- I CANNOT believe people like bleu cheese ice cream. What the heck.
Ice Cream Base Recipe:
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
2/3 cup sugar
1/8 tsp fine sea salt
6 large egg yolks
1. Simmer heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt until completely dissolved (5 mins).
2. Remove pot from heat and in separate bowl whisk egg yolks.
3. While whisking, slowly pour in about half of the hot cream mixture.
4. Return pot over medium-low heat and cook until mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a wooden spoon.
5. Strain through a fine strainer and cool. Then place in ice cream maker (along with desired additions) and enjoy!

Idk about other countries but in mine Singapore we have this cursed ice cream block in a rainbow bread its werid but its tasty and had a slight chew or bite to it and my guilty pleasure is always corn flavour uts just subtle and sweet

Mashed potato & ice cream is a nice combo too, you can try boiled mashed potato salad (don't put any oil, onion, pepper etc) & only sprinkle a bit of salt & sugar in it for added flavor. Then mix it good with vanilla ice cream.
Fun Fact: Some commercials use mashed potatoes instead of real ice cream to shoot their ads because the potatoes don't melt under the heat of the studio lights. So yes, the creamy scoop of scotch delight could be just a potato salad without the dressing.

The weirdest ice cream I've tried was roasted garlic ice cream at the Gilroy garlic festival as a kid and it was surprisingly good .

I am 💯 trying the Sriracha one! That actually sounds fantastic.
What I do is I put a bowl of peanut butter in the microwave and melt it, then pour it over my ice cream 🤤 you should seriously try it, it is so good!

For the balsamic, I would have used this balsamic glaze from Trader Joes, its a little tangy, a tiny bit sweet, and has good vinegar sour in it. That, I would put on Ice cream, and I think would be pretty good.

Ice cream is actually a sensible pairing for hot sauce because milk is a great way to cleanse your palate from the heat of the hot sauce, so I imagine the Sriracha would be a lot less spicy in ice cream.
I’m immediately trying the ice cream with Parmesan. The northern Italian in me cannot hold itself back.

I had a mushroom sorbet in France and it was actually quite nice.
I love hot chips with my Vanilla Ice cream. I usually eat it separate like a spoonful ice cream and a hot chip in behind it or just dip the hot chips in the ice cream . To me it works best with hot talking either the red or the blue heat or hot Cheetos. You should try it.
Also eating crunch n munch popcorn and ice cream separate is awesome to. Since it doesn't get soggy easy.
