অসাধারণ পর্যালোচনা। মুগ্ধ হয়ে শুনলাম। শ্রদ্ধেয় দেবব্রত বিশ্বাস ও কালিকাপ্রসাদ ভট্টাচার্য দুজনকেই সশ্রদ্ধ প্রণাম জানাই।
চিরকালের সেরা রবীন্দ্র সঙ্গীত শিল্পীকে শেষ করেছেন কতোগুলো অপদার্থ রবীন্দ্র অনুরাগী। তাদের জানাই ধিক্কার।
অনবদ্য! অশেষ ধন্যবাদ। দেবব্রত বিশ্বাসের সঙ্গে অকালে প্রয়াত কালিকাপ্রসাদকেও সশ্রদ্ধ প্রণাম জানাই।
জীবনে অনেক ভাগ্য থাকলে এমন বক্তৃতা শোনা যায়, এমন ধরণের বক্তাকেও চোখে দেখা যায়, সেটা আমার ছিল আজকে একটা নমুনা পেলাম !

দেবব্রত বিশ্বাসের সম্বন্ধে এই উক্তি শোনারপর শিল্পী স্বর্গীয় কালিকাপ্রসাদের সম্বন্ধে মানুষ হিসেবে আরো শ্রদ্ধা বেড়ে গেল।
এক জন প্রতিভা র মুখে আর এক প্রতিভার কথা শুনে মনে হয় স্বর্গে বাস করছি।
দেবব্রত বিশ্বাসের গলায় গান শুনে একরাশ মুগ্ধতা পাই। বিশাল সঙ্গীত জগতের মহীরুহ
অসাধারণ উদ্ঘাটন "দেবব্রত বিশ্বাস" --এর ।
আত্মগান! কি অসাধারণ অনুভব এবং অভিব্যক্তি! স্বর্গীয় কালিকাপ্রসাদবাবু বুঝতে পেরেছিলেন। আর কয় জন এটা বুঝে গান করেন কিংবা শোনেন বলা মুশকিল।

Well presented Mr. Kalikaprashad, you did a wonderful job by refering to Rabindranath. The Shatiniketan Authority did a injustice to George Biswas but the history (time) speaks in favour of the great singer.

This was a brilliant talk.
Like you, in my early childhood I woke up listening to Rabindra Sangeet sung mostly by Debabrata Biswas.
After that there was considerable upheaval in the family and I ended up living abroad for many years.
I'd been reading Ravindranath Thakur's writings a lot. Building upto Sheshlekha.
When I came back and read more, I realised how the Upanishads, the Vedanta, had influenced his thinking, and become his life's philosophy.
So I began to study the Vedanta with a Sanyasin from the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission.
Right at the beginning, and many times while teaching, she told me that the Guru just shows the door. The disciple has to walk through it.
What happens when I did walk through it was another matter altogether.
But between the Vedanta, and Rabindranath's writings I have found my dharma. And much ot has been amplified by Debabrata Biswas's voice.

ধন্যবাদ । খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়কে তুলে ধরার জন্য ।
গান দেখার বিষয় নয়,কানের সাথে মনের মাঝে মিশিয়ে দেয়ার বিষয়,।
গানের কথা যেমন মনের সাথে মিশে যায়,গানের সূরও তেমনি কানের মাধ্যমে মনের কাছে পৌঁছে দেয় তখনই, যখন কানে গানের সূর কানের মাধ্যমে মনের মাঝে জায়গা করে নিতে পারলেই সেটা গান,তা যে-কোনো ঘরানারই হোকনা কেনো।সা রে গামা পা ধা নি, এটা গানের ব্যাকরন।এখানে কোনো ভুল হলেও সূর যদি কানে বাজে সেটাই গান।

Happentually only today I got the oppotunity to hear it and really to feel it.
In my rather our younger days, there was lot of common man who were mad for Debabrata's songs but the then intellectuals were silent when Visva Bharati did not approve his songs.
Kalikaprasad was genius to deliver such excellent analysis of Debabrata Biswas. Sad, such intellect will not be with us physically

Thanks , late respected Kaliprasad Bhattacharyya to right represent ation of Debrata biswas &I have seen a few times in our brach for singing songs due to LIci Hindustan buliding account maintain by us without renumaration &also outside of my branch &that time a few Rabindra Sangeet Singer s & without singers oppose his songs &one of polatical person still alive &now minister in TMC

It is matter of great regret that my humble submission in connection with the George da has not got any importance to me the only reason of ignoring me I am from very ordinary class and if I was from aristocrat class my prayer would have been attended while the prayer wasn't for mine and the same was purely for George da and the role of intellectuals when the so called singers launched battle against him I believe that this topic has not been consider so long seriously. I believe if the intellectuals would have fought correctly. the. f fate of George da would have been other wise.f
