And a lefty on top of that. The city of Atlanta just needs to be patient and let the kid have his time to get settled in and learn the job of how to be a pro while Kirk starts. That way he has plenty of time to get adjusted to the lifestyle changes and learning all of the new aspects of the game and having the time for the world to stop spinning so fast everywhere else, so it can slow down for him on the field. If the city will do that, Penix will be the QB that the city needs. But they can’t be trying to push the kid on to the field just because. Putting that undue pressure on him could ruin him before he ever gets the chance to be his best self.

Saying nobody should care what K Cousins thinks sums it up. He was never worth that contract. ATL basically bought the Vikings problem. The Vikings were also looking for a QB in the draft...the main difference is they didn't want to pay Cousins to be a bridge QB. The real story here is about the Vikings GM and HC. They prepared and executed. Before the draft, they let Cousins walk....they put together a package of picks to get two picks in the first round. They used those picks to trade up and get both JJ McCarthy and Dallas Turner. They signed Darnold as their "bridge" QB for pennies. ATL could have signed a guy like Tannehill or Brissett as a bridge QB for pennies....they were picking #8 so they didn't even have to do all that work the Vikings did. Credit to the Vikings for doing their homework.

During these Lebron debates nobody ever wants to bring up how the league completely changed right during Lebrons prime. Jordan never had to deal with that kind of revolution. When lebron came up the league was more like the jordan Kobe league, who were both not big 3 point shooters. Then all of the sudden Steph completely revolutionized the game. I also think that MJ and Kobe were part of teams that are more like the Warriors and Nuggets. Teams with a good organization, 1 head coach and a head office that knew how to build teams arounbd them. Lebron was drafted by a bum organization that didnt know how to build a team around him with team mates that hated him. He had to take his career into his own hands and its really hurt him going against these incredibly built teams that stay together for their entire runs. Lebron just didnt have that opportunity
