Not just English or Americans, most people in the world don't speak Russian. English, Spanish, French (and German in EU) are the obvious choice amongst most people when it comes to learn languages. Besides, if the title of the video is written in English to get more views, it's reasonable to assume that it has English subtitles/voice over too. Personally, that's why I clicked on it when I spotted it in suggested videos. English is not my first language but I still find it very useful as a common vehicle of communication when talking to people of different countries; no need to disparage. If your native language happened to have become the current universal language, you too would be less hard pressed to learn a second language.
