Nice, thank you! Which shim is the check plate on top of the gold valve, the one which has to move freely? The bags o washers does not specify. The original check shim seems too big to use on the gold valve.

Thanks Robb! The check plate SHOULD come in a separate sealed bag with the spring and also the top nut on some models. Maybe loctite too?

@@mxgryan Hey I figured it out. They have the bigger ID, and are thicker, too.

I have another gold valve question. Let's see if you can beat the thumpertalk forum, or my querie to Louis at racetech, and give an answer! In assembling my rebound valve, I stacked onto the damper rod the base plate, the washer sleeve, the spring, the check plate, the piston, then the stack going from the bigger .17mm washers/shims to the smaller ones then the nyloc nut. I can't really make out tin he instructions I've found, the threads, and videos, for the CRF250L rebound valve, what exact order to arrange it all. There's plenty of pics, step by steps on the compression valve, but not the rebound. The DVS from racetech lists in same order as compression valve, but I believe the stack would sort of be the inverse of the compression. I haven't torqued the nyloc yet because I really want to find out if I should put a larger "spacing" shim between the outermost (smallest for me) shim and the nut. Pics in forums are inconclusive, and I don't think you HAVE to add spacers if the stack allows for the proper torque to be achieved. I added two to my compression valve, some folks don't need any. Anyhoo, thanks for any insights!
