The mission of Liberated Muse Arts is to engage intergenerational audiences through music performances and multidisciplinary productions that center the works and social justice efforts of people of the African diaspora. Founded in 2008 and led by Khadijah Ali-Coleman, Liberated Muse presents engaging performances that are both entertaining and educational.

My favorite quote of Zora Neale Hurston quote is “if you’re silent about your pain, then I’ll you and say you enjoyed it.” Such prolific words! Hey life reminds us to celebrate greatness while we have it because the fact that she was in an unmarked grave always baffles me. We have to take care of each other’s brilliance intentionally.

Yes, SHE is. She is almost 50 years-old and that is what she felt comfortable wearing.

How would I even notice that? I’m so enthralled with the words they were speaking and the energy of them honoring our ancestors!
If I’d noticed I would have assumed it was not an accident and been content that nothing was lost. 😊
