Not all the time. The Irwin Allen tv series "Code Red" and the Glen Larson tv series "The Fall Guy" both utilized that electronic siren.

A stock 6.0 powerstroke does not sound like that. And it rolls coal. Aka unburned diesel fuel. That’s a bad ass utility

its an American tradition that goes back to the early days when we had steamers, fire company gets a new truck... or an anniversary
Hi everyone! I'm from Italy so I'm European,first of all your trucks' lights are similar to a disco party but they're useful as your Air Horns/Sirens are,in addition,you have real trucks to deal with emergencies,we,have little trucks,3 blue lights impossible to be well seen and we have ridiculous siren and obviously,we don't have air horns,we have normal horns,which aren't useful at all,the reason why we have those little "trucks" is because,as Europe streets are narrow and old,the trucks you have couldn't pass and would stuck in traffic or would crash many many times against walls and houses,ok for dimensions but what about sirens? Air Horns? Lights?,European designers should inspire to your trucks when they decide to design a new one...
+Italian Diecast Unboxing Channel I agree, some of the apparatus over there have so much room that's wasted, especially on some of the turntable ladders I see. Now most European drivers act faster if they hear sirens and many times I like the law that if traffic stops vehicles have to part way so emergency crews can easily get to the scene.
Rainman14 in addition to what I said,many firefighting trucks have burned out lights so it's even harder to see them coming
+Italian Diecast Unboxing Channel now that most trucks are switching to LED lightbars, burned out lights are a rarity but lights on the side and back of the trucks and some ambulances burn out every now and then

Located on old route #22 in Pennsylvania...I believe in upper portion of Berks County and runs East and West along Route I-78....
I hate those roto rays. They ruin the good looks of the trucks. They should get rid of them
