So today, I focus on creating a patch mockup design in photoshop. Basically because it's getting colder outside, fashion designing requires you to shift from making t shirts to making long sleeve shirts. These long sleeve shirts will help grow your business. Now in this instance, you want to be able to make a realistic embroidered patch. This is something you can send off to a embroiderer to get stitched. No matter if its a logo or just a patch, you want to have a mockup ready for them for free. Now I give this PSD file out to my patreon subscribers. The art used in this comes from Converse and Lincoln University ( commonly known as LU or LU1866) and my vector Lips graphic. Are you ready for the fall and winter?

Why can I not find the stitch texture? I just signed up and all there is is the mockup.
@airbrushingbyericka send me a message there and I’ll send it - but if you’re a free member you don’t get it unfortunately 😮💨💨
@@RobertLoyale well that explains it then lol I am a free member
Is that texture still available, and if so, just have to join to get the download for it?
Great tutorial and I like the pace. You got right to the point, made it very clear, and kept the commentary to the beginning and end of the video. This was, by far, one of the easiest tutorials to follow without getting lost.

Dope dope tutorial! Imma dive deep in to this to find out about the 'why' of each step. Oh and; you've definitely got a point that a designer should be able to make his own mockups. Big ups for that
Pretty sure when we hire that embroider, he/she will be thrilled to use this. Really awesome!
Really helpful. I appreciate this. I don't normally watch help videos on CZcams because they are NOT helpful. This was great. I'll be back for more
Brilliant. U will be using this on my mock-ups for teeVillain tonight a 12am EST. Thanks for the tip AND the pattern!
Love the energy. It was fast, which was good for me to get a feel for what I'm heading into. It would've been a huge waste of time if this wasn't what I was looking for in the end. Now that it is, I can switch the playback settings to slow it down and follow along.
The tongue and lips patch is dope. Good job.
Dude this is so good, holy shit. The end result looks fantastic and it's something I never would've been able to do without a tutorial. You're not too fast by the way, your speed is great.
thanks so much for this video! helped a lot and easy to follow
thank you so much! i didn't have that stitch patter but i used another one and it loos close
i was kinda looking for a video about the process of designing a patch, but this is a really good vid. I'm gonna do my embroidering by hand tho, make a store maybe, selling hand-sewn patches.
Thank you so much! This tutorial literally saved me, haha.
Amazing tutorial! Thank you so much!
Beautiful tuto!!!
Dude! thank you so much, the result it's dope lml
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Loooove!! Thanks so much! Best tutorial so far!
Great tutorial! You went very fast, but I was able to pause and work my way through. I was hoping to find a tutorial that would help me make the patch look like the embroidery was done with different thicknesses as you would see in a boy scout uniform patch. I took my original file and separated out the various parts of the pattern. I used the emboss feature to emboss the source image. The result was a patch mockup that had substantially more of a 3D feel. I wouldn't have gotten even close, though without your help! Thanks!
This is an incredible tutorial and it helped me with an important project, so thank you very much. I am always stunned at the complexity of Photoshop and how people can even figure this stuff out. P.S. If your friends don't refer to you as "Loyale with Chese," like in "Pulp Fiction," I'm going to be disappointed.
Thank you so much! Exactly what I needed
Thank you!!! Loved your tutorial!
This is awesome man. Kudos, and thank you.
This is awesome, thank you!
Bro youre talented but SLOW DOWN!
I actually enjoyed the rapidity of this video, normally I get annoyed with super slow tutorials :D
setting > playback setting > your choice SOLVED!!!
So awesome man good stuff
My man this was so helpful keep making more vids pls
UNREAL, Thank you for this!
Great tutorial, 100% helped me to make my patches look more realistic for my mods
Stalker anomaly?
Yo thankyou so much for this!
Great tutorial, First time coming across your videos and you better believe I hit that subscribe!
I was looking for this kind of tutorial my whole life! Thanks mate ;)
+Paweł Wojtiuk No problem!!
thank you! I downloaded the mock up and it worked for me :-D
Honest to god, best tutorial I've seen jet. And it helped me out loads to wip up some realistic designs for my clothing brand. You know due to this whole coronavirus situation smaples are difficult to obtain
Honestly, this lesson really helped me complete my design as a patch! Thank you, I will be sharing this with my GD teacher and easy to follow. (Ps- I ended up using my own pattern last minute but it gave the same effect, I believe)! :)
THANK YOU!
thank you brother!
so cool!
Very Dope tutorial...Really appreciate your work!
+Kristoff Hermitt thanks!
Tutorial like a Boss bro, thanks!!
Finally a tutorial I can use without having to pay $ 10. Thanks!
Good stuff!
This is a great video man I’ve been wanting to make my own packs but I don’t have time to make them. Where do I go or who do I talk to about making my patches? I don’t want to make multiple of one patch; I just want to make one of many to see what I like. I would really appreciate if anyone had any info. Thanks!!
OMG Game Changer! Thank you bruv!
Awesome tutorial, but what are you clicking that is covered by the ad around the 2:30ish area to 'close down this layer' after the ctrl-s?
Dope!!
I can use a drawing in from photoshop or does it have to be a line/shapefile from illustrator, or i can use photoshop drawing i would just have to separate the colors
I had to put the top layer in overlay with transparency, I couldn´t get the effect if didn´t do this
Have you come up with a workflow that does the 3d PVC type patches?
The quality of this was amazing and I was expecting you to have 10X the amount of views...Keep at it man.
+Tylor Wright thanks. I'm actually producing more. So be on the lookout. #Loyalty

