    Unprofessional is the word. Not predatory. White dude tried to tell me the other day “if you don’t think touching hair is inherently sexual, then you haven’t dated black women.” As a black dude that goes to several locticians, I was flabbergasted by the white saviorism. Somebody else tried to tell me literal hygienic grooming leads to sexual grooming, I guess because it’s the same word lmao. People wanna virtue signal so bad.

    Even if he has no ill intention with the children he doesn’t know what the children are thinking. If one of those little girls have a crush on him, he just fed into her fantasies of being one step closer to him. And one day she could tell him that she likes him and then he says oh no, that’s inappropriate. He cannot control what these little girls may say like she might get upset and say he SA her. Because she might be mad or she might be embarrassed that he rejected her so that’s why he needs to keep a professional guard up with his students. Watch the movie Crush or Poison Ivy. I had a friend who was obsessed with our PE teacher in the eighth grade and he was fine but he was so strict he had to be strict because all the girls wanted him they all thought he was fine and we’re all 13-14 years old. My friend wanted to re-twist his dreads for him the last day before Christmas break and he quickly said no and all the boys were laughing at her. She was so embarrassed, he stopped the other boys from making fun of her though. She was still mortified, And if it wasn’t for us(her friends) talking to her and assuring her like it’s no big deal. She probably would have taken it to another level because she is crazy. She got like 6 kids now with 4 baby daddies. And she tries to ruin their lives every chance she gets. I haven’t talked to her in 10 years because she crazy 💯

      I didn't even think about it from that side. You're completely right. Adults have to set boundaries to protect themselves AND the kids from taking things too far even if the other side thought it was innocent. Oh, hell no! If there’s some important reason they need to speak to my child on the phone when not at school, they can speak to my husband or I. Predators love to speak to kids away from parents to ask invasive questions about their love life, whether they have a boyfriend or not, so they can test their boundaries. They do use intimate acts service to make them comfortable with touching them and more likely to agree to more comfortable with being touched. They will ask for massages. If you are a parent you need to educate yourself on how child predators operate.

    I think when it comes to men, ppl automatically have a certain type of way of thinking when it comes to them and kids, which I really don’t think it’s fair to men at all (and this coming from someone who was groomed and SA’d) but I noticed in school when we would be close with our women teachers it was “adorable and nice to see the children love you” but in some cases, when we would LOVEEE our men teachers and we wanted to stay in the class or skip lunch to be around him (the same thing we did with women teachers) then it was seen as “weird” and then “something not right there” which I find really bizarre because if that’s the case then we shouldn’t have been allowed around the women teachers that way either.

    The issue is you don’t know when people have bad intentions until something bad happens. I don’t think you should treat everyone like a predator but I think you should understand that anyone COULD be a predator and that’s why you have to draw a line and set CLEAR boundaries. I’d rather be safe than sorry but I don’t think he is a potential predator I think he just does too dang much and needs to chill out with some of the things he is doing. If he doesn’t understand that then idk what to say. You can have a good relationship with your students without being overly familiar and overly comfortable with them. I always hated teachers that were trying to be overly familiar and overly cool with students when I was in school , it always felt weird. There’s a way to do it without doing too much. Id rather set boundaries to protect students then trying to protect a teacher’s feelings.

NO. think back to the 70s people used to hand they kids over to they neighbors (everyone thought everyone had the best intentions which is a dangerous way to think) and they talked to once a week.. its nothing wrong with being aware, thats how you can stop actual s.a. from happening cause unfortunately most times it's too late.

    While I get people’s concerns….In my personal opinion I feel like it’s only a big deal if you make it a big deal. Casting such harsh judgment on someone and throwing around the P word is a lot. He explained it in the video: It was near the end of the day, they did all their school work, and they had a bit of free time. He asked if they wanted to take his hair out and they agreed. Now if you personally feel uncomfortable with that, that’s fine, but it’s kinda crazy to just assume the worst of everyone like that. I had some teachers that allowed their students to connect with them and it made learning so much fun. The classroom felt like a community and made being there more enjoyable. I retained way more of the stuff I learned with those kinds teachers than others, tbh. Like I said, I get that it’s kinda sus depending on how you look at it. Depending. Which is why all angles need to be considered and the people in the situation: teacher, admins, and parents, need to do their due diligence and take situations like this case by case. I want to say it all comes down to gender. When I say that because the thought of a female teacher having her twice and done by her female students wouldn't be as opposed to a coach having all the boys on the team's number🤷🏾‍♂️

