I was also frustrated with how messy the sauce packet of pancit canton, one good way to solve it is by putting it in the freezer before you boil the water, although the soy sauce won't freeze that quick due to the high salt content, but at least its manageable unlike the oil.
Try cutting a corner off instead of slicing in the middle.

The oil is just oil. The flavour is in the powder. Unless it's chilly flavoured one, the oil is different because chili oil is a staple of philippine dish. We put it in toyo with siomai or with patis in tinola, its like an addition flavour 👍

The calamansi flavor isn't in the oil. That's sesame oil. The calamansi flavor is in the powder.

Pancit Canton now is not the same as it used to be back when it's always my breakfast before going to school. Now I rarely eat this kind of stuff but when I do I put at least 2 calamansi on it, try it.

That's Filipino way. We eat them with rice and poached egg. Sometimes we put 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of soy sauce/ or oyster sauce and we mix it in the pancit canton sauce. We love to eat this when rainy season.

About the Pancit Canton,I don't think the Oil has calamansi in it.Most of the Flavor come from the Flavor Packets. The reason why you taste more Calamansi when you add in the Oil is that Oil or any Fat enhances flavors, which is why some dishes want to simmer herbs im Oil or Fat before frying or searing. That's what others do in steaks like adding herbs together with butter.
Good logic, girls! The oil is mixed with calamansi flavor.
Actually the flavors are either mixed in the soy sauce or the powder mix, the clear yellow one is only oil, probably with a little sesame oil, but it's necessary to mix everything or you won't get the right taste. Maybe you can use only half of the powder in foil sachet to lessen the kalamansi. Enjoy!

Off topic. Kudos to all workers who worked under Monde Nissin especially the Noodle section. I was actually a former worker there. We usually worked 12hrs everyday and sometimes we do not have day off. It was tiring but I had fun while working with my co-workers and I'm glad a lot of people are enjoying the product.

Hello Jessica hope you see this... the yellow one in all pancit canton is not a added flavor or what.. the yellow one is just oil and the black one is the soy sauce, the one that added more flavor on the pancit canton is the silver packet, hope this help. 😊😊😊😊

The yellow thing in the packet is actually just the oil. The flavor is all in the seasoning packet.
Also, the alert levels in PH is actually going down so it might open its borders to tourists again maybe next month or early next year.