Do u have any videos for making designs for laser engraving and cutting?
Dope
im on a Microsoft. I am currently lost on how to place the effected embroidery to the patch or in my case a logo I made from illustrator.
is there a way to make the black parts to stand out more? Feels that u dont see the texture on black.
Otherwise superb tutorial and awesome work!
lower the black layers opacity
this is cool and helpful but is there a point where you created that texture? I got to minute 3:10 and had to drop out as I don't have the texture?
Bro I’m here trying to learn to make patches for some i. game content feel like nerd rn but I’m really interested in this
In due time. I promise.
Great turtrial!! this really helped me because I like to learn things on my own. One question though, @ 2:30 seconds when you say " close this layer dow : what does that mean? What did you push because your screen recording title is in the way of the top of the tools bar.
Right
Two years late, but hey ho, he basically means just save it by pressing CTRL+S and then press CTRL+W to get back to the other project :)
Thank you.
why when i save it the texture looks odd? or when i try other ways there is no patch texture.
Anyone can help with that
Hey I’m having a severe problem with this. I can’t get past 2:17 because when I put my logo in it just doesn’t show up on the file besides in the layer thumbnails. Anyone else having this problem?
You rule dude
I tried clicking on the link how to create a logo and it’s not working. Also I am trying to learn how to create my own patches to put on clothing. Do I have to download a photo shop program onto my computer or a app on my phone ? If so what is the name of the actual photo shop program. Also do I need a specific machine to print the patches out ? Do you iron them on the clothes etc... ???
How did you get it to link the layers or whatever you call it so U can bring another logo in without going through the steps I must have missed something lol
So I when I get to the point where you select the texture the stich one is not showing up, what can I do?
Same thing is happening for me. This video is quite old so I don't expect a response from anybody but it would be nice to know what you did to get the same effect.
Oh I’m sorry I didn’t answer this. I actually put the stitch texture on patreon. You’ll have to download it. There is a way to make textures. I’ll provide that video soon.
@@RobertLoyale hey robert i can't really open it throught the link you provided, to add a pattern it needs to be on .Asl format
what about if your doing a one color ?
How can youre background still be white when fill is 0% on all layers?
🔥🔥🔥
where do i get stich 5
Hello, love your tutorial, can you tell me what happened to your website where is your custom stitch pattern ?
Hey! It’s listed on Patreon alongside 100+ mock-ups. Check it out.
www.patreon.com/posts/65007041
when I try to do the step at (2:08) in the video it doesn't allow me to open it like that?
can i do it with another programs
What if I do not have stitch 5 as one of my patterns? BTW the I loved the video thank you
Idk 😂 im going to come up with something soon in the lab.
u go so fast omg
Hey Robert, How do I get your smart object embroidered patch badge mockup.
I recently became a patreon subscriber.
This is time consuming but the outcome is awesome! So stick with the tutorial!
lol Yeah I suggest people just download it but if you ever wanted to know how it was made and how it works...this is best. #TheProcess
how did you do that 2:07
the video is glitching. I tried reloading it couple of times
Does this save as a pes file?
what software do you use?
What size was your image? I tried to follow exactly but mine was distorted.
I think I did it on a 1920 x 1080...If you are having distortion that's actually normal. Its the image processing. When its smaller it looks a little weird or as if the image itself doesn't have the effects on it.
Cool tutorial but I had one issue. When I placed my image in the drop folder and saved. The image is transparent. What did I do wrong?
The image or the patch? You should be using the smart objects. If you need my file, I included it in the description.
Robert Loyale the patch.
Yes there shouldn’t be a background under the patch. However, in the file I uploaded for download, there is a unique shadow and background.
How do you get stitch 5, my photoshop does not have that preset, it is 2018 ps
+george burns i packaged the the tutorial out for download. The texture and the mock-up patch is $4.99. Link in the description
i dont get the effect u got. i think its because i didnt have stiching 5.
I had the same issue but the pattern is actually linked in the description for you to download!
Robert loyale keep it up 😊😊
Thanks! I definitely will.
Your custom stitch pattern that you use for texture at 3:14 where can I download that? I clicked the link in your caption but it brings me to a page that I need to request access for. Love this video btw! So helpful.

