I tried those hand warmers (£1 a pair from Home Bargains) in my shoes and gloves the other freezing day. 10 hours the heat lasts for. For the first time...ever.... I had warm, toasty feet all the way around. I couldn't ride that exposure in the snow clipped in. Great episode.
@@scoobgirl i know what you mean, I had that trouble...but...I put them on the top of my feet and pushed them as far as they'd go and loosened my laces a wee bit. Guess what? The heat warmed up my whole feet. It's all in not having the shoes done tight, the looser the better so thin socks work best. Also, sorry to go on a bit....but...since I've switched from my clipless shoes to 5 Ten Freerider Stealth rubber flat soles and flat pedals the cold isn't transferring through the shoe via the cleat. It really is worth trying. Good luck.
thats made me want to go out and ride ! looked a bit arse nipping on that snow covered cambered crossing "DON"T LOOK DOWN" ! Jim your ride out vlogs are so much better than others out there , really enjoy the commentaries and stories as you ride
Nice one ! Never attempted the Mast to World's End run in winter but might try it the weekend. Instead of dropping down the scree trail there's a high line across the open moorland that then runs downhill across the top of the cliffs to it's end, then a steep switchback decent to the road. Super fast with zero ruts and a few more bomb holes . Well worth a check out on a big day out. Cheers !
Good effort in those conditions and as per usual, really entertaining. I’ve had this loop on my radar for a while; think I’ll be giving it a go soon (basically as soon as I can persuade someone else to come along, in case I fall off that cliff!!)
love these idiots guides , made me feel cold just watching , think i will wait till the weather warms up a bit before riding that trail . keep it pinned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha that boardwalk from Llandegla in the dry is mint. Probably one of my favourite trail ever. And theres another trail on the other side of the road go across abba flat is super cool too.
Wicked trails there but Fook me that path looked narrow and that drop looked scary, got to have big balls to ride that in the snow dude, hat of to all you for that but deffo had me wincing at times, I thought the peaks we're naughty at the weekend with the snow but shit me that looked a lot worse...😲😲
PS: we are using Endura MT500 over shoes for flats , totally dry, warm and very secure feeling on the bike in terrible conditions , best £40 spent this winter
Great vid mate, new strava follower aswell, Danny M,, ive been having trouble with cold and numb feet and its really the only downfall im having at the moment , I don't know if its because im riding clipless with shimano shoes, just not sure if its because there not broad fitting or lack of toe movement blood flow And also haven't tried thermal socks yet either in case that makes the shoe even tighter I noticed someone in the comments said hand warmers ive got some to try thanks to the mrs. Anyway keep up the good work,

I tried them yesterday but I couldn't get them near the front of my toes so they were no good for me,, time to try thermal socks out :-)

Sat on the left of my chair just watching that drop to the right, good stuff though :) but think will wait for the more grippy weather ….
The masts is a great route, bit shorter than worlds end, but great if you’re in a rush!
My son and I have done the same ride but the opposite way round, funnily enough we did the ride in the snow this time last year.
Love a bit of Snow!
Bangin mate looked good fun ride all seasons 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Good video again Jim, loved it. Just wondering if them gloves kept u warm and dry? Would u recommend?
Cold thumbs for a bit, but in general, very impressive

Worlds end is a classic! Fair play in the snow. Roy passed me on the 3 mile climb! (Fair Play). Keep it pinned!!
World's end is the trail below where we rode Shale Run. That's proper sensitive, so we left it out!

It's a great route around there & fair play to Roy no e/bike at 69 👍

Jesus you boys are keen, fair play to you all 👍
Sweet. But I think I will give it ago in the summer
Is it weird I kinda liked the squealing brake noise, when everyone’s were going it sounded like an old champions league game was coming on the tele.
Superb vid
Hate being close to the edge 🙈🙈🙈
Looks like coinys got competition for the loves the camera in my face spot.
😂😂😂
