Telling your Dad you broke a pipe when recording him for youtube, nice move that ;-)
Can’t shout at me on CZcams 😂
@@TomPembertonFarmLife tom tom tom tom what have you done
Omg that’s made my day 😂
Technically Tom did t break it, I suspect had Tom properly broken it, Dads reaction might of been slightly different😂
145 because if you ever expand you all ready have a bigger tractor
Love to see Tom with his Dad, every time I see them together I think Tom will one day in the future be exactly the same as his dad, he really looks a lot like his dad, great vid as always Tom keep it up
Thanks ☺️
@@TomPembertonFarmLife no thank you for bringing us fanastic content, after hearing you sing I do believe you picked the right career 😂
When is junior Tom going to come about though?? 👍😉 lol
Big Thanks to John, giving Tom the toys to play with.
Maxxummmmm!!! 😍😍😍
Always take the bigger one. It makes you think now but you won’t regret it afterwards.
I would go for the maxxum, or a demo deutz-fahr, mccormick
It's always better to have to much power than not enough !!
A small tractor can do small jobs but a big tractor can do the small jobs and the bigs one 😏
"Powerrrrrr"!!! Jeremy C.
I’m also a farmer keep up the good work tom
Hi Tom, which ever tractor 🚜 that you do decide to go for, it will most definitely be needed on your farm and yes 🙌 I know the weather’s not that good at the moment but you do have all your livestock to look after and feed and bed 🛌 down , but you are doing a great job 👏 so people like me can have our farm groceries as and when we need them and thanks again Tom and your father for all your hard work during this horrible period in history.
Thanks Jack 😊
Enjoying your videos and humor. My dad said always go for the power. 😀
Tom, your weather seems a bit harsh. I get frustrated here in Southern Ontario Canada when the rain keeps us out of the field in the spring for a couple days/week. You seem to have that issue all the time... Keep up the good work, love your channel. And if you get the chance, buy a Maxxum. We bought a used 2015 115 and absolutely love it. Use it for all the small jobs like fertilizer spreading, mowing road ditches, hauling with our dump box, spreading cover crops.
It good to see the difference in farming machinery that essentially looks exactly the same. The opinions of your dad vs yourself as well, very informative.
Enjoy the videos! Keep them coming great for educating young farmers.
case muxxum 145 you should go for. Because you want to keep the tractor for a long time so you need the extra power for there to be a balance of power to all the time when the farm is growing. Keep the great videos up!
I would go with the maxum because it would look class on the spreader
That changes noting
Looking good doesn’t matter at all, that is worthless advice from a townie who has a wrong idea of farming
It’s not about looks it’s about price and what fits your farm
Would look great but it’s going to do more than spreading I think 🙈
@@TomPembertonFarmLife yeah I know I just mean that the luxeum and the herlimen don’t look the right size on it and you can also do rapid mowing now you have the malone
Go for *POWER*
The farms only gonna get bigger, it’ll open the door to bigger machinery, also bigger tractor has less wear because it’s under worked.
Trade in one of the old Case’s for it.
Just a helpful tip but for getting that cover off the pit over the road. Get a piece of rebar or round stock steel bend a hook in one end and a t-handle on the other end. Saves your fingers
Love your singing..!!! 😂
Go for the Maxxum. More GRUNT..!!!
Big tractors can do big and small jobs, small tractors for big jobs no go.
With front PTO and the power, you can attach a front mower.
Big tractor and big tires for the big tanker = big smile on your face 😉
Price is a big thing, for a small farm, but your better set for expansion.
Happy farming..!! 😎👍
I'd suggest you to try out a Valtra. I think something like a N series would suit your farm really well! I think you will like it!
Much more expensive tho
Even the new g series would be ideal for what they want, and cheaper than the N series
Yes, Im for that. The love child of Volvo BM and Valmet
I’d stay away from European brands. Case IH, new Holland, or deere is the way to go
@@andrewstaerk2796 valtra are great
Go for the one with power, its always handy to have it when you really need it!
The case is very like our NH t5 105
I have the answer!🍀 Try the one in the middel, the Case vestrum!?🙊 Has a big cab and its very manoeuvrable. 🐄
Such a beautiful day weather wise for such a sad day. It is so cool that you got to use the two Case tractors. And you found good reasons why both would work on the Farm better or not so much. Basically it seems like you want the big wellies on whatever other tractor you get.
