COH 2 vs COH 3 How Does Axis Arty & Rockets Compare?

- We do another test on Arty and rockets, this time between coh 2 and coh 3.
This is Part 1 with just testing Axis units. It's not to prove anything in particular, just an interesting comparison and some interesting things to note.

The sound and graphical effects of COH2 seem better and more satisfying. I hope Relic improves COH3.
For me the biggest thing is the sound of the launch/shot from a distance
Yeah, way better. For pretty much every effect and weapon COH2 did it better. I went back to CoH2 after the Operation Sapphire Jackal patch because I was so bored with COH3.
I really hope they bring some major changes soon, but I have my doubts... seeing as their first priority was a cash shop instead of giving us the simple option to customize our player profile.. >_
In CoH 2 even if you're in the middle of a huge battle, you will ALWAYS hear the telltale launch sounds of the Werfer or Stuka (or Allied rocket arty) and you ALWAYS know what rocket arty it is because each one sounds unique. it's just so distinct but also just at the right volume that you have to actually pay attention and get used to it.
You will learn to respect that sound and immediately move your infantry and team weapons.
In CoH3 not only that rocket arties deal pitiful damage their sounds are barely indistinguishable from each other.
Relic said they will NOT make any more changes to the sounds. Fans will have to just copy paste the sounds from COH2 into COH3 to fix the game

I've always thought that the leFH's description was a little weird.
Yes, it does fire faster, but its main advantage over the B-4 and ML-20 is that it has a much smaller fog of war scatter debuff.
And when it comes to range, ingame all three of them have the same range, with the ML-20, B-4, and even Zis-3 outranging the leFH irl.
Some of those impact effects in coh3 are so weak

Very nice video. The audio editing in COH3 is really wonky. Maybe you can test the audio on the HMGs next?

Yeah sorry I could have tested that. It was more that coh 2 doesn’t (not including the incendiary barrage)
CoH3 is a diamond in the rough much like CyberPunk 2077 b4 Phantom Liberty (sounds like a Metal Gear Solid title).
you should have played the coh3 units shooting individually so we could see how bad the new animations are

2 was much better with the lighting and sound
3 has some work to do with the sound, but going back to 2 it looks so dark and grungy in comparison

While I don’t know a whole lot, I think turn over at all gaming companies is very high