    My hometown was full of predators & groomers. You had good and bad teachers. The teachers I was close to, and even went to their house, were all women who never put their hands on me at all. Some people would say being at their house was too much. But in my experience, most problems happened when these kids got too close to the opposite sex. I knew an 11 year old girl who kept getting pregnant(aborting/miscarriaging) by this 23 year old guy she was "dating" until she couldn't have children by 14. Her grandparents were our neighbors and they would literally give her to him for the weekends. There was also a yt teacher there were rumors about in our school that always stayed close to the young yt girls bc he had "a preference." I always remember there was a handsome young guy that worked at a local convenience store that the local teen black girls would not stay out of his face. I was not one of them. I came in and got out with my products. Well, one day this guy comes from behind the counter starts groping me. Deadass I was shocked and froze up. I never came back bc it scared me, but I always remembered how those girls would be close to him and what he really was about. That said, there were multiple known unconvicted rapists I were warned about by my parents living there. Mind you, this is a small southern town. And the talk in town was too much like a lot of the stuff said in this video. A lot of parents left their kids vulnerable and the rapists had endless victims because of the mindset. A weird old man made me touch him as a kid. Some random guy wanted to kidnap me and another girl from a different school tried to rape me when I was a teenager. I'm also convinced my 2nd cousin is a child trafficker and wanted to feed my sister to a predator. Mind you, I had my guard up unlike a lot of these girlies I grew up with. Anyway, this comment is too long. I could talk on this topic forever tbh. But I grew up in this type of sh*tshow. I respect parents willing to put their foot down and say no. The teacher doesn't have to lose his job, but he'd be acting like he had an ankle bracelet if I had anything to do with it.

He also had a hair appointment regardless he could have done it himself. I feel like what people thinking is why just the young girls of his classroom. He said he has a great relationship with them which is great but what about the young men. I didn't look at it as far as him being sexual with the girls but he also knew that there are boundaries when it comes to teacher and student.

      It’s odd and very strange yes, but you have to learn the circumstance of his stance & past life, he was not a normal man not in a negative way but he grew up on stage infront of thousands of people from the age of 5. Imagine life without a childhood, Christmas, birthdays, playing, being aloud to call your dad dad, he was so screwed up that he seemed the joys of childlike innocence in his later life after all the success he achieved (why he built neverland etc) and spend more time with children

  • @missdivzii
    @missdivzii Před 2 měsíci +1

    That teacher is so weird. Children do not have a concrete understanding of boundaries and it's imperative for people with a duty of care to vulnerable people to take safeguarding seriously. Regardless of how innocent his actions may seem and his intentions may be, a student doing a teacher's hair in class, on camera is inappropriate (unless you are filming a tutorial for a cosmetology school). You cannot give grace or benefit of the doubt when it comes to inappropriate behaviour between teachers and students. At best it's reckless and undermines his authority, at worst it's a grooming tactic. Either way we shouldn't take that risk of saying it's okay just because nobody involved was in harm's way, teachers not only teach, they act as role models, so to model inappropriate behaviour and actively try to normalise it to a group of impressionable people is worrisome and opens doors for someone to be taken advantage of. Imagine this: one of his students who he's not so close to is quiet and shy and doesn't help with his hair, she watches on and thinks it's okay, normal, encouraged in fact. Fast forward to college, her professor is a creepy predator but she doesn't recognise that he's a weirdo until it's far too late. Young people know no better and it's the job of the adults around them to protect them by acting with caution and foresight. It's not his job to be besties with children, he can be close with them without having to literally be close with them.

    take your own hair down tf.. boundaries are a thing.. i watched it a bit more and with context.. i get it they were tryna help him take it down but its very odd of him to call them his best friends.. where are the boundaries..
    the people sexualizing it are also weird af, its just unprofessional, i dont should just assume everyone is a predator, its good to have good relationships w/ students but again boundaries
