It seems obvious that this is a bit of equipment she isn't used to, especially if you're a fan of her other work. Nonetheless the room was bouncing.
That's something other ppl don't understand, everybody say that she is a bad DJ, and absolutely she isn't! That's a fuckin problem with mixer i guess.

I feel like it's with the vinyl that she has a little more difficulty. In the mixmag set from a couple of months ago there's some errors as well. But nonetheless, she knows how to hit the right spots with me. To me that means she's got the soul for it, the sense. She's awesome.

Madre mía! Tan buena música y tan malas mezclas. Ellen tenía un mal día desde luego, no es normal que lo hiciera tan mal, algo le pasaría. Es una gran Dj, pero lo de este set es para lo borre de la web.
In my opinion the set was a little bit ugly because of the mixer ( richie hawtin fanboys rage in 3...2....1....). Now I explain better... Richie is a performer that with addding drumloops, rides, hi hats, toms, forms a song and that type of mixer is the best for his performance because of the six channels and not four like the most of the other quality mixers, I think that the sweepable EQ is good for his needs because he almost never slow fades in a track but only some grooves. For a real dj that mixes tracks the sweepable EQ is terrible because you can cutoff only a certain frequency at the time and not LOW MID HIGH like in the Pioneer or LOW MID 1 MID 2 LOW in the hallen heat one. So you cannot bring in full filtered track and then slowly fade in these but only a one band of frequency track with almost the entire track running so it's extremely difficult to do a good mix in a mixer like this unless you're Richie hawtin IN MY OPINION

still beatmatching is not working here. And since this is a showcase for the mixer, you should be able to play with it.
Let's be real all of her sets sound like crap i've listened her twice live and boy does she disappoint every single time the second time she played before Len Faki and let me tell you the difference between them skill wise was immesurable

Muy de acuerdo, pero creo que es una excepcion entre todas las grandes actuaciones que da esta mujer, hay que tener en cuenta que solo Hawtin y Dubfire han tenido mas tiempo para probar la mixer.
+Enrique Arredondo la mixer, no tiene nada que ver Enrique, es a la hora de cuadrar los vinilos y cds...
Pero es evidente que lo es, porque en ningún set se le van, si te fijas hay un momento entre el 2do track y el 3ero en el cual esta buscando algo en la mixer.

I know its futile to rip on someones beatmatching because half of you cant hear the difference and the other half are so off your face or have such a hard on for the dj that it doesn't matter but fuck... this is just appalling. All that access to exclusive vinyl only to be fucking destroyed like this... what a shame

It sounds like a good DJ has just given her a tracklist and told her to teach herself how to DJ when she starts her set, frustrating that mixing this bad is sought after and she gets a slot in the boiler room bcos shes a girl -.-
My guy she's a label boss of an excellent label and a very seasoned DJ so that's why she got this set and secondly, she's using a brand new mixer that isn't even on the market yet to mix this and it's clear she's still learning where everything is on it and how it sounds.
Sexism shit. Say she's a bad DJ but please, leave the girl thing.
I think she is just uncomfortable on the gear setup, I have heard some absolutely banging sets from her, don't think being a girl has anything to do with it, she is just talented.
