I remember Rush talking about this on the show. He was so honored to be a part of this and he was a good sport about some of the jokes.
Yeah I remember that too. It's good for the culture when this happens.
He talked about it a few different times, he had a lot of fun with it.
And he was amused and complemented by various people working for Seth who told him in confidence that they were big fans. 'Closet Hollywood Conservatives' I believe he referred to them as. Fun stuff!

I never watched Family Guy, and am just now going through the show for the first time. Just hours after seeing his death on the news, I watched Blue Harvest and was like “Whoa! Is that really him? He agreed to parody himself?”

In areas of America we still do. I can do outside and walk the street without getting mugged and get a good paying job like it's a dime a dozen where I live. I knew his cochlear implant helped, but I have no idea what dynamic range it could cover.... I assume not much, since he so often had such a hard time parsing voices from background noise.

Was he conservative? Yes. Was he a misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic and racist person? Yes. Do his appearances on Family Guy give him any sort of redemption? No. Was he a terrible person in his civilian and personal life? Yes. Is it OK to make fun of someone that’s racist, misogynistic, homophobic and transphobic after they die? Absolutely. On a human level, I could wish his wife and loved ones all the sympathy needed, but Rush Limbaugh dying was...never...bad...news. It was good news, and I don’t feel bad saying it.
Without hyperbole, you cannot name many more people in the United States, and therefore the world, who with their platform, made society worse than he did. There are few people in the world in the last 30 years, who have made the world worse than Rush Limbaugh. He had a massive platform at a time when conservative talk radio really exploded in popularity back in the 80s and 90s, and he took his massive platform, gone up every day, and he decided to make his country and the world worse. Make it more unequal, make it more hateful, make it more racist, make it more xenophobic, make it more adversarial, make it more about praising the elites and less about the contributions of common people, more about loving selfishness and individual inequality over community and solidarity.
Praising, promoting and pumping up people like Donald Trump when they didn’t deserve it. Limbaugh had a platform, which he could’ve used to make the world a better place and he used it to make it worse place. There is nothing wrong with saying the world is better when some people die-this is one of those cases. The world got better the day he died, February 17th 2021, and I don’t feel bad saying it. And I’m gonna be honest, this was good! Because people like Limbaugh need to literally and figuratively fade into the sunset for the world to improve.
Maybe I’m being unforgiving and vindictive, which I can admit, is in my nature. But at age 70, Rush Limbaugh was Lewis Black’s living proof of him saying “The good die young, but dicks live forever.” So it’s good he’s gone and may he never be replaced. May someone never take up his platform, because his platform was evil and used for evil.
Last February 17th, we can also celebrate his 2 years of sobriety. lol
