Second of all, hyper sonic never got "banned". It was way too much power for anyone to hold so knuckles put the super emeralds in another dimension which nobody could enter not even himself
Third thing, the Archie comics are not canon to the mainline games in which modern sonic is in. However, the IDW comics are canon to the mainline games in which modern sonic is in
