Ok, I want to first say, I LOVE your videos! My only critique and maybe it's only me, but your videos and the songs choices you have selected paint Gibbs and Abby in a romantic kind way. Is that really how people see their interactions? I see Gibbs in a more of a loving "father figure" towards Abby. A father/daughter like relationship.
Heather Harthun up until season 7 they flirted a lot. And most of us see what happened between them in the series as a misunderstanding that was never corrected. Ie, Gibbs took too long to make a move on Abby, and she tried to reason his overprotectiveness as a ‘fatherly’ thing. Thinking in the context of the episode where she makes that remark, it makes sense. She had just found out Gibbs killed the guy who killed Shannon and Kelly. She knows he is overprotective of her, and since he never made a move on her, what could she extrapolate from that? But he flirted with her in earlier seasons, we cannot ignore that. So. She made that remark, and Gibbs being Gibbs he never cleared the misunderstanding since talking was never his strong suit. any questions about this, I’ll answer.
@@miekelei2761 Most of us? Most us see this as a father and daughter relationship and most os us always have. I never got anything romantic from it. I was waiting for Abby and McGee to get together.

To give some examples, in the first episode where Special Agent Paula Cassidy appears, Gibbs asks Abby if something is turning her on. As a female individual with a healthy relationship with my dad, a dad asking that to his daughter is innapropriate as heck. Same episode, Gibbs mentionsto Abby the women he dates find the smell of sawdust sexy; later on the episode, while discussing a suspects hard drive full of porn, Gibbs asks Abby if she found anything good on it, and Abby answers she didn’t find anything with sawdust yet. That’s textbook flirting. Gibbs even smiles a little bashful before closing his computer , finishing their conversation. At the very least, Abby is attracted to Gibbs: 3x03, Abby admits to finding Gibbs’s silver hair sexy “something about his silver hair just gets me all tingly inside”, “his silver hair - that is really hot”; 3x15, Abby makes a double entendre about Gibbs’s impatience for forensic results implying the way Gibbs supposedly has sex is also impatient “there’s really no foreplay with you, is there Gibbs?”, and he answers “What, you been talking to my ex-wives again?”, implying Abby is interested in the way Gibbs has sex to the point of asking his ex-wives (could be a joke, but Abby is weird enough to actually shamelessly ask such questions); 4x05, Abby is interested in what kind of underwear Gibbs’s wears, and he knows she’s fishing for information “So, are they regular boxers? Trunks? Bikinis? Nothing?”. I cannot imagine being interested in a dude’s underwear if I was not attracted to him. These are just some of the many examples of early NCIS stuff that make impossible for me to ever see Gibbs and Abby as a genuine father/daughter relationship. He’s protective of her, and she enjoys that, and they trust each other with intimate details of their lives. That’s the basis of their dynamic. They’re each other’s favourite person. Neither ever make a move towards a romantic relationship, but that could be due to rule 12, since they flirt so much in the earlier seasons and there’s obviously some physical attraction. They stayed the closest of friends, but they could have been more. For me it boils down to this - if I apply a father/daughter label to flirty interactions, I’d puke, cause no father should ever flirt with his daughter. And there are flirty interactions between Gibbs and Abby.

@@miekelei2761 Ok good point, I don't remember much of the early episodes in a relationship sense. I was also way more focusing on Abby and McGee when watching the show since I ship those two. Not sure you needed to write all that either. They definitely took the father daughter route later on though in later seasons which for me worked loads better and made sense in my opinion.
