A little bonus upload for today.. a match I've been wanting to release for years. There were a few noticeable issues with the source file, but i tried to work around them.. still, an absolute rarity in this quality.
Fun fact, Fed and Delpo met 8 times in 2012 ! The six first ones were won by Fed, including this match, a 5 set at RG and the Classic at the Olympics. Delpo won the last two.
Be fair to Nadal, his strategy vs Fed was solid. Fed started the match vs Nadal on fire (4-1 lead in the first set). But Rafa used his trustee Uncle Toni strategy, keep peppering high bouncing topspin forehands to Fed's single handed backhand. Eventually Fed's unforced error count increased, then Fed's confidence goes down, then Fed's other shots start losing their accuracy as the mental strength is not the same... And Nadal wins... Fed stopped this when he finally upgraded his backhand in 2017 though. Too bad he didn't figure it out earlier.
@@romsrequest That tactic killed Fed so many times, it was his criptonite. It's unbelievable what he managed to do in 2017 and onwards... He truly delighted us as fans, if only he converted one of those match points vs djoko...
Is there another rivalry where one player has won all matches against an opponent at 3 of the 4 Grand Slams but lost all matches against the same opponent at the 4th Grand Slam?
I would say all things considering he didn't do a bad job in that match at all. To go toe to toe with him in that match the way he did considering the beast Nadal was in that tournament federer came out got the first break was hitting winners left in right and played an excellent first set tie break and out rallied nadal on set point. So idk what your talking about also considering Federer was a cluts compared to his 07 form he's 30 here and five years older than Nadal and 6 years past his best season so what in he'll are you talking about. He played the most ferocious version of Nadal maybe ever 6 years past his best season 5 past his best AO run and started up a set and a break at love and kept it close. So what in the hell do you mean humiliated. That easily could've went five. Fed was up a break as well in the third or 4 th set. So wrong!
@@itsallillusory671 Stop w the age bullshit. Like stop the cap, you weren't saying that in 2017. This was federer very close to his peak, he beat novak and murray later at wimbledon and was no 1, Nadal is simply a better player IN THEIR MATCHUP than federer and that's it.
@@lukadordevic1718 Behave yourself .Federer won both grass and hard court overall battles. And also you call that humilation?. What about Nadal lost 3 sets 6-0 and all surfaces against Fedex.Thats pure domination. Please come back with "injury" excuses.I know Nadal fans love that argument lol
@@lukadordevic1718 Pretty sure 2015-2019 proved that if Roger was using equal racket technology his WHOLE career it's not a rivalry... RF has 25-30 slams with a 97 inch racket.

i LOVE this match. One of my very favorites Federer matches ever. What a display of beauty and elegance. Roger was too good in that AO
I'm extremely happy that i was able to bring this match back to live. It's been too long.

they met 4 times in a 2 months, and besides Dubai, fed always dominated. Must have been a nightmare for delpo.
They met at every tournament they entered starting from the AO. Insane. DelPo would have had at least bagged 2 titles during that stretch
Similar to 2009
Delpo beat him in the finals of 2012 Basel, and then again in the 2013 finals of Basel
Roger tal vez no lo más letal pero si lo más hermoso en tenis, cada partido son cuadros hermosos de los mejores pintores!
Unbelievable how after such a beast full monologue he played that bad against Nadal
No no, he was made to look bad by a much better player!

Could you upload their meeting in the 2009 AO quarter final? 6/3 6/0 6/0 from Fed 😳 Such a brilliant performance !
I would love nothing but to do so but the quality available for that match isn't up to my standards, I'm afraid..

@@beric98 In the peak of their forms and heights, Nadal absolutely dominated him everywhere and was 1-2 on grass, please stop the bs.
