Key word being "track bike". Not built for straight line speed. But props to the Superleggera its fast AF.

Well it's not that surprising though. Track bikes or cars tend to have improved acceleration, they don't race for topspeed. Both these bikes would smoke h2 below 250-270 but h2 would go ahead after that. Even hayabusa would go past these at speeds above 280

9 HP difference is already a great advantage of Superleggera, being paired with thoe massive winglets for greater aerodynamics and stability, no doubt it's maybe the fastest street-legal bike out there and of course most expensive one.
Look how scary it is when HP4's handlebars wiggled a little bit during high speed. Whew. It scares the hell out of me.

I think the HP4 did a great job being pretty much a track only bike, the superleggera got the edge on power and I really believe the front wings help to keep it down so the rider can go crazy on the throttle earlier !
Dang the down force on that v4 is insane holding it down on a straight line that fast of a acceleration is insane!

Put the 40k v4r instead of the Superleggera V4 and the results will be the same. Also, I don't know which mods are done to Superleggera but it's a read legal bike and comes with all road BS restrictions HP4 is racing the only bike and competing ready without any of the restrictions.

@@Zx10mezz I need everything I can get 😂. He was taking off in 1st. The front end of the HP4 is crazy light, and the V4SL has the huge winglets that helps with downforce to keep it on the ground.

@@Zx10mezz that duc got the downforce to keep those 234 hp in check im pretty sure the hp4 race would do better on track but regardless these 2 are simply wsbk spec bikes you can buy simply amazing the hp4 race was made to be an sbk replica you can buy its even using the same suspension and brakes on the real sbk racer and the ducati was tested by alassandro valia laping mugello only 2 seconds off from wsbk bikes in qualifying trim.

This seems to be like with my HP4 sometimes you just do not expect the front wheel to come up and you release it to keep it on the ground. But BMW said that the bike actually wants to lift it to have the most weight on the rear tire for traction.
Idk why bmw would say something like that.....but in these drag races, it's paramount that your bike doesn't go into wheelies.... because in that case he amount of torque being used for acceleration will go in acceleration and wheeling. In drag races, you don't want that.
@@shantanukumar7174 Well if I can be fair she does seem to be faster the time she is holding her front wheel up. IT feels like the wheel lifts, then begins to drop at a point and the bike gets even faster that moment. And it would logically also make sense because all our weight would be on one wheel so it is pressed into ground as much as it can to have grip. But stearing is a bit doof for a little moment then haha

Enjoyed the Video; the man bought the best production race bike there is and it cost him $100k. It can also turn corners from what I hear. Good for him that the guy can ride it too it’s potential. The skill is worth more than the bikes. I’d like to see someone race one at the “Isle of man TT” and see if it’s up to the task.
