Recorded using Logic Pro X.
All guitar tones played and recorded on my Vintera Modified Jazzmaster through a Black Mass 1312 distortion going into a Blackstar HT5-MKii.
Audio stems split from original recording using Bandlab Splitter: www.bandlab.co...

Heyyy great cover, are you using neck or bridge pickup? I have a jazzmaster vintera and the bridge pickup has to much treble. Did you use bridge the pickup turning down the tone knob?
Thanks friend! Have you got the vintera modified version? The pickups are quite hot.
This is with the bridge pickup, tone is not rolled off at all, but there is a second guitar part I recorded - mostly double tracking the same part, this is also played on the same Jazzmaster but I think I used middle position for that part.
I actually really love how bright and trebly the bridge is in this guitar, I think it works really well in a mix. If I ever find it too trebly I prefer to just use the middle position rather than rolling off the tone as you retain the clarity of that bright bridge pickup but the neck helps to round it off a bit.
How long you been playin bro? Awesome ass cover btw
Thanks a lot! I played classical guitar as a kid from about age 11 to 18 but never loved it really, self taught electric on and off since then and really got into it constantly in about 2020.
2:05 where am I (for learning purposes)
What camera are you using? I’d love to improve my quality like this
I’m using Sony cameras - an A7S3 and an FX30, and for these videos two lenses I’m using are a Sony 24-70 f4 for the wide shot and a Samyang 24-70 f2.8 for the close up.
Lighting is potentially more important than a great camera though! I use a Godox ML60bi with a softbox.
I work as a freelance videographer so have the luxury of owning some nice gear but it took quite a long time to build up to the standard of kit that I use now. The thing is, Sony bring out new cameras every year now, so you can always find really good kit second hand, definitely worth considering.
@@mattbucknerguitarwoah thats awesome! what type of camera would u recommend for a beginner who wants to make youtube videos to be able to edit and do lighting with?
@@waterboyrene1241 it all depends on your budget really. I’d recommend a mirrorless camera, these are like DSLR photo cameras but they are more compact, mirrorless cameras are originally designed as photography cameras but a lot of them are used as video cameras and have extensive features for video.
I’d recommend Sony because I’ve used that brand for about 10 years, but there are lots of options. Sony have a line of crop sensor cameras such as the a6400 and a6600. You can pick them up second hand.
I would recommend checking out used options because they will hold value more, so if you decide you want to continue and upgrade your equipment you’ll make more of your money back when selling.
In terms of lights check out Neewer LED panels on Amazon. They’re cheap but what you get for the money is pretty impressive.
Tell me where did you find this backing track???
Check out band lab splitter. It’s an online tool that splits any song into audio stems.
It’s really useful as a learning tool to isolate parts.
Definitely not an E tunning, around Db maybe...
This is in E standard
