmates. But if your reading this, Mary, I forgive you its taken me such a long time, and I still don't understand why you did it, but I forgive you, and I still love you, but that love isn't a " id do anything for you no matter what you do to me" kind of love its a "Thank you for being my childhood, I love you now because you used to mean so much to me" You no longer mean that much to me, but you did once, and that kind of love you never forget or loose, it sticks with you.

I remember the times when i listened to this song during my trips to and from the hospital when my Mum was in the ICU. The pain and misery she felt during her final moments on the bed suffocated me. I had to keep on lying to her, told her that everthing was going to be okay, and that she will be free from the pain, and she will get to see her dad again (my grandad who is still alive now). I had to repeat that more weeks till she took her final breath. This song really hit me in those times. I wished i could have done more for her. She left this world 3 months ago.

i found this video awhile ago and yeah it sounded calm and nice but it didn’t really hit me until i read comments about leaving school on a late winter night, where the air is so cold and crisp and your listening to your music and your hands and ears are dying red ahhahah…walking alone on the streets while you pass houses that are ready for dinner and see the warm light turned on and it gives you more excitement to get home. Or even going to school on a early winter morning and the sun isn’t up yet…so you stop by Tim’s to get hot chocolate with whip topping. So when I finish school and come back to this video and this comment section, I bet I’ll be missing it.
