  • The truly unique Norwegian hip hop band KARPE already delighted their fans in 2017 with an massive show concept. But this year's stage design is even more breathtaking. This time, the duo had a flying, oversized glass cube built directly in Oslo's stylish No.1 venue Spektrum. The band was able to perform inside and on the platform of this Meta Cube called flying stage. The transparency of the plexiglas outer surfaces could be controlled by the tech team, so that change overs could take place in secret on the inside. A big amount of light and sound equipment were rigged in an ambitious 360-degree concept. All this was only possible with the help of numerous event technology companies. The production management was taken over by the professionals from Spectre, who planned and built the impressive Meta Cube Stage for KARPE with the help of the German company HOF. In the video, Production Designer Sebastian Ekeberg, Project Manager Terje Hvam (Spectre), Head of Sales Matthias Wellmeyer (HOF), Lighting Designer Lars-Morten Larsen (Filament) and Audio Systems Engineer Jochen Sommer (Adamson) explain their challenges in creating this ambitious stage project.

Yes, that was definitely an impressive project. It's great to see a more Norway-based band like KARPE putting so much effort into a concert series.

as always impact material, designs that inspire to go out of the typical configurations. 🦉🧿

Exactly, the rigging was really tricked out and one of the most exciting parts. Was great to see the construction live. Thanks for your kind words...!

Amazing production. But the sound was a huge disappointment. It was really not that good. Which is sad, as it's kind of the most important thing imo.
