Haven’t heard those terms since the forum days of darklyrics.com
And now all I want is a black metal song starring cowboys in the official video.
mfcord Somebody please do this
Gonna Take My Steed To The Old Norse Road 🎶
Gonna Kvlt Till I Can't Forevermore
OMG
Now just turn it down and play it to some black metal!
seconded.
Put it on 0.25 speed bröther
YEAH!!!!!! The corpse paint is the only reason I like this song 🤘
This dude and this record are genius. Literally one of my favorite albums. This song was never a favorite of mine but now its climbing up the ranks in my brain a year and a half later. Thats the sign of a killer record. Dope video too.
'medicate this beatdown'
OH MY GOD I LOVE IT
This is awesome stuff.
(and the people who are being negative about the song just because it ain't metal need to go and listen to country and bluegrass, as they were both metal before metal was created. and some of the world's most influential metal musicians actually started because of people like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Bill Monroe, etc etc).
@@iii___iii It was indeed.
@@iii___iii Yeppers.
@@iii___iii That's likely because you aren't used to people telling you that music is universal, and that genre names are just labels attached to certain sounds. Plus, if you listen to old country and delta blues etc, you'd see that they had all of the metal trademarks (hell, death, even sex and drugs, etc etc), and these sounds influenced rock & roll (as did jazz and swing), and when bluegrass and chicago blues came about, more new sounds were created, and thanks to all of those genres, we have modern rock, blues rock, metal, southern rock, right down to punk and even industrial music etc.
Also, I'm a bit of a music historian, and it's easy to confuse people (especially when they've grown up with certain genres etc). Also, you don't have to agree with me on everything, although I would recommend that you keep an open mind about music.
@@iii___iii And I was neither, as I grew up listening to all sorts of music, and I've always known that there was some sort of connection there (A knows B, who like A, has performed with C, who was in D's band that A used to be in, fronted by E who knows B and F, who was D's best friend in high school and is now in C's band alongside B, and F knows G, who was in B's first band but ended up being in A's current band and is married to C after divorcing E, and all of them have performed with H, and so on and so forth). Not just that, but if you listen to a lot of music, you'll see that they borrow ideas from other songs, with one prime example being Sex & Drugs & Rock 'n' Roll, as the main riff for that is actually the melody for an old song called Old Joe Clark, which is an old-time/country/bluegrass tune from the late 19th/early 20th century. Similar goes for The House Of The Rising Sun, but only in that, it's the tune that is different, as most people would listen to the version that The Animals did and would call that the original version, but actually, it's an old tune from the late 19th/early 20th century, and it's actually got quite a few different versions.
Oh my god someone needs to do a black metal song with a country theme!
Then we can all start crossing the least likely of bridges to meet in the middle without sacrificing the spirit of our cultures and the world will become a better place.
co-sign
check out panopticon
Working on it, actually :-P I need to work on my screams more first though
@@GargoyleBard I wish I could thumbs up that a lot more than once! If you remember, keep me posted on when you release it! I've gotta hear this!
It's not country, but Folk Metal has already gone down the traditional music road, so a Hank Williams-style folk metal song isn't really that far outside the realm of possibility. Although, if I had to guess at the first people to do it, it would be Sabaton if they ever get around to Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders. ;)
This is the best
As a metalhead, this is a fuckin' brilliant video. Good song too. Also, big props on featuring an interracial couple.
Thank you!!
Sure thing, champ.
Lol weaponizing, that's a pretty big word for you, huh? And in what way, exactly, am I weaponizing racism? I mean, perhaps I was mistaken and praising a country video for having the depth of character to unabashedly portray something that many people still find offensive due to their prejudices. Not too mention embracing a very different and darker musical culture and centering their video around it.. but yeah, that must make me a horrible racist. What can I say, I hate white people....
.
.
Or... Maybe I'm just a Shitposting troll waiting for some idiot to get seriously butthurt about a comment on a music video on CZcams because I think it's funny... Hrrrmmmmmmmmm *pensive contemplation*
The joke, is that since you're trying to attack me and label me as a racist - I'm calling you an idiot in a very roundabout way.
I get this feeling that you're not a big proponent of farcical hyperbole...
Somewhere an old conservative couple is having a heart attack
Im one half of that couple.....i don't understand
How can you not like it?
