We never know what struggles, or opportunities that show up, that would become part of Taya's decision. We still sing Hillsong's music in our Church, and will continue to do so, despite some critics out there that have said some not so nice things about Hillsong. I may not agree with everything they believe about politics and what not, but this group has blessed billions of people around the world by their music!

It would seem that most people think Taya should remain in that position for life. Reality says that things change over time and people come and go. No doubt there are other people in Hillsong who are just as talented as Taya and who will be prominent in the ministry. Surely Taya has the right to have a life.

It looks like Brooke will likely leave as well. Her solo music has taken off and I don't she will be able to combine that with Hillsong especially when she starts touring as a solo artist. She will probably end up being a Guest Worship Leader.

If you want to know the REAL reason she left that "church" just study the evolution of her hair and hair styles. People that know what that means will agree with me because it's undeniably true. I will only say the same thing happened to Rose McGowan, Katy Perry, Grace Vanderwaal, and Britney Spears. Do your own research!

It can be about branding herself, yes. But, in the entertainment industry there is a secret code for when a woman is violated by their bosses that they color their hair blonde and cut it VERY short to tell others without saying a word what is going on!

I don't think you can judge someone solely based on the length of their hair. You won't find that anywhere in the Bible except for where it says in 1st Corinthians 11:15, "But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." That "But" and "If" at the beginning of that verse leads me to believe that women having short hair is not a sin either. Taya's always had short hair, even before being a member of Hillsong. There for a while, young girls were getting GI-type haircuts to resemble Charlize Theron's character, Furiosa, from the last Mad Max movie because they saw her as a strong female role-model. The best thing I can say to anyone on this forum, if you have worries or concerns about Taya, then pray for her instead of spreading rumors about her.
