I just passed my math last night!! This was years of procrastinating because of how bad my fear of math and just numbers in general is!! When i tell you I literally crammed 2 days of studying i am not lying!! I looked all Davids vids on math and took the practice test and I passed it last night. If I can do it and mind you is been 21 yrs since ice been school (16 when I dropped out) then anyone can do it!!!
Thanks for posting this because I really needed to see this. My fear of math is literally the only reason I have not taken the test. I dropped out at 17. I'll be taking my test Monday. Congrats to you.

No not the exact questions, but the same concepts. There are three questions I got right because of the way he explained on how to solve the questions presented on the test The one about the options and it really helped me understand and not feel overwhelmed or hopeless. I went through the test by answering what I was sure I onew and got 21. Then went through and redid what I was insure of.

Did you pass language arts?
Passed everything besides math in 2017 but Due to discouragement and doubt I put off taking the math portion until now 2020. Finally got the guts to go for it so I watched a couple of these videos the night before the test and ended up passing today and Completing my GED. My class graduated in 2013 and I’ve spent these 7 year of my life feeling like a worthless bum just because I didn’t believe I could do this and was worried to fail. Don’t be like me and believe in yourself, you can do this ! We are all Kings and Queens but just don’t realize our own worth . Good Luck 👍

I took all four test today on four hours of sleep. It is crazy long and exhausting to take all at once. I scored 168 in the language, 162 in social studies, 158 in science, and 153 in math. I live in Alabama by the way. I dont know if the testing is different elsewhere.
Also keep in mind that I did very little studying for language, science, and social studies. All of the practice tests and practice test videos showed that it all came down to reading comprehension. I focused my time studying algerbra.
Language was definitely the easiest for me. It was mainly reading a super long paragraph and answering around 7 based on said paragraph. I think i had to read 4 or 5 of these really long paragraphs. The stories were long and boring. In the end reading comprehension is all you really needed.
In the essay, you have to read a really long paragraph that has two arguments. The goal of the essay is to decide who has the better argument based on the facts that are presented. Pulling out information from the essay was easy, but the compiling of information and typing it down in my own words took forever. I'm not a fast typer or good speller so this one was hard to do before the time ran out.
Science was a bitch. It had much smaller paragraphs than the language portion, but it was so harder to understand. I felt like a couldn't understand English while reading most of these paragraphs. I almost didn't finish the test in time because I just had such a hard time reading the paragraphs. It seemed to be mainly testing your reading comprehension and knowledge of how to read graphs. It also threw several questions at me that told me to use a calculator. I didnt have a clue on what to calculate so I relied on reading comprehension and critical thinking to guess.
Social studies was a lot like language but a little harder. You had to read long paragraph and answer the questions based on the paragraph. You had to read paragraphs from things like presidential speechs and answer questions like "What did president mean from this statement?"or "What can we infer is the presidents standpoint from his speech?" It also talks about the different government branches and what they do. I didnt know which branches did what so I wish I had studied up on the basic government branches and how bills, laws, and acts get passed. I dont remember a ton of questions that dealt with the branches but it definitely would have upped my score if I had know the basics.
For math it had a lot word problems, make an algebraic equation from the word problems, solve for x type problems, and graphs. I cant think of anything else about math. Just make sure you understand how to graph, make an algebraic equation, factor, FOIL, fractions, exponents,etc.
During testing I would have rather have done another math test than science because your brain didn't turn to absolute mush during math. I am actually surprised I didn't score higher on my math.
Just remember to not stress yourself out before the test and not overestimate the test in your head. Im not saying it was an easy test but it definitely wasn't as bad as my mind made it out to be. To all my fellow test anxiety people, I wish you luck! You got this!

