Interesting distance test. Would have been cool if there was a way to see where you were in relation to the audio setup. I liked the waveform thing tho. That was helpful
Very 90s Kraftwerk intro. Could totally see Henning on stage behind a laptop with them 😂😊
That Gear Street QUATTRO T-shirt brings back such great memories! Seeing Lance (China Mike as most know him), and meeting everyone there, including my favorite Canadian... Glenn (Ok... Pete Thorn, is a really cool guy and I talked way more with him at NAMM than with Glenn at GS4)... but I digress... just want to say Thanks You for being you... you're the most righteous dude I've ever met! Looking forward to the next chance I get to visit... or see you at NAMM 2024? You could visit San Francisco... I'd love to show you around! Awesome mics...BTW!! Great video as always!
Henning your mono wheeler test scenario should become industry standard reference for testing wireless systems. Not because it's technically sophisticated or anything, I can't really judge that. It's just endlessly entertaining watching you ride up and down the hill, preferably with a guitar mounted.
If only we had focused shots of the neighbors faces as ole sock face rolled by 🤣
This video is so super helpful! Thank you very very much. May I know what camera you are using? Super great quality!
Sony FX3 and FX6
Thank u! @@EytschPi42
the extra clamp is actually for the cheeseplate for audio bags.
What a lovely little piece of equipment (TWSS)
Thank you very much for all of your videos !
I am a bass player.
I would like to add a wireless system on my pedalboard but I do NOT want to use a 2.4 GHz system.
That's why I'm seriously considering buying an EW-D system.
I return a little (you mentioned it a little in this video) on the fact of using or not the EW-DP receiver (portable) as a guitar or bass player..
For obvious space reasons, I would be strongly interested in using the EW-DP (portable) receiver instead of the EW-D (Rack).
(I have almost no more space in the pedalboard and I want to stay with a compact pedalboard)
It would be SO easy to place the portable receiver in the pedalboard. It is so compact.
I see in your video that range is not a problem.
My question is:
Would there really be a problem using the portable receiver rather than the rack receiver ?
Is it possible to have, as with the rack version, a unity gain (same level as a cable) with the portable version ?
In terms of sound, do you think it would still be preferable to prefer the rack version (I think not, it must be very similar I think)
Actually, my main question is:
If I get the same result as with the rack version, why wouldn't I take the portable version ?
Maybe there are reasons I didn't thought and I would be interested in hearing your opinion.
Thank you so much for your answers.
Thanks for the review!
Question: For your distance test, could you not just use one single transmitter to be received by both the rack and portable receivers on the same frequency?
Using two transmitters in close proximity like you were can cause RF intermodulation, interference, and dropouts.
That might have worked, not sure
For a guy that claims to not edit, your editing skills were flippin fantastic on this. LOVE YOUUUU!?!?!? 😘
Leslie’s OOTD is on point!
Her what? I didn’t even think you could see that! She was wearing pants!

Vielen dank...
1) But in the outdoor comparison, would you please use meters to estimate the operating range / break up for the two units?
2) Maybe... the small advantage of the rack unit is in the slightly larger antennas? Or that it's diversity switiching s bit better?
3) Also, I read that even though the portable also has two antennas, it is not a "true diversity" system. Not sure about the rack mount version. Do you know?
Thanks for your time - cheers
1) Don't know how

Aw man I hope they use this tech to create a pedalboard guitar system.
I hope too !
Everyone knows Sennheiser makes the best wireless systems, because they are German.