Watching this during your online classes 😂
Glad to say that it’s making the classes more bearable 😊
Weren't you watching other farm vids this morning?
@@feralcat07 yeah an my classes were on till 16:45 today as I’m a college student
You should demo a massey. Maby one of the new drop nose models or a new herliman to compare to you older one
new herliman
He's used to drive his brother in law's. There should be a video of him bringing in silege in it
@@conor7187 ye ik (it's his cousins) but I just think it would be cool for him to try one of the new ones
Just finished watching a vid of you Tom. Realized it was a commercial for EnviroSystems. Hope you were compensated when they used your footage.
I don’t get compensated 🙈 I use the product and like it. They said can we borrow the footage, I just say yeah.
Probably missed a trick but if it helps other farmers
Great video Tom, I would say the maxxum because this tractor is going to be with you for a while and you never know in the future you might start doing arable which includes more horsepower such as ploughing and maybe the luxxum won’t have that power to pull those machines.
Yes, our weather in Oregon, USA is very similar to yours!
My little boy laughed his head off when you started singing 🤣 he loves you 🥰
😊😊🙌🙌
I'm going to be unpopular here but you know what I really like your little Hurlimann tractor. It packs so much punch for its size and I bet it hardly owes you a penny. New kits great and all that but there's a lot to be said for some of these modern classics. Having said all that the maxxum was an absolute weapon
You could put the Herlimman on the feeder and have it retired slowly on small jobs and let the case take over on our farm we have a same on feeding and a new Holland t6 but the case we have is great for fert spreading mowing power harrowing etc
Hey tom keep the vids up love to see then
I love the case it looks like the perfect sized tractor for you. I would definitely make that your next big buy for the farm.
I do agree, it’s big enough. Wouldn’t need to go any bigger at all.
Nice tractor.
Go for Deere
@@TomPembertonFarmLife why don't you get a Deere?
@@TomPembertonFarmLife or a massey ferguson 6270 or 6290 great tracktors realy reliable. Ask farmerphill. Realy comfortable and not to many electronic parts great main tractor
@@TomPembertonFarmLife could get this tractor tuned up for a bit more grunt. All new tractors seem to be chocked up trying to meet the emissions regs.
I would get the luxum it runs your tanker well and it fits your machinery
Hi Tom, I noticed that you turned the Case on, then fired her up without waiting a few seconds for the ECU to settle. If I was to do that on my buses I drive, I would have no end of problems, engine management light, ABS light, air alarms etc. It's like a computer, it needs time to go through its starting programs, or you could end up with problems. I know we're all in a hurry to get going, but just 2 a second wait, could save a breakdown.
Hey mate,
No idea if it’s the same as a bus. I’ll keep it in mind though. Cheers UKbusman 😊
I love your honesty, craziness and good fun in your vids you have a wonderful personality which is only one of the reasons I watch you. One can really tell you love the farm!
Feel your pain with the rain only round corner from you hate the weather
Nice one go for power
Try a valtra A series or a G series you would love it for life. Also what a vid tom you do put a lot of effort into these! I hope to see you reach 400k by the end of the year.
Or n series
@@calumcampbell3173Ye maybe like a N163

Thanks for the uploads. I was raised in a farm and a couple of years ago, I moved to a big city and miss it! Stay safe.
You have a favourite pipe? Living the life... Living the Northern Life!
😂 my life has peaked 🙈
fabulous singing
Lake Pemberton definitely looks like a problem. Hopefully the field will dry out soon.
Oh, and you're right - when you do something wrong you should tell people. It always comes out eventually and you'll end up looking way better if they learn about if from you. Otherwise, it looks too much like lying. So, high five for Tom's integrity in this video! (Yet another reason I enjoy them so much.)
Good 😌 video Tom we have snow in Ayrshire Scotland 🏴 you will miss your case keep safe 👍👍👩🌾👩🌾🚜🚜🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧😷😷
At 11:50 I just burst out laughing, after admitting you'd run over the pipe, your father said "Good job it's not your favourite one." !!! So funny that you have a favourite pipe, Tom........
