- Here is the Gerber Lockdown Slim Pry Multi-tool. Its listed as 7 tools. Its not a perfect tool, but it has potential. Maybe with some modification, it can be a wonderful tool. The biggest issue I have with it are the liner locks, they are extremely stiff, and there is not enough room to effectively get them to unlock without using another tool. #gerbergear @Gerbergear #EDC, #everydaycarry

I’m had my unit for over 3 months now and it’s become my daily carry. Love how slim it is and I find myself using the knife scissors and pry bar constantly. I use the pry bar to remove staples from boxes and remove rocks from my mud terrain tires. The scissors I use all the time it seems. Love clipping my nails with them. It’s thin and I hook it onto the waistband of my pants with the tool inside between them and my boxers. I don’t even feel or notice it and the clip seems to not ever get hung up. Just seems to work well. I have a nice Leatherman that I bought after this but it stays in the truck. Hope you were able to get yours swapped out.
Adjust the screws and throw some oil in it.
I think Gerber uses 7CR on those blades but I’m not sure..that one seems like a mess..to bad..I have the Chonk and it’s good, I like it. Thank you for sharing & for the tag!!

Mine sucked as well, failed during my first impressions video.
I’m thinking the operator. Reds to try a little harder lol. Mine opens very easy and the locks are not hard to depress to close either. The complaints are kinda, goofy.
If you even check Gerber's site, there is a lot of complaints with these, not just me. You got lucky with a decent one, I guess its the blue pill for you.
Red til I’m dead. But. When I saw you need another tool to open or close. It kinda seemed a little ridiculous. Did you reach out to Gerber? Did they offer a replacement?
Gerber has a lot of great design ideas but fail miserably at execution. Very disappointing. Thank you for the tag, my friend!!!