@@RobertLoyale your link doesn't work :(
Try this one www.patreon.com/posts/65007041
Hey, I purchased and became a member and still cannot access. Can you please assist?
instructional video with scrolling graphics blocking icons that are clicked. but why tho
I cant figure out why my final product is so blurry
every time i try to add my logo into the mockup it keeps kicking me back out and i keep seeing that smiling taco
I bought the thing, but the download link does not download anything. Let me know, and thanks,
+Juan Pablo Pemberty Jiménez just emailed you. Let me know if it comes through. Shopify has been acting crazy. smh...
Search for delivery@shopify.com
how come my photoshop doesn't have the stitch 5 pattern?
Don’t know but you can get mines and all others from my Patreon. www.patreon.com/posts/65007041
I don't know what you did at 2:08 I don't get that embedded profile mismatch window when I click on Drop. I'm on Windows as well. 5 MIN later Nevermind on PC you just double click the white window.
Remix coming real soon but you still won’t be able to make it - you’re missing the texture to complete it.
@@RobertLoyale Yeah I used one called Weave 2 and It will work for my use. Thanks for the how to for sure tho. You can see what i made by clicking my little logo. That was the reason I was looking for a How to :)
Where did you get that texture Stitch 5?
It's on my patreon where I upload everything that I create on the channel. Consider subscribing and picking up the best of the best mockups for your projects - made by the best of the best mockup designers - for the best of the best brands

Do you know why I wouldn't have stitch pattern 5 in my photo shop textures?
It’s not standard.
@@RobertLoyale any way you can help me get it or tell me where to download it from
I sell it
You can get it from store29952091.company.site/Embroidered-Patch-Mockup-with-Stitch-Texture-Attached-p201137121
It won't let me buy the pattern online, always says I live to far for postage?
But I'm pretty sure you don't need to post anything anyway?
What do you mean
@@RobertLoyale For some reason when I try to buy the pack it makes me put my address in and then says it can't ship to my location.
I even tried an address on Florida and Texas, but the same thing.

Mr Robert,
I can't download the custom stitch from the link above, why?
Actually, I updated the link a few months ago. It’s only offered on Patreon (distribution is better from there and it’s cheaper on Patreon...).
Ok Mr, thank you so much. Great video!
No problem. Sub for more... www.patreon.com/posts/27917767
Can I send my Logo to you and get an realistic embroidered patch badge. How much it will cost?
