- On February 15th 2024 the Milwaukee Bucks faced Memphis Grizzlies . a team with NBA MVP (Giannis Antetokounmpo), a Top 75 player of all time (Damian Lillard) and an All star (Brook Lopez)
Versus a group of G-leaguers and 10-day contract players..
The Bucks didn’t just lose, they lost in the most embarrassing way possible..
How did a championship franchise FAIL like this?
Whose to blame?
And did the Bucks just DOOM themselves by hiring Doc Rivers?

What do you guys think? I'm definitely worried for the Bucks if they reach a Game 6 or 7 in the playoffs.. Milwaukee will get full dose of the "Doc Rivers Experience"...
Hahaha. They won't make game 6 or 7 in playoffs. More likely they will be swept or most 5.
2008 Celtics "we won because we stopped listening to Doc"
That team's defense was amazing and Doc wasn't responsible for that, Thibs was. That combined with KG's last remnants of his prime did wonders.
Then they basically had a coach on the court at all times with Rondo calling the shots.
@@Mr.Sax. agreed except Rondo.... Rondo sucked bro.
@@yellowsnowman9157casual spotted
The fact that Bucks management consulted the Celtics owner before the hiring... LOL
"Why would you hire this....I mean yeah yeah, hire Doc, he's a good coach!"
@@TheDarkbluerockHahahaha
Seriously the Celtics out here playing 4D chess trying to clear the runway for their finals run.
Papa Doc be chocking since Eminem flamed him on 8mile. Now he's in Milwaukee doing the same.
Honestly, Doc had little to do with that 2008 Chip. He actually screwed The Boston Big 3 out of 2 more rings.
How?
@@luisdaniellopez4571Poor scheme. His offensive playcalling is outdated and flat out doesn’t work for the personnel he has.
@@luisdaniellopez4571doc constantly was out coached by Erik Spoelstra.
The Celtics had it in the bag in 2012 ECF. Up 3-2 and they folded
@@luisdaniellopez4571 His assistant, Tom Thibodeau, devised the defensive strategy to slow down Kobe, and the players themselves called plays and held "after-huddle" huddles because Doc didn't do anything. Whenever Doc tried to coach, it was a disaster (going to 7 games against the 8th-seeded Hawks with a negative record and the Cavs.) You don't need to do much if you have a team loaded with experienced, unselfish, high-IQ HoFers and All-Stars.
Lillard and doc overrated in recent history
Doc literally has the 1 ring to rule them all 😂
And secret videos of commissioner Skeletor
Docs lack of accountability is what bothers me . He can’t help he’s a bad coach and if they keep offering him jobs I understand him taking it because apparently he loves to do it..
But what I simply can’t understand is how the hell did an NBA team that has championship hopes AGAIN think Doc was the answer??
It’s just bizarre that the league and almost all of the front offices seem to think he’s a great coach and won’t call him out at all.
Think they don't care about championships as much as keeping Gianis happy by showing that they are at least trying and Doc was the only 'big name' coach available to make that happen?
cus docs in his name
He has blackmail. Coincidentally he's also a black male. Coach black male should be his new nickname.
I wouldn’t say he’s a “bad coach” but he just doesn’t know how to coach a team to a championship. He knows how to raise the floor of a team, he can’t raise the ceiling.
"first doc needs to take accountability" alright seasons over than lmao
After winning their first championship, the Bucks got undisciplined and unfocused. They fired Budenholzer and traded for Lillard to appease Giannis and now it’s blown up in their face.
Those things wouldn't be an issue if Doc had even just maintained the teams current level of success. Firing your coach when your team is flickering back and forth between being the 2nd and 3rd best team in the league is ridiculous. This team has far too many good defenders for them to be rated as low as they have been all season. Even in terms of teams Dame has been on, the teams defense was on par with some of the worst teams he's been a part of, so this isn't one player dragging the defense down. It's the team itself failing. And if Doc were a good defensive coach, he didn't need to touch the offense, just even marginally improve the defense and they could have gone from the 2/3rd best in the league to the best.
People point to Doc's championship, but that's not where executives are looking to see if he can coach. It's that old Magic team that basically consisted of what would today be G League guys that he got into the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference. That's the one and only season in his career you can look at him and claim he might have done a good job coaching. You could also argue that the players were playing out of their mind to have a spot on a roster going forward and were put in the best possible situation to achieve that combined with no one taking them seriously due to a clear lack of talent.
Being called out by Shaq on all star weekend on national television should be a huge red flag to the organization
Here are three things that the Bucks should blame 1 The Management
2 Doc
3 Giannis
No 1 management..
2. Giannis.
3. Doc
@@TheSkyrimps3 Doesn't matter what order
Why Giannis
@@Ra-Ramses because he was in on the whole thing
I added it up and 4 players on the bucks each make more individually....than the salaries of the entire team that played for the grizzlies combined.
not his fault, just ask him.....
The amount of chances someone can get after continuing to lose is beyond crazy
Doc should not be an NBA coach.