Speaking from experience working in a case dealership, i wouldn't bother with anything under a maxxum model you'll just end up with hassle, maybe go for a lower hp maxxum if the 145 is too much and spec it with manual spools for the ginger warrior
What goes wrong in them? Is it just farmers expecting too much from the tractor maybe
@@jerryodriscoll3691 they may be better now, but the Italian made tractors always had an issue, wether it was something picked up when being pdi'd or in the first couple of years of work, normally electrical gremlins, brake booster problems, notchy sticking linkage, having said that, the engines are very good if maintained properly.
The maxxums had one or two gearbox issues, but livestock farmers aren't always known for their mechanical sympathy 😉
@@ghost030475 quite surprised with that, maintenance always makes a massive difference, is it a bring it back to the dealer type thing if those go wrong or can those be fixed easily on the farm? we livestock farmers certainly aren't the easiest on machinery 😂
@@jerryodriscoll3691 initially everything was assessed on farm then go from there pending CNH warranty decision
Finished an exam and this video made my day instantly better😁
Thanks Tom for sharing your thoughts on the difference between the Maxxum and the Luxxum.
I’d see if you could get one with similar sizing but a bit more oomph. Extra power is less wear, but too much size could be an issue around your buildings and fields.
I had a maxxum 145 and now changed to a luxxum 120. The luxxum is a better loader tractor and for mowing and bailing I prefer the luxxum but certainly notice the difference when pulling my 14 tonne dump trailer
The Hurliman is an amazing tractor, the work she does would shame most other tractors on big farms😲 may I suggest you demo a Deutz Fahr or Valtra👍 both would be worthy of running alongside the Hurliman👍👍
Valtra👍
we have a 2013 Case Farmall 115u pro and a 2019 Case Maxxum 125 mc. love them both. farmall is a old luxxum in Norway
Hey Tom love ur videos I love case and massey ferguson tractors I have a case cx100 on the loader
Great vid Tom keep up the good work
Definitely go for the Maxxum even if it is a lower horse power.
" I am a loser but you're all here to watch" so hilarious 😆 keep on making great video! been watching you since 3 years. Greetings from Belgium
Bigger isn't necessarily better.. I agree with a comment about growing the farm, expanding is inevitable if you want to stay afloat.. You can't stay level, flat lining forever.. But increasing one's debt is also bad for business..Farming is a tricky one,, its a way of life like no other.. But for future generations the farm has to survive, grow, become better,, not necessarily bigger... More efficient.. New ways of working.. Great video. 💯👌👍💯
I’ve seen wet seasons here in Ontario Canada but nothing like what you’re getting there in England. At least you don’t have to deal with snow and everything frozen. Watched a comparison between 2 identical horsepower tractors one 4 cyl one 6 cyl the 6 cyl outperformed the 4cyl with more reserve power So a choice between a 100 hp tractor with a 4 cyl or 6 cyl I’d go with the 6cyl.
You could also go for a maxxum multicontroller or a vestrum the have the more torq u want.
Tom, I think the best choise is the Maxxum. It has a bit more hp than the luxxum. Of course is it way more expensive but some second hand low hours tractor can have some nice prices. Keep up coming the good uploads and do what you always do.
Another great honest video on a typical North West of England winters day 👍😁
I really like our McCormick xtx185 nice and heavy and plenty of power and pull
@ 8:08 2 days of rain, If it will make you feel any better, I got 2+ feet of snow here in NJ, USA.
It’s a buyers market out there Tom, you can get really good low houred second hand tractors for reasonable money if you shop around. As soon as a new machine is sold the depreciation on it is huge.
Try a kubota there decent and are cheap for what they are as we’ve got a M125Gx-IV and I love it. It would suit ur farm rlly well I think
Those tires you have hat on the 145 maxum, we hate on our 100 HP claas...
If I remember correctly you’re limited in manoeuvrability round your yard. So you can’t get a mahoosive beastie, something about 130/140 BHP might be the compromise but I’m sure you & Ginge will get the right thing 👍
Yeah, couldn’t go bigger than the maxxum. Would struggle a lot.
the Luxxum makes more sence on your farm now!
Just need a few more ponies / grunt
Definitely go for the 145 on some proper tyres. That Luxom isn’t powerful enough and is to big for proper yard work. I’d get the 145 and beef the hurliman up as much as possible! Great video Tom.
