Oh wow Pastor John I too had something like you and feel very dispared and I’m glad you told your personal story this is melting me Bc my husband and I know you well enough to know your very personal when comes to your life ,but as I too needed to hear this only to know after two open heart surgeries and then second stage Cervical cancer center in the Mission

After the recent announcement that the Assemblies of God were no longer speaking in other tongues...the initial evidence of being Baptized in the Holy Spirit, I was glad to hear that this pastor is getting back to the essentials!!!
May many receive the Holy Spirit and the church be revived !!!

Many people say the Thief on the Cross next to Jesus was not Baptized in water in Jesus Name yet Jesus told him he would be with Him that day in Paradise. When the thief was on the cross (Matthew 27:38, Luke 23:39, Mark 15:27-43) Jesus had not yet given the COMMANDMENT to be baptized in his NAME. Jesus said in Mark 16:16, "He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be Saved, he that believes not shall be damned." At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19, "Go therefore go and teach all nations BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not names) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Jesus disciples never used those words when they baptized anyone in water, nor did they use those words in one sentence regarding any other topic. Every time Jesus disciples baptized any one in water they invoked Jesus Name at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 22:16 Paul's Baptism).
Jesus did not give the COMMANDMENT to be baptized in his Name until later after he rose from the dead and just before he ascended into heaven. The thief or anyone else at that time could not have been baptized in Jesus Name because they did not know about it.
