@won ella But for me the audience participation is important so that the artists gets hype and to see also by the audience watching like us here in YT that they enjoyed the performance. Asian are the best audience. I already tone deaf by her performance at the AMAs by those tasteless locals who didn't even standing up to her at the end. Imagine she performed while the audience was getting wild, that's rare nowadays.

I appreciate the effort she’s putting forth vocally. I’d rather hear the rawness & imperfections because it adds a layer of vulnerability rather than a lipped performance. Lower the key & go for it; she still has it!
JBMC Edits this was alllll live beginning to end lmao they even silenced the audience and turned up her mic feed. Remember this year she has been putting in effort to improve not only her health and fitness but her voice. All these factors lead to better vocals. I’m shocked that you can’t hear that this is live. I mean she has been very inconsistent since 2014 and she realized that this year which is why she is improving. No one wants to give her credit when credit is due and it is a shame and I only see it from Americans. Makes me feel ashamed.

Mariah’s voice is clearly not what it used to be, and that’s understandable. Her voice in this video is very choppy and she doesn’t hold out many notes because it’s just too much at this point in her career. Mariah still has the gift, it just isn’t what it used to be because Father Time catches up with us all.
