    So skillful. Acquire baby oil. Dollar store should have some. It makes the glitter move more slowly. If you use water use distilled so bacteria won’t grow.

      And these are so pretty and practical. The rest I’ve seen are either crazy long, or square. I do like the wild stiletto ones but I’d poke my eye out or something. These are so perfect. And such a great tutorial! I def think we can all do it and get great results 💅
      And you can make them and sell them for $150+ per set. I was just looking at some and I’m here cuz I want to make my own exactly like I want. Now I’m sos excited!! This video was PERFECT!

    I've done it with water and it didn't evaporate at all, the glitter moved around easily as well. I did a wine set and the nail was a wine glass so my water did have a touch of food colour in it, but I don't think that make s a difference. I have a pic of the nail on my Instagram page, I'll msg it to you so you can have a look.
    On that note, this set is so cute!! I'm loving them!

    Very pretty and yes use baby oil. I did a press on nail many years ago. I still have one left that I saved from when I was in school. And the baby oil is still in side. Water evaporates. The nail I made has a flower in side and very little glitter. My teacher and everyone was in love. I also have one with lights in it.

    • @FemiBeauty
      @FemiBeauty  Před 5 lety +2

      @@FemiBeauty it worked out beautiful. One day I will show. That is how I also did my Aquarium brush with lights in side. I talked about it on my videos but I never showed it. The only ones who seen it was my husband and my family and his. I will show it one day.

  • @dearyvettetn4489

    Nice! At first I thought that there has to be a way to get rid of that bubble but since the glitter doesn’t move much, the bubbles give you that sense of liquid movement. Until you find glitter that moves better in the liquid, the bubble is a keeper.

  • @TheNailJunkie0605
    @TheNailJunkie0605 Před 5 lety +2

    I do this on my daughter. It’s easy. We use oil n water mix. It makes the glitter move faster.

    Absolutely loooooove these!!! ❤️
    I think a runnier oil would help them move. And maybe try using some heavier pieces of stuff. The hearts looked really thin and lightweight. I have never done aquarium nails, so I am not speaking from experience, but I figured that might be a good suggestion.

    • @FemiBeauty
      @FemiBeauty  Před 5 lety +1

      Femi Beauty you’re welcome! 😊 Good to hear I could be helpful!

  • @MsDay
    @MsDay Před 5 lety +1

    For better movement don’t fill nail up all the way with oil. Use lil less oil to allow room for oil to have space to move around. When you put to much oil it has nowhere to move because it’s to filled

    • @delisajennings
      @delisajennings Před 5 lety

      MsDay you can still fill up to the very top and then put your bead of acrylic on top in smaller sections as long as you’re holding the nail still. It’s also a good way to not have any bubbles. The glitter will move more freely and not get stuck on that bubble inside. I’ve tried it both ways and the no bubble option looks better in my opinion. But to each it’s own.

    Beautiful set. From personal experience, baby oil works wonders really well when doing aquarium nails (just the right amount). Don’t jam pack the aquarium nail (took me a few tries to get it right lol).

  • @justjessy0115
    @justjessy0115 Před 5 lety +1

    You know if you use baby oil & also add a little water as well it'll help everything move alot more freely. Just another option. Love the nails, they are fabulous. I just might try this, thanks for the idea. Xoxo 😉🤗💜

  • @mrs.clarissamoorefield9414

    Those are awesome!!! I heard you say give tips...Try water with a little glycerin in it. Water evaporates over time though or the seal wasn’t great.Helps the movement of the glitter. And try not to get acrylic on the “face” of the nail on the sides.

    Water won't evaporate from inside when it's sealed. . . . It has to have somewhere to evaporate to, ie the atmosphere. If it's sealed correctly the water will stay inside. 😁

I'm in beauty, fantasy and SFX makeup artistry, custom painting and design and other design work so I can't wear my nails (esp really long ones) all the time and I don't really like using glue either, but a lot of the tabs don't stick very well. I'm also searching for nails with extra wide nail beds, but have only found one box in the US and a BUNCH in the UK via ebay, but the shipping is crazy. Any ideas? Thanks!😊💕💕💕

    Don’t topcoat the inside unless you’re going to cure it before the glitter and the oil. That’s what is bunching up your glitter and stopping movement. Just cure before the addition of your glitter and you should be fine.