The 145 had good tyres, the luxxum has more than enough power for what they need, the luxxum is smaller than the maxxum aswell so better for yard work
Tom why don't you buy a second hand case puma or new holland t7(they are virtually the same tractor) from 2015 or so and with about 3 to 4 thousand hours it will cost 45000 pound and it will be the same to drive as your maxxum as long as you get the cvx transmission
I really thought the I’ve done something dad bit was going to be Tom saying he has brought the case. I love that you had the Hurleyman at the end I could just imagine it saying go on get off my land to the case
i hereby proclaim that puddle, lake Pemberton. a fine name i think.
Go for the maxxum Tom, your face lights up when you talk about it! 😂 It looked like it fitted round your farm easily enough. We’ve gone from MF 5455 100hp to 6715S 150hp + boost. So much better on our mixer, and opens things up to getting bigger implements to, without having to worry about weight and power. Better to have power in reserve than not having enough. Be better suited to your tanker as well. You know it makes sense 😉
Good morning everyone from wellington Somerset
Hi Tom love the case by the way
Many things to think about and weigh up but the luxxum seems a better fit to you if specked right for you eg. Wider tyres engine HP etc, possibly look at adding a loader as back up for the manitou as it gets older, it’s also a nice size for around your yard and buildings and a little lighter on your land
Never be afraid to buy the best, you will always be happy with it.
Tom just a suggestion I think for the pirce difference it would be worth going bigger and the power will be there for expanding ths farm and what about trying a new Holland T6 or something
The Hoof gp drone footage is showing Scotland off as a fantastic tourist destination and you're making England look wet and miserable. Scottish tourism highly approves. Keep it up. Awesome
doesn't matter which one you take. Jus make sure you have front and cab suspension. So important to have IMO. You'll regret it if you don't.
Excellent video Tom are you going to try a Vestrum as it is a balance between the 2
Well if you would be planning on keeping it as long as you have the Hurlimann I think the 145 may be the better option, I know its a lot of money(probably surprised a few viewers) but as you and the Ginger warrior have said in the past implements are getting bigger and need more power to drive them, someone said earlier it wont be worked as hard doing the same job. Couple of grand a year over a 15 year lifespan? Plus your dad likes the low down grunt more!.
Power!!!! You can never have enough...
Tom the maximum 6 cylinder 150 Is a much better tractor than the 145 4 cylinder😉
We're do you get your merch. You should try a Massey 698
Love the jacket!
Are u going to play farming sim when ur map gets released
Brilliant video Tom, thank you!
Merch suggestion for next year: Pemberton Farm Calendar. Take stills from your videos from each month and make a calendar. Foxes Afloat offer a calendar so I thought might be something for you to offer later this year. Would make great holiday gifts.
Great idea 😊
try the vestrum its a middle ground between the luxxum and the maxxum or basically just a cheaper maxxum with lower power
i would go with the maxxum as it has more horses meaning mowing would be quick and option to get another mower on the front. Also has the extra power for if you expand.
I'd go for the 120 case we have a newholland t6030 120hp and she is the right size for us but all depends on the machinery your pulling but if you weren't gonna go for a case I would highly recommend trying newholland
Power I think! It may be more expensive, but it'll pay for itself over time re: labor, less problems, etc. It's hard to decide though, because that money can go elsewhere! But if you're going to be spending more time to get it unstuck etc, your time is $$$
Maybe see if you can demo a UNIMOG with farm attachments. That would be cool to see.
Should give a zero fortera a shot. Power and price if you’ve a dealer that’s handy. Great video
Sorry, meant zetor
Great video Tom.
Great video again Tom, for me the case maxxum anyday makes life so much easier 🚜👍🏻
You can just tell you preferred the maxxum aswell as it was just so much easier for the mowing, muck and slurry spreading and silage carting. Whereas with the luxxum it was lacking the extra grunt and power but the size is perfect for you as it’s smaller and compact but with yourself growing as a farm and getting more equipment maybe in the future you’ll need the extra power of the maxxum 🚜👍🏻
I just noticed today that the UK canal river and trust online map has the farm store marked as an area business to the canal network . I thought that was pretty cool to find you on their map.
Well Tom, go for 140hp mark, you have a large farm, as you saida front mower would double you're mowing output...less travelling on the ground also. Why not go for a Maxxum that's 2 or 3 years old, low hours , front links and PTO etc with wide tyres...price would be a lot less??
Have u a New Holland dealer, try a demo from them maybe?
Hi Tom
Definitely blouson jackets like yours
Black and navy for work then olive for smart omg amazing please please