I really don't understand why this guy is even still coaching in the NBA. The Celtics he coached way back in 2008 won 1 ring, but after that all the other teams he has been coaching were severe choke jobs. Dunno what was running in Bucks management and Giannis' head when they decided to hire him
I would have to apologize to their previous coach, Mike Budenholzer. He maybe a stubborn old man but he won't allow that BS.
Should’ve hired Terry Stotts instead of Adrian Griffin when they trade for Lillard.
@@gredinainggolan4010 or kept Mike and hired Terry as the assistant
I’m greek and been a Giannis fan since day 1. I must admit tho, he just doesn’t look very hungry anymore, he used to play way more nasty. Doesn’t help they got Doc either.
Now the question is, is this worse than the raptors breaking the piston streak. I wanna say yes
As a raptors fan, that one sucked. But this is hella worse. We knew we were gonna be trash this season. Sad but true
However, I'll dine off our chip till 2029
@@2Less0is0More2 to be fair raptors were down og that game
I like Giannis and Dame and was excited to see them both play together - but there's no way they will get through the playoffs unless someone devises (not Doc) some decent defensive and offensive schemes. I know the players didn't like their previous coach, but hiring Doc was a mistake.
@@M-Cherian don’t know why Giannis decided to go for Doc rivers of all people. Man wants to lose a 3-1 league
The CWC reference 🤣🤣🤣👏🏻 Like this channel EVEN more now💪🏻
Dynasty is a strong word for one title. Frankly it's a strong word for 2 titles
Dynasty is three or more titles.
Just to clarify, an & 1 is when you MAKE the basket, not jus get fouled.
i literally thought he made the basket and i rewatched this clip 10x LOL
Please, remember that all the critics to the Bucks should come hand and hand with praises to Jrue Holiday. Now you see his true impact
Why did they even trade for Lillard, Jrue was the perfect first for this team
Damian Lillard quickly learning Steph wasn't having it so easy 😂
Coach FBG Butta Rivers lol 😂
I'm a Bucks fan and tbh I'm kinda glad we are having these issues cause it's giving the coaching staff a chance to see where we are struggling, I am however getting worried that these issues aren't gonna be fixed this season
Doc never makes adjustments. Thats why teams come back from 20 pt leads & 3-1 game deficits.
2:01 FYI an And1 is when they foul you AND make the basket. Lopez fouled him but he missed the basket.
Let me call my most direct conference rival for guidance, what could go wrong?
I can’t put this one on doc ! Poor doc 😂😂
Absolutely crazy. I always new Doc was trash but its unbelievable that the Bucks FO would hire that man. What a colossal waste of talent.
Ah well. If theyre smart they fire him asap. There's always next year.
3-8 since taking over the bucks. Was 2nd in the east and is now fighting for 3rd.
He did ruin KG whole carrier lol That team should have been able to win at least 1 more.
How is Doc known as a player's coach when he constantly throws players under the bus? It's oxymoronic!
NBA became a joke. No accountability in anything, including contracts. They hate the fans and looove themselves. They completely lost their way.
As a Clippers fan, I feel your pain Milwaukee.
Talent doesn't surpass Bad coaching Period!. 100%
"That is ridiculously bad"
Rondo was def the coach in 2008
I agree with all you saying but @2:22 , that's not a bad or brick shot, the ball hit the front of the rim 😂
By the way, Jeff Teague admit on the podcast that during the Jimmy Butler practice he didn’t take a single shot. When players liked his competitive spirit and asked for a rematch, he refused and stormed off the court to do an interview with Rachel Nichols. “Dominant” performance by the way. More like locker room cancer who came in with a ripped jersey then proceeded to not resign with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Who thought, "hmmmm we need to get over the hump, I know lets hire Doc Rivers." The guy who got 1 championship, in 2008, out of all the Hall of Fame laden rosters he has been handed.
A player's coach is like a parent who's a child's friend. My job is not to be your friend but to get the best of you. No wonder Doc's teams are infamous for, among many other problems, poor discipline, infighting, and mental lapses. Our society has conflated strictness with ab(u)se; a coach or a parent doesn't need to scream, h(u)miliate, or h(i)t to be strict and get the point across.
What’s with the ()
Ty Lue is also a players coach but his teams respect him and he’s a solid coach for superstars. That players coach argument doesn’t hold up well or player coaches entirely would have been out of the league.
@@blackcrow9231 That's incorrect. Ty stood up to Lebron in Cleveland, pushed him to perform, and challenged him in front of the team.
@@RVered that doesn’t say he’s not a players coach, overall players respect him as he knows how to get down to business and handle superstars. Doc doesn’t.
@@blackcrow9231 I get that. I'm saying what the Bucks organization seems to expect when they hear "player's coach"; a pushover that lets you do whatever.
May be Contract players are more hungry for career development.
Wow…..taking a private customized plane to a job where you work 48 minutes a day for millions. Yeah. I can See the misery in that.
I wouldn't blame Doc for the transition being rough. Changing ships midstream is always tough, and in this case it was honestly ridiculous.
Not saying he's doing everything right, but it was going to be messy no matter who they hired.