Country is just emo farm music
Hahaha this is awesome
Omg dude, I am so sorry. I hope ur better now.
I came here cause someone on Instagram was shitting on it... it’s really good! Keep making good shit and you got a life long new fan!
The song is a bop, and the corpse paint is fuckin well done. They knew what they were doing
Jimmied Jamms Boppin’
"This sick of Black Metal makes me laugh!" - Lemmy Kilmister, 2007
No peito do Black Metal bate um coração.
🖤
Real
Clicked thinking Country Black Metal...
Well. No Black Metal
And the Video is the most Country thing about the song.
F yeah juggalo nation is stoked !
No this is corpse paint not juggalo paint
@@DontTouchMe5000 icp invented corpse paint tho
@@disbarge9862 kiss invented corpse paint u poser
Oh boy, what is going down here
Great song!
Still more black metal than the Lords of Chaos movie
Country black metal :'vvvvvv
Perfect song title
so basically, a country version of 'alt lys er svunnet henn", amirite? :)
Now this is actual Country! None of that Pop crap that these "Country" stations play these days. So in that sense, the corpse paint fits perfectly.
Mimes in a country video?! Who would have thought?!
Bloodshot Records is all about Alt Country and Rebel Rock. They know what Black Metal is, and probably actually listen to it. Stop being so narrow minded. Yall a bunch of dorks out there.
Alleyway Jack Ha, we do often listen to metal in the office
LOL I think
You are correct
Black metal still great
I hate country music but I'll let this slide.
The dark lord thanks you.
Saw a trve kvlt looking person in the thumbnail and thought this would be some good black metal but no it was clickbait
bunch of click baiting nonsense if you ask me.
You do know this sounds like old school country, right? Ya know, the stuff that always talked about drinking, shooting, and doing coke. So the corpse paint can fit perfectly.
Now, if it was Pop Country shit like most of today's crap, then it would be clickbait.
musics_my_life corpse paint was created by black/death metal artist called per dead Ohlin who made it like he did to look more like a corpse it doesn’t fit with country at all since black metal is about suicide, death, anti Christianity, and every bad thing about this doomed world we live in
@@kqwell9702 Wrong corpse paint was invented by insane clown posse cos it represents they sick and twizted nature you absolute dunce
You act as if other genres can't write about that stuff. You also act as if bands have to write about that stuff to wear corpse paint.
Wtf well black metal is going down a worse shit hole than it was in
Look what Billy Ray Cyrus started!!!
Ryan Gerber We welcome our new overlord Lil Nas X
wow, country black metal???
I think they should cover Ea, Lord of the Depths in a country style.
@@michaeltozzi3112 actually totally down for this.
@OsuVox I see my favorite Autopsy album as your profile picture therefore, I shall listen to you!
Yes. Because this is what black Metal is about. Flippin of the sun for shining and romances between Outsiders... Bro what you are talking about are goths. If you are using Images Like corpsepaint inform yourself what it is about and learn about the culture of black Metal. I know BM often is quite cringy but this is far beyond cringe
I think it's more pop punk bullshit rather than Goth, but you're right
@@hannahdouglas6952 yes pardon me. English is indeed not my first language so mistakes can happen. But thanks for pointing it out
Legal só esse cabelo do cara que é horrivel
All the kvlt people in here pissed about this video are just mad it depicts a black guy being part of their subculture.
Trve black metal!
You're the one painting with a broad brush, I'm from Sudan and love Black Metal, can play all the evilest riffs on my guitar
What a waste of money to make, this is going nowhere. Sad!
So, are you a music snob, or a racist?
The Inundation Idk, the views are racking up
@@BloodshotRecordsOfficial If only as an oddity. 15K though, good for y'all
Eh, I kind of like it as a Kenneth Anger style juxtaposition, like when a very saccharine Pop song plays during a violent murder sequence
Yes, exactly!
@@iii___iii you didn't notice the interracial couple featured in the video? I mean... It's pretty prominent. I thought it was fairly funny. He probably just doesn't like the song or whatever, but since he's a singular human being, he thinks his opinion is suuuuper important, so he had to let us all know how much he didn't like this by taking time out of his busy busy day to write that comment about how he feels about this video. Super important
Liked the song and hated the video