I got my ged in one month. Watch every CZcams video you can find about the ged. If you don’t understand something, find a separate video to explain it.I took my math test today and passed! For everyone: the main things on the test are slopes, fractions, find x, percentages. Fractions were on there a lot! You got this!

dont waste your time on difficult questions in the beginning of the test, and if you think you know a question take your time to answer them. take your time and dont rush

Man I passed my math test! I went in there with no confidence. I was even telling everyone I failed the test but turns out I passed! This helped me get started then I began to understand everything else thanks so much.
They have questions on the test where you have to find the surface area of a cylinder for a logo on a can. But you have to remember to subtract the area of a circle from the bottom and top. Because the logo doesn’t go on the top and bottom of a can. Things like that where they don’t tell you and you have to figure that out for yourself. I think a lot of people would miss that

most colleges don't accept anything that's below 150, when i checked college websites for the GED, the colleges must need somewhere up to 150 to 170, it's really stressful though.

Studied for my math exam with mainly just your videos and they helped me actually understand math. I passed my math exam and completed my GED today too! And really couldn’t of done it without your explanations. Thank you!
*Tip* take notes during the lessons, try figuring out the problem before he explains it, that way you know what you’re struggling with. Use his extra links too, if needed, they’re very helpful. Also it’s better to get really good at one skill (algebra, geometry, etc) than to try and cram all topics at once, you’ll eventually forget everything. Take it slow and deep, not wide.

Even though I didn't pass my Math test right after watching this video. Back in October 29th 2020 I finally passed my math test! that was my last test that I needed to pass! Let me just say, i hadn’t taken a single math class since 8th grade, i watched and took notes over the course of 2 days!!! and PASSED with a 154 today, yes 2 days it’s not ideal but it is POSSIBLE!! this was the only thing in my head that would keep me from getting my ged after i passed the other 3 but i got it!! and i know there’s a lot of comments about people passing but i promise if your determined you will do just fine, i quite literally guessed on more than a quarter of the questions
also i studied all of his topics and passed history with a 169 science with a 163 and english with a 156 this guy is truly a live saver!!! thank you david🙏

I went today for my first try at the Maths test and I passed thanks to this video and a couple others, but definitely watch and learn from this video, most of it is in the exam.. Great work, thank you so much! Out of everything in the exam slopes came up the most, so learn everything to do with slopes! And breathe, because I stressed myself out the whole exam!

@@annmarie6554 I wouldn't say it is exactly the same, because I would be lying but definitely watch and learn from the video it will help you alot, but you'll do great! Just relax, and even if you dont know the answer go through all the answers and cross out which ones dont make sense because there are ones like that then out of the ones left you will be able to determine the most likely answer. And make sure you read and pick up on certain words, it's all about how you read the questions that will help you get the answer. Good Luck!

Just finished my math online proctoring test thank you I passed after failing 4 times!!!
I literally just passed my Math exam, which was the last one I had to complete .I passed the first time, which is amazing. I took the GED in 2007 and as we know all previous exams and results are obsolete. I started studying 11/11/20 and passed the exam today 11/29/20. I passed the first three exams easily, with the help of Kaplan test prep and GED ready exams. So, my math test was the last test I needed to complete and my worst subject. I knew the basics of math and reviewing the book triggered some memory, but I'll be honest I only knew 40% of that math. Anyway, this video helped me breakdown the questions, which relieved my anxiety and helped me pass the test with a 150.
@Supa Trending Daily Yes do it! The exam isn’t difficult , I’m just not a numbers person lol. The 2014 test is much better than the 2002 exam, I failed the math 3 times in 2007 and I gave up. The thing I noticed a lot was the slope questions , graphing and geometry. I know nothing about slope, I can graph and geometry is okay, but I say do it. I tested in 2007 passed 3 but couldn’t pass math, years later I take the in 2020 GED, passed everything within 1 week. You got it !

The truest thing you ever said was to not get stuck on hard questions that you probably won't get right anyways. Just flag them and finish the test, so you dont take a chance of running out of time and missing the easy ones.

