I'm pleased that you have made the time to have a break and spend one on one time with Charlotte - wish more farmers would remember to recharge both physically and mentally. Work can consume your life; however, you can never get back the time to foster your relationships = 70% at best

This time last year there was plenty of combines rolling in the winter barley fields near me. About a week ten days behind this year lads have only started spraying it off over the past weekend. And the forecast is desperate for the next ten days

Family First Olly, no ifs ands or buts. They are the reason you do what you do! You can't burn the candle at both ends and that includes mental burn out. Love the little tease about the replacement tractor, I'm not going to guess because I have no idea what sort of package you have got with whatever dealer. Enough to say you are savvy enough for it to be worth your while, but the anticipation is killing me. I'm 90% today. 🤔👍🤣.

I think it was probably where morgan had the g clamps positioned that threw your eye measurements off and made it look odd.

Hey Olly, the stubble fields will be rye stubble at a guess which will of been wholecropped and cropped for a ad plant at a guess fella. Some have been done here in notts for that reason.

All 5 of our bale spikes the spikes fold up, then in the field if you want it has a pin hole for a pin to lock in place but we just use it without as safety wise having them fold up is better!

Up to 70% today from 50 yesterday. Young lads operation went well today. Touch wood recovering well but next 48 hrs will see how he goes. Have to take it as it comes. The videos were great throw backs are claas. Even to take the time to do that on your holiday is greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do for everyone.

Made folding bale spike few years ago put hydraulic ram on it as if u have tines floating then bales are sticking when pulling back out tried it so need to fix them down
In Ontario we would call the phantom grain loss “shrink” and the grain companies charge for it

A lot of rye is grown round us for digester’s. They have been cutting it now and I assume it will leave a stubble like you have seen
You’ve certainly got a first class team around you which is half the battle in farming!

90% today. On with our drainage project, clay pots are too blocked to jet so I've dug and cleaned the pot tops and I'm lifting and clearing as many pots as possible. Big job but should feel some benefit when it rains.

Olly, when you are doing your calculations to dry weight. on the OSR or Grain you dry, do you allow for a dust loss, when I used to do all the calculations for 44,000 ton of drying i used to allow for 0.8% of dust lost and I never in 32 years was ever short of grain always a surplace. thank you for the great daily videos, keep it up.

It’s a strange on really as tomorrow marks my 10th anniversary of surgery for testicular cancer and being cancer free.
