Here's my new guitar playthrough🎸
One day I wanted to learn some my favorite solos by Yngwie Malmsteen. One those was "Fire", from his album 'Trilogy", 1986.
But I like this song so much so I decided to learn this song completely.
Instead of words, I played a vocal melody on the guitar. Do you know what it's
called?
Before the live recording I restringed my guitar with D'Addario NYXL0946
Guitar: Fender Squier Affinity Strat
Amp: Fender Mustang (V2) - Hudba
I'm dying laughing at his interactions with the camera. This kid's personality is as entertaining as his playing is jaw-dropping!

He may already be - or is certainly on his way to being - the most technically skilled and flawless rock/metal guitarist in the world. I really hope he gets the worldwide recognition he deserves. Bravo Max!!
The only problem is that rock is dead just turn on the radio, Nobody makes money anymore no matter how good you play

If the most technically conscious and proficient violist recorded his seldomly heard masterpiece today, the (probable) AI and the (potential) aliens would still know that we were wrong to not have listened, and CZcams was wrong to have not recommended that we do so.
I don’t see anybody surpassing Michael Angelo Batio (I think that’s his name) at least in technical proficiency

Great strat sound. Dry, raspy and yet lustrous. Not just the pickups and strings but your picking that's the key, I'm sure. You're awesome!
P.H.E.N.O.M.E.N.A.L...Played flawlessly, even easily! I particularly liked the fact that Max switches pickups constantly, like Yngwie, during phrases, passages, even mid solo.

This was my favourite solo back in the days when I was addicted to learning Yngwie and I'm glad he played it as it was recorded, as for me this was one of Yngwie's most tasteful solos where he didn't ridiculously over play
You are awesome. The young Yngwie (from Alcatrazz to Trilogy) before he has that bad car accident was a force of nature and still unbeatable nowadays. You were capable of capturing his vibe
This young man should be on the G3 tour.
I really think he is already better than all of those that were on the G3 thus far...

From your statement, I can understand that you agree with me, besides Max being better than John Petrucci...
Considering that Max was born in 2004, and considering that he can play very complex pieces from basically the greatest Guitar players that we all know without any effort, I really believe that, perhaps he is not better than Petrucci, but he is already at his level.
Now....I listen to Dream Theater since 1989, and I know you will agree with me, that out dear John is not as good now, as he was on "awake" or "scenes from a Memory".
That being said...have you listen to some of short Max compositions?
They are amazing, plenty of different styles, plus his unique touch.
All of this at 26 years old.
If we honest and not bias, only two Guitarists from the past come to mind with this much talent, and those are Shawn Lane (untouchable) and the unique Jason Becker.
The first sadly died to soon, and about the second one....well....only God knows what Jason could do now if he was still able to touch that Carvin.
But I really think that would be another dimension of playing Guitar.
I have so many Guitarists in my personal list of favorite, I am not closed minded trust me, but the greatest being (in my opinion) Andres Segovja, right after him there are Shawn Lane, Jason Becker, now, Max Ostro, Paul Gilbert, BUCKETHEAD, Yngwie J Malmsteen, John Petrucci.......and so on.
But at the end of this story, each one of us has his own opinion, and I firmly respect that.

Nailed it! The solo was pretty flawless. This kid is one of the best guitarists on CZcams. Props! I can only imagine the hours he must put into practice.
He said in an interview a few days ago that he is 17, has been playing for 4 years and practice 12-14 per day.
@@vladavasiljev Hard to believe it's only been 4 years. But 12-14 hours a day isn't. It shows! Thanks for the info.
@@chrisb2535 I was stunned also. I'm from Serbia and interview is in Russian, so I'm pretty sure I understood correctly. Anyway, last year The Guitar World magazine elected Serbian guitar player Igor Paspalj as the best electric guitar player in the world, and he said he used to practice 8-10 hours per day first 10 yrs 'till he learned to play properly'...he added also that he thinks that talent is only 5%, the rest is practice. Check him out, amazing technique, especially the right hand.
..And at the end, it comes up that he's still only 14 yrs old..!!

I've been watching different guitar players on CZcams for about 3 years now. It was only a week or two ago that CZcams started recommending Max. what took you so long CZcams? This kid's on fire at his age. Reminds me of Jason Becker in that sense.

Anything Max does sounds masterful. Flawless........ Yet he says the hard work pays off .........no shite there....... Truly as a player myself he certainly joins my top 5 of all time and I'm 56 years old . I never tire of his expertise and style but his quirkiness puts it over the top. World class MAX OSTRO. For sure one of the best guitar players in the world. The skill he has is remarkable
In 1986 I visited my cousin in the big city. He showed me his guitar, played a little, then played Trilogy for me. He made a copy for me and I listened to it all the way home on my walkman over and over (5 hour drive). The next day I went to the record store and bought every YJM album they had. Great playing, Max! I'm still playing rudimentary blues but maybe one day I'll work on my fast arpeggios. :)