Happy for the bucks and the fake humble big nose guy 😂😅
Dude this is not on Doc to be fair. Blame Bucks org. Lillard could have been happier as a Heat. 😂
I think Doc shouldn't be judged yet, it's not possible for a coach to make changes in such a short time. Doc has to figure out how to use Dame but that's not easy to do because Dame is not used to play out of his comfort zone. The defence already looks better, the fact that the offence dropped means that the team lacks stamina and it takes time to build, when Middleton returns things will get better for sure
5:21 I’m sure the Celtics owner gave a stunning reference lmao. Took the bucks out of contention.
Doc is probably watching this video taking notes on what to do
When you smell shit, walk away. When you smell shit everywhere, check your dam shoes. Doc needs to learn this.
Idk how Dame even got in the "top 75". Had to be a Steven A bs list. Lol
It makes that championship year feel more and more like a fluke
I love how I have over 20 different NBA channels ranging from pretty successful to HUGE, and not a single one of them are talking about how ghe Celtics are dominating the league
1st round, need a preseason for the new coach
COME ON , NOW !!!
The players are at fault also
Trading Jrue was a disaster
Doing what? lol this aged welll
Doc Rivers getting coaching positions forever after winning one ring 15 years ago: "Suffering From Success"
Losing Budenhozer was one of the biggest errors
What could go wrong when you let your star player hire and fire coaches and play G,M too. Giannis can hit the road.
My guy these are nba players you aren’t bringing a defensive coach in and teaching them how to defend in a year lol
One less team to worry on the East now. The East slowly becoming a cake walk for the Celtics or Heat.
Damien Lillard isnt happy. He wanted to be in Miami. Hes just trying to be engaged and be a good team mate. He doesn't want to be there
That is clear as day, yup
Who ever said Doc is good a coach need to get their brain check. I wont even hire him as HS coach,
“Players coach”a.k.a. He has no idea how to coach.
Doc Rivers, choking the NBA one "superteam" at a time 😂
Bucks fans... we f-ing DOOMED !!
“Almost like it was scripted”.
2:02 that's not an "and one" 😋
love the video tho!
He is probably talking about +1 foul on Lopez..
I actually didn't even notice the ball didn't go in, seems like an easy mistake
it's just a constructive note! i love double H!
you trade your best defender for a volume shooter, that is what you get
They can hire Mike Krzyzewski now, or they could hire Rick Pitino in about a month after the St. John's season is over.
Go Doc lol
both dame and Giannis were on that top 75 list not just dame
i know but i didn't want to list all their accomplishments
If Dame leaves in the offseason for Miami what’s next for the bucks ?
They should have hired nick nurse while he was available
You really showed brook Lopez and said all star like he hasn’t been an all star since 2016
The Bucks will not win another championship this generation
not if but when Doc get his ass fired hopefully no other team will hire him again after this many fails.
Giannis Antetokounmpo , you reap what you sow.
Why would you point fingers at yourself when you're incompetent?
😢 day for the bucks
Whoever hires Doc will not win.
5:24 celtics did them dirty 💀
The Celtics won their championship in June 2008, not 2009
Teams need to STOP hiring this man. I don’t care how well he interviews. He’s been coasting off of a miracle talent acquisition and championship in 2008.
i think Giannis putting all the responsibility on dame like that is wrong. The dude left his old team to join a team with winning aspirations, not to babysit grown men to do their damn job. Every player that had crisis between last year and this year has made a come back because they realised what was wrong with themselves and the team. The Bucks need to figure that out and stop the blame game. Team cohesion is far more important than making that game winning logo shot.
I think people are forgetting that Giannis mostly influenced the firing of Adrian. So if the Bucks fail in the playoffs, the blame is also on Giannis instead of just Doc because he technically made the situation even worse
They did throw Adrian Griffin under the bus so, there getting what they wanted and deserve.
Doc.reverse
He is the doctor of getting reverse swaps
Tbh it’s partially dame too he’s been playing his worst season this season
Wild that brook lopez makes a bad move and just gets in damiens way, and then we have headline blaming the coach.. doc rivers aint playing. When are yall going to blame the players when they are the fuckin probelm?
yes, they did...obviously
The decline of icantashoot-o is going to be westbrick-like. Even worse, actually.
Pat Bev is a curse
Its not doc fault man is the fucking team that doesnt want to play D
this man ruined the clippers, 76ers and now the bucks. stop making excuses for glenn rivers, hes sorry af

Shows you how great the Celtics big three was to win a chip in spite of having Doc as head coach
Bucks management should be fired after this season
Until Giannis grown up, no way the Bucks will win another ring!
WHERE IS DILIGENCY AND PLAYERS ACCOUNTABILITY AS WELL BECAUSE EASY TO BLAME COACH ON THIS BUT WHO TRULY FUMBLES THE ONLY THING I SEE TO BE BLAME ON DOC IS HIM NOT BEING EMOTIONAL ON HIS TEAM DOING BAD BUT PLAYERS NEED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE DAME AINT PLAYING CONSISTENTLY WELL THIS YEAR TO EMPHASIZE
