The film for international release in 1965 is entitled ONLY THE BRAVE KNOW HELL, but it was released in the USA as THE RAVAGERS. with DA KING in English language. One of his early war movies of INTERNATIONAL release. Basta Eddie Romero, de kalibre. DA KING FOREVER.
WOW i've been looking for this movie for a long time, most of the scene was shot and filmed in MAGDALENA, LAGUNA PH. mostly at the town Plaza and the Church. like my dad told me before that there was a War Movie filmed in our town before starring FPJ and some American Actors. this movie is to good to watch a classic war film. 😍

The majority of the film was actually shot in the small town of Mabitac in Laguna. The church on top of the hill was still standing there up until now.

Have seen this movie when I was still a kid. Nice seing it again coz it brings back my childhood time, mahilig manood ng sine kahit di pa halos maintindihan ang mga tema noon. I love all of FPJ's films. Eddie Romero is one of a kind as film director. Other actors ( foreign & local, as well) did good performances. Hope to see more films of quality be uploaded in days to come. Thanks.
Wow I didn't know that FPJ and John Saxon had a movie together that was epic. I guess this film were shoot during early 60's even all those legends actors that I know we're still in this their younger years. It's so amazing to watch

"The Ravagers" (1965) - philippine-american coproduction - stalwart John Saxon in the lead - pinoy star Fernando Poe Jr. as the young Sgt - Bronwyn FitzSimons (daughter of Maureen O'Hara) makes a good impression as the american girl - altho this would be her last screen role - - like many low budget movies - the dialog was probably dubbed - it sounds like Saxon's real voice - so i guess it's FitzSimons' real voice - and even Fernando Poe's - since his mother was american
Because of gold, treasures stolen, pirating... that starting of wars and crimes many lives lost especially innocents people 😔
