FIX Lenovo Laptop HAS POWER but NO DISPLAY/BLACK SCREEN after switching from EUFI to LEGACY on BIOS

- My laptop was Lenovo Ideapad S145. I encountered this problem after switching from EUFI to LEGACY on BIOS. For other models, you may check out Lenovo BIOS Simulator download.lenovo.com/bsco/inde... for your reference...
SOLUTION: STEPS
1. Press Novo button (wait for about 10-15 seconds before accessing the BIOS setup)
2. press DOWN ARROW KEY "once"
3. press ENTER KEY "once"
4. press RIGHT ARROW KEY "3 times"
5. press ENTER KEY "once"
6. press UP ARROW KEY "once"
7. press ENTER KEY "once"
8. press RIGHT ARROW KEY "once"
9. press ENTER KEY "2 times" DONE!!!
If the solution above did not work, try the following troubleshooting:
► Perform a power drain: Remove the battery, hold the power button down and wait for the laptop to shut down, then hold the power button down for another 30 seconds, then turn the computer on and check.
► Turn off the computer, then reset the RAM. Reconnect and turn on the computer.
► Turn off the computer. Reset the CMOS battery connection. Reconnect and turn on the computer.
► Turn off the computer. Remove the battery, CMOS, ram, and hard drive connections (for about an hour), then long press the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect all parts, and turn on the computer.
► For a black screen, use the following keyboard shortcut: Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B.

I had the same problem one morning with my Ideapad Gaming 3.....I looked for every solutions through CZcams ....tried pressing the power button for 60 secs or 20 secs.....tried using keys as well...all of these steps did not help me solve the problem.
Luckily,saw one of the comments in this video. The steps are as follows...
Open the back cover
Unpluugged the RAMs and clean it and replaced their slots( DDR5 STD means standard placement and DDR5 RVS means reverse placement..flip up and down)
Unplugged the battery and replugged it.
Connect the laptop charger,press the ON button and BINGO...it worked. Thanks to that guy's comment...

i had the same problem again. i checked the video steps mentioned in the comment and i was changing step#6 from UP to DOWN and vise versa but with no hope. Today i tried many random things like removing the battery, removing CMOS battery, disconnecting/reconnecting motherboard cables but with no luck. Suddenly it works after removing the extra 8gb RAM card and played with step#6 and it works ! i don't know any logical reason for that but at least my laptop is alive again. I entered lenovo support website and update the BIOS manually and restart the laptop and still working until now. Just sharing my experience with this bad laptop purchase. from the date of buying this laptop i am facing strange problems like no sound problem (solved by disconnect/reconnect sound cable in the mother board), dim screen problem and still exists even after trying almost all solutions in the internet, and now this problem mentioned in this video.
I pray mine isn't this hard. I feel ilke im in the same boat but I have just left mine off for so long and the battery life is so bad I have to leave it plugged in most of the time. Do you think these steps will still work if I have to leave it plugged in charging? I agree with you 100% on bad laptop purchase, ill definitely be getting another brand if I end up having to get a new one or eventually when I do upgrade.
Is the all data deleted after you removed your ram card? I am worrying about all my data will delete 😢

First my problem was automatic repair when I tried to fix it i shut it down then I turn on the power wouldn’t turn on help

@@digitalphpro tried key combination, No go. It is still under warrenty so it is goeing back to Lenovo. Will not start fidling inside the laptop as long the warrenty is on. It is only 2 weeks ago I got It. 😞😓😩

Got black screen after bios update on S145, now after doing this the power light is blinking and doesn't matter what I do it keeps blinking with no image whatsoever. Changing the bios chip would fix this?

Sorry to bother you but I'm still having the black screen issue. This happened after I changed the storage space from a 1tb to 500 ram space. I would love to hear back from you
How did you fix it? I have the same issue. After replacing HDDS for SSD it kept reseting and then it just went black. The fan spins for 10s and then it stops. The screen is just black, however keyboard backlit works. Any idea?

Had this problem after a WINDOWS UPDATE! Makes sense it could have somehow changed the bios since it was from Win Updater.
Black screen but powers on, seemingly like the one in vid. However this does not help, assuming I am doing it right. Really baffled, doesnt seem to be a lose ribbon cable and external display doesnt show anything. This laptop actually plays new games smooth on lowest settings if the UDP is turned up and ram is increased +16gb. Its really amazing for $250 laptop that is years old!!

I added a 4GB RAM and A SSD to my Lenovo G50-70 and installed the old HDD to a HDD Caddy in the CD drive slot. After that the power is on but display remains black. Will it work in this case ?

what happens to me is that i turn the laptop (lenovo loq iprh8) on and the screen is black (fans are off i dont know if its on or off the system), ad after the reboot it works fine but i have to do it everytime
