    Tom, your weather seems a bit harsh. I get frustrated here in Southern Ontario Canada when the rain keeps us out of the field in the spring for a couple days/week. You seem to have that issue all the time... Keep up the good work, love your channel. And if you get the chance, buy a Maxxum. We bought a used 2015 115 and absolutely love it. Use it for all the small jobs like fertilizer spreading, mowing road ditches, hauling with our dump box, spreading cover crops.

But increasing one's debt is also bad for business..Farming is a tricky one,, its a way of life like no other.. But for future generations the farm has to survive, grow, become better,, not necessarily bigger... More efficient.. New ways of working.. Great video. 💯👌👍💯

    Go for the maxxum Tom, your face lights up when you talk about it! 😂 It looked like it fitted round your farm easily enough. We’ve gone from MF 5455 100hp to 6715S 150hp + boost. So much better on our mixer, and opens things up to getting bigger implements to, without having to worry about weight and power. Better to have power in reserve than not having enough. Be better suited to your tanker as well. You know it makes sense 😉

    Many things to think about and weigh up but the luxxum seems a better fit to you if specked right for you eg. Wider tyres engine HP etc, possibly look at adding a loader as back up for the manitou as it gets older, it’s also a nice size for around your yard and buildings and a little lighter on your land

    Tom just a suggestion I think for the pirce difference it would be worth going bigger and the power will be there for expanding ths farm and what about trying a new Holland T6 or something

    The Hoof gp drone footage is showing Scotland off as a fantastic tourist destination and you're making England look wet and miserable. Scottish tourism highly approves. Keep it up. Awesome

    doesn't matter which one you take. Jus make sure you have front and cab suspension. So important to have IMO. You'll regret it if you don't.

    Well if you would be planning on keeping it as long as you have the Hurlimann I think the 145 may be the better option, I know its a lot of money(probably surprised a few viewers) but as you and the Ginger warrior have said in the past implements are getting bigger and need more power to drive them, someone said earlier it wont be worked as hard doing the same job. Couple of grand a year over a 15 year lifespan? Plus your dad likes the low down grunt more!.

    Merch suggestion for next year: Pemberton Farm Calendar. Take stills from your videos from each month and make a calendar. Foxes Afloat offer a calendar so I thought might be something for you to offer later this year. Would make great holiday gifts.

    try the vestrum its a middle ground between the luxxum and the maxxum or basically just a cheaper maxxum with lower power

  • @reubenjackson7829
    @reubenjackson7829 Před 3 lety

    i would go with the maxxum as it has more horses meaning mowing would be quick and option to get another mower on the front. Also has the extra power for if you expand.

    I'd go for the 120 case we have a newholland t6030 120hp and she is the right size for us but all depends on the machinery your pulling but if you weren't gonna go for a case I would highly recommend trying newholland

  • @spiercephotography

    Power I think! It may be more expensive, but it'll pay for itself over time re: labor, less problems, etc. It's hard to decide though, because that money can go elsewhere! But if you're going to be spending more time to get it unstuck etc, your time is $$$

    • @eddlovatt
      @eddlovatt Před 3 lety

      You can just tell you preferred the maxxum aswell as it was just so much easier for the mowing, muck and slurry spreading and silage carting. Whereas with the luxxum it was lacking the extra grunt and power but the size is perfect for you as it’s smaller and compact but with yourself growing as a farm and getting more equipment maybe in the future you’ll need the extra power of the maxxum 🚜👍🏻

    @johncoakley4279 Před 3 lety

    Well Tom, go for 140hp mark, you have a large farm, as you saida front mower would double you're mowing output...less travelling on the ground also. Why not go for a Maxxum that's 2 or 3 years old, low hours , front links and PTO etc with wide tyres...price would be a lot less??
    Have u a New Holland dealer, try a demo from them maybe?