Another quick easy way to also do it, just multiply the 8% by 4,213 in his sales. Then add his $285 per week to the amount
.08 x 4,213 = 337.04
285 + 337.04 = $622.04

I ended up going to GED classes in my local community college but I was asked by my math professor to help him teach his class for the day after explaining to him the method that I had used for multiple different problems.
Ive been too scared to take the Math ged test for 4 yrs. I'm the only person stopping myself. I'm so tired of it. I want to get into massage therapy but this and the science is all i need. I need to give it a shot already ugh.

Passed 17/20 hiset, first try with only 5 days of studying. I just did all free practices tests, and looked at most of the hiset videos on yt like this. I also passed the reading and writing first try.

I just got my ged result and I got up to 190 for math on my first try without any study .In my opinion, math is the easiest test for most secondary school students in Vietnam here probably because students in Vietnam always have to study so much and we already learn through the ged math stuffs in the no calculator part in grade 5 or 6 (about 11-12 years old) and the complete math stuff in ged in grade 7 or 8 ( the grade 8 program is even harder than this). Yet, we find the other tests in ged quite difficult for us because english is our second language. However, I finally pass it on my first try with quite flying colours at the really first days of 16 and I’m applying for freshman at some international colleges and universities for accountance program here in vietnam so that I can save 3 years of studying in high schools and I’m so so excited rn. P/s: I watched this vid right before taking my ged math test to get to know what the test is like so thank you for making this vid David! And I wish all the viewers would do their best on the test and get the highest marks. Love y’all ❤️❤️
ohh and another thing I want to say is that when we take the math tests hare in Vietnam, you have to remember all the mathematics bc we are not allowed to bring anything (even a paper to take note) except for a pen and (maybe) a calculator to the testing room. So when I took this test, I completely didnt use the formula sheet and I didnt even know whether there was a formula sheet cause I was being too focused on the test

@@screamluver5444 I never asked them. The calculator they have on screen is the same and it worked out much better for me along with the whiteboard next to it. I had 15 mins to spare after I was finished.

@@SquirrelJokes2000 basically a little of everything. But a lot of algebra, graphs, linear equations, plot points, finding the volume of a surface, simplify equations, finding units, worded problems.
I flagged the more challenging ones and did the easier ones first, then come back to them.
Left school 11 years ago. Passed 4 tests late last year, all I have left to do is math. Wish me luck!

taking math and social studies on wednesday, hopefully i'll pass but this time i don't have high hopes like i did with the other subjects. im stressing out lmfao - I PASSED!! i didn’t get college ready, i was little four points away but i did it!! i watched this video as i was getting ready and prayed while taking the test 😭
I was stressed over math too tried to study but didn't really get anything done besides understanding the exam content. From my experience it was all very basic simple math with few complex questions so I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

These are literally the same exact questions I took on my first test every single one of them! I'm kicking myself for not watching this before test day because I would habe pasted. Now the next test most likely will have some if not all different questions. Time to search for more practice tests lol

@@jovani4954 exactly the same! The next test had all different questions. If I didn't pass I wasn gonna make 2 other accounts and take the practice tests to see the questions. I fell like they would keep the questions the same if you try to take multiple practice tests. Thankfully I passed the second time around. Lot of graphing questions both times and algebraic questions as well

Yeah man similar Questions no doubt. This is my 7th time taking it. I got 144 first time, 143, 142, 141,135, 140 recent try in this order. And i kid you not, a lot of these questions i've seen on the test multiple time the actual test i did. So i started searching other practice test on CZcams for math and sure enough, similar questions on there lol. Im probably going to take notes watch the practice tests over and over and over again and do practice problems of similar Q's. Believe i will pass soon if not in a week when my test is. Best regards to you on passing and others in this thread. Got one more to go. The other subjects was easy to me because im good at em i didnt even study for science, english, social studies. Only thing i looked up for english was just tips on the essay and even without the easy i still would of passed.
Going in for my 12th time tomorrow. I obviously have a learning disability with math and I’ve studied and studied and I just don’t fn get it.
