Great video. I have a question if the combine fills up with the pipe over the unharvested section of the field how do you unload the combine on the move?
Good question! We try to plan it out so that doesn’t happen. In the case that it does we just stop and turn around to dump in the cart.
I can smell the grain dust from here … makes me miss living on the farm.
I’m allergic to grain dust so that part is not so great.
@@RockyMountainFarmer lol I hear you … I’m allergic to anything made from wheat or wheat derivatives. But I’m still going to have some toast and butter every now and then.
@@maryduff8831 yeah it’s weird I’m not allergic to wheat just the dust from harvest.
Is that a 4-wheel-drive combine?
It’s only 2 wheel drive
Great video!! What was your yield?? Love that red equipment!! You need a CaseIH 9250 and a CaseIH quad track 715!!
We got 120 bushels per acre.
@@RockyMountainFarmer what type of irrigation system do you use or are you dry land on that side of the state?
@@maryduff8831 we use a mix of hand lines and pivots. We don’t get enough rain to be able to dry farm.
What causes the grain to be down only in sporadic spots?
It’s the wind
