I have not read these, I started the first but couldn’t engage for some reason which is odd as it should have totally been my sort of book - lifelong fairy and magic lover, and the setting also appeals to me - I will have to try again
I am so excited about the read along. I am just finishing Emma for the first time and am still heavily in the mood for more Austen novels. I was actually thinking of rereading Persuasion next so this is perfect timing❤ It took me a good 6 months to start reading again after I had my daughter, I think you’re doing awesome! My two year old still hasn’t slept through the night yet. lol. LOVE The Blue Castle. I literally just checked out Book Lovers today from the library! How funny.
Yay, I'm so excited about it too! Persuasion is the only Jane Austen I have actually read, and I loved it 💛 Well reading is much slower, but I am making the most of those little moments Ahh bless you - that must be challenging - the sleepless nights are definitely an adjustment 😂 I'm so excited to read The Blue Castle!
I absolutely love wiring in books too, it makes them so personal and you really engage in them, it makes it a real experience and I think it is more than ok to do this if you own the book
Hi! I love your strawberry mug. ❤ I would like to participate in the Jane Austen read along as I've necer read any of her novels. I don't have a Discord account. I'll have to look into that. Kay
Thank you! 🍓 It's free to download and make an account, and is just the easiest place I've found to have a group chat with different threads all in one place! Would love to have you join us 😊
Yessss!! I've made it a priority to slow down in my reading and not caring if it's the end of the month etc.... it's been so much better! It almost feels how I used to read before booktube where I read a book at a slower pace then chose another book to read ... but now I just do that with 3 books going at once so they are all slow. 😅 I really enjoyed The Blue Castle!
Haha, my brain could definitely not handle three different books going on at once right now 😂 I'm glad to hear you enjoyed The Blue Castle - I'm excited to hopefully get to it this Spring 💛
The readathon sounds great, I have only read Pride And Prejudice and that was in school for GCSE English Literature well over 30 years ago! I enjoyed it, so am not sure why I haven’t read anymore of hers? maybe just because I am not really a classics reader (except for Daphne Du Maurier whose books I really do like) I know I do have one or two Jane Austen books in the cupboard though so I will pick one of those out and join in. It will be fun - Thank you 😅
The Blue Castle is one of my favourite books ever! L.M. Montgomery's nature writing is so beautiful and the story is so touching. 😍
Ahh that makes me even more excited to read it!
Map of the Otherlands kept me up late reading too! 🚪🍄✨🦊 The Jane Austen Read-a-thon sounds so fun!
I love the Emily Wilde duology. So funny and imaginative:)

I finished it yesterday and I completely agree - I think it’s become a new favourite book 😍

I plan to read The Enchanted Spring, Emilie Wildes Encyclopedia Of Fairies, Dear Mrs. Bird, not sure what else. Enjoyed this, thanks😊
That sounds like a great list 📚☺️ I hope you enjoy your spring reads 🌸
I'll be reading Sense and Sensibility for the first time next month and also hope to read Gormenghast 😊
